Just played a game between the Giants and the 49'ers.
First impressions. The gameplay is pretty fun, a little too easy and the graphics are pretty good for a throwback game.
1. It sucks sucks sucks sucks that you cannot change a defender after the ball has been hiked.
2. Game could use a turbo,360, high step button.
3. Stats for the regular season are lacking. You cannot see individual team stats just league/conference/division leaders. QB TD's and Passing Rating is missing for league leaders
4. Cannot change team colors.
5. Changing player names is going to be a chore unless you look up everything online. The change name list is just the position, first and last name. It doesn't include the # or the stats. You are going to have to go into a game with that team and get the player # or get the lists online from someone else who already did it.
6. It is a remake of the 1993 SNes game.
7. When you Kickoff or Punt the ball, you can only use the Punter/Kicker. Would have been great to have had a button to press to change to the person closest to the ball. Plus the punter/kicker cant tackle for shit.
1. Have you ever played Tecmo Bowl before?
2. Tecmo Super Bowl 2/3 on the SNES did add spin/hurdle/juke moves depending on the health of your player and how good they were if you jammed the A button. Since this is a port of TSB 1, no surprise that's not in there.
3. This might be the biggest negative I've seen about the game so far. I'll have to look at it myself, but it would have been nice to improve a few things from the awesome in the day stat tracking from TSB 1.
4. Not surprising, can't have EA suing them.
5. This is how it was on the DS version so not surprising there either.
6. And this is bad for what reason?
7. See No. 1
