Target has unveiled their exclusive individually numbered Iron Man 2 3-Disc BD.

Target rep officially says it's "not a [FONT=Verdana, Arial]Steelbook, but could be an IronPack or MetalPak". No clue what those are but still looks pretty wicked.

Eech, that spine is awful. Looks like two pieces of plastic held together by Elmer's Glue!

Out of all the cover art editions, I prefer the art on the one-disc edition... but I think I'll end up opting for the 3-disc at Best Buy during the doorbuster sale.

that's uber gay they are not releasing a R1 steelbook as a R1 steelbook Iron Man DVD owner all I can say is FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!
 
Just got mine in today. Didn't have much time to look at it as I had to head to work, but I will say it has me turned off of Metal-Paks. Even when closed, the spine is kind of wobbly due to the hinge. The front art was lenticular, which I wasn't too fond of, and is affixed rather sturdily to the case, so removing it doesn't look to be an option.

Target released a limited number of the gray mask to go along with their red mask. The gray mask came out later than the red one.

So it's a metal pak similar to the Dragon Age CE case? I wish it was a steel book. Oh, well. I think I'll go for the regular 3-disc BR instead.
 
Target Price Matched the 24.99 best buy price. Said they don't price match Door Buster prices but for 24.99 the metal case and cool cover it is worth it.
 
Stay away from the facemask boxes.. those things suck on shelves and are more of a pain in the ass than anything. I regret getting mine at target for the 1st movie...

Success! Not only did Target PM the DOORBUSTER price, but they have tons of these steelbooks. I might press my luck and try to get an extra $2 off next week when it's $20 if they still have some left over. Then I'll just return the one I got today if it all pans out. Man, only thing missing from this hot deal is a manufacturer's coupon.

Absolutely, which is why I love the fact that my two stores are practically next door to each other. I was able to do the PM at the electronics register, so I think that greatly helped my chances of getting the DB price. In fact, it's not really well conveyed that the price is doorbuster only on the ad, so you could probably feign ignorance and go for the $22 price match anyways. I wish all employees were all no questions asked and easygoing like her.

And fuckable if you know what I mean. ;)
 
Stopped at target on my way to class today around 10 and the guy claimed to have not gotten them in yet and told me to check back around 4....

I got the DB price as well! I got to Target at 8:00 a.m. and went straight to CS because I never PM'd anything with Target and asked what the policy was. Told me to just come back with the ad and receipt by Saturday and they would PM no problem. Since I did not have the BB ad with me I just paid the full price since I knew I could get the difference back later. After I got home I figured I'd better take care of this right away so was back to Target by 9:30 a.m. and saw the same CS rep that I talked to earlier and she did the $22.00 price for me since I talked to her earlier. Thrilled beyond repair I left a happy camper. (I actually bought 4 copies for friends/gifts so it was much more sweeter). In the meantime on my home back home I got a call from a co-worker to ask how I made out and asked me if I wouldn't mind going back and picking up a copy for her son which I did. Now, here is the kicker, by 10:00 a.m. Target must have gotten wind of the PMing going on and put a stop to it. When I went back to electronics there was a handwritten sign saying that "No price matching will be accepted for the Iron Man 2 Target Exclusive". I went back up and saw the same CS rep again to see if she could push another one through for me. The same sign was at the CS desk as well. I asked her about it and she said they got a call from corporate and were told not to accept anymore price matching for that particular set since it was their exclusive. I went to another Target a few miles away and they were told the same thing. I guess they figured out they were loosing quite a few bucks on this one! At least $12.00 a pop at the $24.99 price.

Shrike, it is the Combo pack, I asked the question in a different thread. I order it via Walmart with the gift card, can we price match this in store next week (via walmart) and get the difference back?

WOW. when I go to target after this class they better damn well accept my price match.

I was at the store bright and early and they "didn't get it in yet" and a family friend was working at the time too so I probably could have gotten the pm without a problem.

target employees, cooperate with me in about an hour and a half when I get there or look the hell out.

yea I know, threats over the internet are so threatening :p

I must have gotten lucky then. I went in half an hour ago and pricematched the last copy with 0 issues
