This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Pretty great haul at Target today.

All PS3:

Was able to use the old $10 off 2 PS3 games coupon (a Target manager actually scanned it in himself.)
So I ended up with 4 PS3 games for $37.50 (around $9.50 each)

Then I got a decent score on Blu-rays:

G-Force blu-ray ($23 price - $5 coupon - $10 disney coupon) = $8
Inglorious Basterds blu-ray ($20 price - $5 coupon - $3 redplum coupon) = $12
Pineapple Express blu-ray (Price match Meijer ad for $10 - $5 coupon) = $5
Total is $25 for 3 blu's.

Grand Total for 3 blu-rays and 4 PS3 games = $62.50.
That's an average of around $9 per movie/game.

Pretty happy....so thought I'd share.

Looks like stores in my area finally got around to marking NHL2K10 down to $12.48. Kinda weird that it went into clearance so early, then just hung there at $34 and then $24.

Grrr.... Buying any M rated games at Target is ridiculous (clearance or otherwise). Every freaking time I buy an M rated game, the cashier doesn't know what the to do and panics! Entering my DoB or scanning my ID is still problematic for them.

Just picked up Dirt 2 for $14.98 and Rock Band Country Track Pack for $7.48, both for PS3 and both were last ones. Only new drop that I didn't see on here were a bunch of Wall-E, Spore and Guitar Hero for DS. Don't remember which version it was, so it might be the one already listed on the first page.

Went in to pick upi Mini Ninjas today because I had no money yesterday and some guy had all 4 copies of them(PS3), along with 4 copies of Harry Potter(PS3), 3 copies of High School Musical, and a ton of other stuff. He apparently just got there before me too. I hate it when this happens. All's fair when it comes to cheap games I guess.

I liked it (though I still have yet to complete it). Pretty much a standard FPS, except in an open world environment, which is cool. I bought it for $10 on Target clearance back in the spring, but I think $15 is absolutely a fair price for it now.

I thought everyone knew about that. There is a coupon that is for a free 1600 points card with hardware purchase, but it also works with 360 clearance games, so you pick up a clearance game, have them scan it first, then the points card, and the coupon deducts 20$ from the total. Section 8 is 15$ on clearance and trades for 15$ at amazon, so points card = free !!
