The GBA DS Cover Project (discussion & links)

Any way to print them out the full size of the DS case? I just recieved some cases and the largest I can print one from the site and still fit on the page doesn't fill all of the DS case.

The DS cases are a different size than the ones you order from Nintendo.com? I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, explain in more detail and maybe we can help.. It could be the cover itself, so, tell us which one, too.




Oh, and I just finished Tony Hawk Underground...

I put a good amount of effort into this one to make it look authentic. I used THUG2 as a basis for its design. I like how it turned out and it should look pretty good next to THUG2 if you have both.

Man I can't wait to see us break 500 when the big batch is posted later today...

Are you using letter size paper?

I just set it up to include country and platform info now as well. Trying to make it easier on myself to identify imports.

Unless you have a borderless printer, you might want to try using Legal Size paper, 8.5'' by 14''. You can buy this stuff at any office type store, and it's really cheap. Few bucks for >100 pages.

It should say in the manual or on the spec sheet or something.

If not, you should be able to tell somewhere in its config.


But to be honest, it's highly improbably that you have a borderless printer.
I'd recommend either 'tricking' your printer into doing Legal Paper by taping 2 pieces of legal together to make it 14'' long, or just buying regular legal paper. I had to buy legal paper because taping the pages together smeared my ink.

sendme, if your printer can't get close to the edges of the paper you'll have to improvise. You can print on legal size paper fine, I don't have legal size paper but I taped 2 sheet of paper together to where it prints nicely on one sheet.
 
I would just drop the $6 and get a big pack of legal-size paper from Staples. It makes it easier for you and your printer. A nice exacto knife, a ruler, and a cutting board will aid in clean cutting.

I used that image you linked for NBA '96, SnowCone, and used some text editing and a little creativity on it after resizing to make it look good at 3260x1370. :lol:

oops, I screwed up the Bug's Life cover - I put the Gameboy Advance logo on it, but it's a Gameboy Color game.

Leme fix it right quick... ok, the fix is uploaded. Don't print it 'till the good vsn is up!

NOTE: Snowcone, I uploaded it as a GBA game, by accident.. so there's 2 covers in there now, a GBA and a GBC named version of the Bugs Life cover. .... Just put it in place of the GBC cover, as that's where it is supposed to be... Thanks.

Anyway, you can trim the case using an exacto/pocket knife or as some people have had luck with, nail clippers.

What's the NES Insert Mod?

I think you mean the mod that Gameboy (the user, not the system) did. I dunno what happened.

I've got scans of Dragon Warrior 1 & 2 and Dragon Warrior 3. I was trying to make these covers myself, when I realized that my photoshop skills suck.

Anyway, I'll provide the scans, if anybody wants to make the covers.
