1.0-1.2 easily? No way. Possibly? Yes.

I'm going to go against the majority here. I think, since they've (kind of) promoted the show for a change, they might draw a few more viewers. I'm going to say, no lower than a 0.8; no higher than 1.0.

I enjoy coming home from work after both shows are already over and then flipping a coin to see which recording I will watch first, but TNA probably needs to go back to Thursdays at this point. Its the safest day to be on during the summer when no one is watching Gray's Anatomy or CSI.
TNA will make a major announcement during tonights TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV at 8ET/7CT. We strive to deliver what our fans want, and the next step in the evolution of the TNA brand will do just that.
No more shitty Russo angles? Good quality wrestling every week?

During the summer, sure. But during the regular TV season, I find that I record more stuff on Thursdays than on any other night. Of course, Monday comes in second.

fuck it. Move Impact to Wednesdays. Then we'll have wrestling on TV Monday-Friday; all 7 days of the week if you include weekend lucha.

EDIT: The major announcement- Bubba the Love Sponge's firing was a work. As a result of sagging TV ratings, TNA has decided to go to an all-radio format. Bubba will, of course, host. He will also provide charmingly chauvinistic commentary during women's matches. At the top of the hour, Abyss will do the weather.

I'm predicting TNA will move an extra hour back to 7-9 PM EST. Why? Because they can't lose ratings wise to the WWE that's why.

... on a serious note I have no idea what this announcement might be. Except perhaps a ratings ploy to draw more viewers in on the idea of some "major blockbuster announcement" will happen at any given point in the show. Only to get something fucking lame instead such as "oh we fired Bubba" and such.

Of course it could be Paul Heyman is coming to TNA?

In other news
Lex Luger
has been spotted in Orlando and is expected to be on Impact tonight.

My idea cannot be topped.

By the way, Zack Ryder tweeted that he cut his nipple while shaving his chest. I hope the injury doesn't keep him out of action for long. First he loses Rosa, and now he could have a career threatening chest injury.

Impact preview:
TNA will make a major announcement during tonights TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV at 8ET/7CT. We strive to deliver what our fans want, and the next step in the evolution of the TNA brand will do just that.

On Monday night, TNA Wrestling returns to SpikeTV at 8/7c for two hours of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling! Got a viewing conflict? No problem. Just be sure and set your DVR for TNA’s Monday Night iMPACT! so you won’t miss one minute of non-stop action. Or, catch the encore presentation on Thursday.

- Who will Hulk Hogan give Ric Flair's Hall Of Fame ring to? Abyss won it from "The Nature Boy" this past week - the question is, who will be the new owner? Tune in and find out!

- Plus, Hulk Hogan is demanding answers from Sting about his recent actions! What will happen when the longtime rivals go face-to-face?

- In tag team action, the broadcast will also feature Beer Money vs. The Motor City Machine Guns! Obviously, Beer Money didn't think that the MCMG's recent video was very amusing - can Sabin and Shelley back it up this Monday against their tag team rivals?

- The Beautiful People will battle Tara, Taylor Wilde and Sarita with every TNA Knockout Title on the line

- Orlando Jordan debuts his new "O-Zone" interview segment, with his first guest the TNA Global Champion, "The Freak" Rob Terry

- Former X Division Champion Douglas Williams makes his return - how will he react to being stripped of the X Title?

- Plus, more on the new TNA Rankings System from Eric Bischoff!
I'm getting really tired of hearing about these "big announcements" and they just really aren't all that big of a deal. The wording of that preview for the big announcement though, and this could be entirely wishful thinking that I know it is, reminds me of some of the promos Heyman would cut about the original ECW. I know it's wishful thinking but I think he could do some serious good on the creative side of things.

How many wrestling fans are watching CSI and Gray's Anatomy? My guess is none.

TNA will probably never beat the WWE in ratings. I love TNA and would love to see it happen, but the fact that they decided to name a wrestling company TNA was a terrible move from the start and the WWE is a household name. They have shows in huge arenas and they know how to market their products very well.

If TNA could manage to get some talent outside of Hogan on some late night shows, that would help a lot in my opinion. Hogan is a big name, but no one is watching Hogan to hear about TNA, they are watching Hogan because he is Hulk Hogan.

Anybody wanna catch a NWA on fire at the local High School Gym hit me up!....Also let me know when Hector Garza, Ernest the cat miller, Norman Smiley and La parka rock the show.

Actually, Sigma, a lot of the house shows TNA has run have been in the same size buildings as those in which WWE holds their house shows. Never mind the small detail that they drew around 500 people here, in a 9,000 seat arena...

TNA back to Thursday am confirmed.

I think that's the least surprising thing I've ever put in spoiler tags - beyond even "Aeris dies."

WWE holds a lot of house shows in bigger arenas though and of course they never come close to selling out. The fact that I was trying to convey is that WWE is a well known brand and TNA isn't.

Kids and parents will attend a WWE house show, but chances are those same kids and parents have never heard of TNA before.

Noobs, You won't be seeing Hector Garza in any American wrestling promotion for awhile. He was deported back to Mexico several years ago due to some legal issues. TNA was always really high on Hector Garza, he would probably still be with the company if he hadn't been deported.

EDIT: WWE is actually running a Smackdown house show in Indianapolis in a couple of weeks at Conseco Fieldhouse. Last time I went to a house show there they maybe had 800-1,000 people there.

At yesterday's house show in Knoxville, TN, an elderly woman was ejected from the show after slapping CM Punk. Joe Evens writes: "Punk was getting heat and this woman just walked up to him, told him he wasn't Jesus and wailed away with a hard slap. Punk smiled and told her he forgave her while security pulled her out of the show, then genuflected, making it even more insanely funny. The guy didn't lose a step from it either."

Ya never know with these stories, but it seems likely enough.

Major announcement indeed. A third hour and yet another timeslot change. I suppose that means that TNA has conceded defeat in the Monday Night War.

Good, maybe that means I'll be able to see TNA now. Between Chuck, How I Met Your Mother, 24 and Raw, there's no room for TNA to record.

Who said anything about a 3rd hour? Unless you're talking about Reaction, which has already been around for a few weeks.

Thursday: Fringe, FlashForward, Community, Parks & Recreation, 30 Rock, WWE Superstars

So CM Punk had a little old lady tell him that he wasn't Jesus and then slapped him at a house show. I need to see a video!

My mondays were garbage. HIMYM, Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory, House, Heroes (yes I know it's not all that good, sue me), Chuck, Trauma, Castle, Raw and Impact. Thursday isn't much better but at least it saves me some trouble.

You forgot 24!
Ya never know with these stories, but it seems likely enough.
You never know, but it *is* Knoxville, Tennessee.

By the way, y'all have awful taste in television. And I say that as someone who watches pro wrestling.

CM Punk comes out and talks trash to the fans and even making fun of our country accent. Well Rey made his entrance and during it. Punk went down to ring side and took a kids sign. Which I believe read 619. Well he then proceed to get a marker and write sucks. To be funny i assume. His mom got mad. so he just looked them. And tore the sign up into little pieces. Well she started yelling and just went off on him. He got closer and said something and then she she slapped the hell out of him.he backed up in shock. Security jumped in. Security took her from her seat. Then Rey Mysterio came in got her and took her back to her seat then Rey said on the mic i want her to see me kick your butt. Then after the match ended the cops escorted her out of the building anyways.

Another report said they didn't eject her after the match.

This line of text is here so I can type this in all caps.

LOLLLLLLLLLL @ JAY LETHAL
Outside of rasslin' and CNN/MSNBC? Treme and Real Time w/ Bill Maher.
So, just not really a fan of episodic television in general? Hmm. Well, like I said, I was just curious. Ever since I've had a DVR, I've recorded an obscene amount of shows.
Why the fuck is there a bell ringing? There was no match, so no need for the bell.
I'm DVRing and have no idea what's going on, but if there was an in-ring brawl, they always ring the bell during those things.

I watch other shows (e.g. Daily Show), but none with any regularity. I watched Heroes for a bit, but gave up around the third season. Most television is so insipid that it shakes me down to my core. But my bar-none-favorite-show-ever is episodic: The Wire.
Why the fuck is there a bell ringing? There was no match, so no need for the bell.
heh.

heh heh heh.

a small gaffe, I guess - perhaps they think it's the universal sign for "get security out here"?

There was something weird about Jay Lethal *gushing* over Ric Flair talking shit to him, but in a strange way, it's actually kinda believable. Still, Nature Boy Lethal was still something I can't wait to re-watch in YouTube.
A great segment that ends up with two dinosaurs fighting in the ring.
There's something about that which is reminiscent of the WWF Invasion Angle - all the wrestlers, all the matches, everything was centered around the McMahon family dysfunction.

But, hey - I'll settle for RVD vs Wolfe if it gets some time. Even if I'm rather tired of seeing matches booked the night of the show - I'd rather know what WWE and TNA have planned for matches two-three weeks down the line.

EDIT: Did I just see "Above Average" Mike Sanders as one of the nameless, faceless security guys?

I'd pay good money to see Rob Terry battle a velociraptor.

You did, Sanders has worked off and on with TNA in various roles over the years.

Lacy can't wrestle, but damn does that belt look great around that sexy little waist of hers.

Sheamus says that he will be WWE champion sooner than we think

....I believe him

Geez, the end of that match was completely anticlimatic. It's like Batista looked at the clock and was like "Whoops, times up!"
