Having recently acquired a couple of tremendous Arcade1Up machines on sale at a local Walmart. Very tremendous. I thought we needed a dedicated Arcade1Up deals thread to keep track of deals. I know deals people, believe me.

These deals are very YMMV but it seems many, many Walmarts are clearing these out right now. Clearing them out. Brickseek links provided where available, check your local stores for price and availability. Brickseek is not 100% accurate though, as I said ... YMMV.

Search your local area, or any ZIP, for in store deals with deals.consolekits.com (Site no longer exists)

Picked up Asteroids for $75 a month ago and Mortal Kombat for $175 a few weeks ago. Already modded Asteroids into a retropi machine. Luv it mayne.

How can the pricing be so different?   some have them listed for 75 yet 15 miles away some in stock but listed for 200.  I thought this was company wide price slash?

every store for 100 miles of me has every arcade game at full $300 msrp, so consider $200 lucky. The Walmarts by me have always been stingy.

One near me has Centipede for $75, but I only have so much space for these and know for sure I am going to buy the Marvel one in the Fall. I do want that Fight Fight machine though, but it's still $299 at all the Wal-Marts near me so the wait continues.

Man wish I had the extra cash laying around to pick up a couple of these, I love the idea of having a miniature arcade on the cheap.

Wal-Mart stores typically clearance things on a store by store basis similar to Target. Surprised that one around me has any deals on these as they are usually the types of Wal-Marts that stock the clearance bin full of $20 and $30 games.

Thanks for starting this thread, OP!

I've always had my eye on one of these and told myself I would get the TMNT cabinet if they ever made one, so when they announced it a couple weeks ago at E3, I got very excited!  I can't wait to get it in my theater room!

Yeah, its really gonna take a whole lot for me to resist buying the X-Men and TMNT ones even at full price just for collection/nostalgia purposes. I'm curious if they are gonna end up being rare or not.

Though I'm hoping for a 4-Player X-Men or Simpsons game down the line.

Marvel and TMNT will likely have pretty big runs since those two will likely sell very well. They also will likely not drop in price as quick as some of the others. I've really only seen the older sets of games go on sale around me.

Turtles is also going to be a bit more expensive at $350. I am going to go with the Marvel cabinet myself due to it having a better variety of games and the Turtles having solid console ports that I already have. I don't believe The Punisher arcade game has ever had a home release though and that is a really fun game.

I'll keep an eye on these as well. Would love for the SF2 or even the MK machines to come down so i can mod them into a retro pi machine. Either way great job on getting this thread started!

I'd like to believe that. The Genesis got a port of the game, but it's abysmal. Iron Commando for the Super NES better captures the feel of the Punisher arcade game.

Does anyone have a list of all the SKU #'s for brickseek?  I am curious if any of my local walmarts have these on clearance.

EDIT: nevermind the brickseek SKU finder found them all.  My local walmarts appear to all be at MSRP still :(

Oh yeah! Forgot about the Genesis port and you are right it wasn't very good and I believe it costs about as much as the Marvel Arcade 1Up will retail for!

I love TMNT Arcade Game and Turtles in Time, but 2 very similar games for $350 is a tough sale for me considering my Game Room isn't huge. I like the idea of having a couple of great fighters and a solid beat-em up in an arcade format though so I think the Marvel machine will get quite a bit of play where as the others would probably not be played as much.

What region did you find Centipede in? I have been trying to find the $75 clearance ones with no luck.

I hit 2 Walmarts that allegedly had Asteroids for $75 (according to Brickseek) but they only had full price Space Invaders and Rampage. I’m done chasing these for now.

A few of these were $75 over two weeks ago. Probably been mostly picked up except for stores that haven’t dropped the price yet.

Yea Zeldafanatic15 I really want one for myself but I'm interested in seeing how my kids are with it, that's also part of the reason I really want one as well. Also I'm surprised Mortal Kombat is so cheap already I'd like to snag one at that price.

I only have one Wal-Mart in my area with these on clearance and I waited a day too long to get Rampage.  Their app says I can get Final Fight for store pickup on Friday and even shows the $150 price, but it won't let me check out with that price.  They had one Pac-Man and about 4-5 Space Invaders out on the floor.  Price tags all showed the full price, but Pac-Man rang up at the clearance price.

I wonder what happens if I were to order these for pickup at the store, then cancel after it arrives.  Do they send them back or do they get added to the store's inventory and get sold at the clearance price?  I'd imagine someone has tried that.  I've read that online pickup orders used to adjust to in-store prices, but I think that stopped...  The ship-to-store orders probably get handled differently anyway.

Seeing listing after listing of Asteroid cabinets and spare parts on eBay, it's probably safe to say that the $75 discounted cabinets have mostly scooped up by flippers and hobbyists. I figure some flippers might wind up returning any unsold Asteroids cabinets around mid-to-late August, maybe Walmart will put them back out on the floor? I'm not sure how Walmart would handle these large item returns.

Considering most stores had about 6 on average to sell, There might not be very many returned. I would buy a second, ifI could find one again.

I did order 3 of these for store pickup at the store that shows the $150 price - the app actually lists that price on the same screen that shows the pickup date and location.  It doesn't checkout at that price, but I am hoping that it behaves as if it were in stock and refunds me the difference upon pickup.  Otherwise, I'll return them... a return and rebuy (if they'd allow it) would probably work better anyway since I read that they don't refund the difference in sales tax when it automatically adjusts to in store prices.

None of these were even available for pickup at this location with the clearance pricing throughout most of today, so I'm hoping there is some logic in their system that is "allowing" pickups at the clearance pricing.  I don't know - I took screenshots of the pickup selection screen with the pricing.

I have already gotten lots of use out of my Centipede cabinet that I snagged for 75 bucks a couple weeks ago. Ended up passing on the Asteroids machine due to space but not sure I'd be able to resist if a MK or Rampage or Final Fight machine drops that low. These things are steals if you catch em at clearance price.

If it is in stock to pick up same day the price should automatically adjust to the in store price.

I ordered a Centipede online at a store that listed them as in stock right before I went on a cruise where I would not have internet access. I didn't get an update until after I had left. When I got back I saw that it had shipped by UPS and arrived at the store. I felt bad, but canceled the order and happened to find an Asteroids on my drive back home. Kept an eye on the location I had Centipede shipped to and never saw it show up in stock.

I knew that if it was available for same day pick up that it should adjust - I am just not sure about this other store pickup option since it shows the clearance price with the pickup date. It's just weird that the store pickup option for that store comes and goes (right now, Mortal Kombat can't be shipped to the clearance store for pickup, but still can to other stores in the area). Often, it's not available at all to be shipped to that store. When it is, it shows the clearance price... but in the app only (the riser even shows up for $15 at one store that it could be shipped to). Otherwise, it typically only shows the price in stores that currently have it in stock. That's why I'm thinking (hoping) these get treated as same-day pickups. To me, it just reads like I should expect the listed price if I pick up at that store. If it doesn't work out, I'll just be returning them. At that point, I wonder what happens if they just ring it up as an in-store sale.

If this pickup stuff I'm trying works, I'll definitely be getting Centipede for $75.
I’ll certainly be watching to see how this works for you. All my local stores that claim to have some in stock have nothing. If ship to store gives a price adjust that works be brilliant.

Same. If I can pick up Asteroids and Centipede @ $75 by shipping to store I'll be all over that like me on a pornstar.

I guess I don’t understand brickseek. I’ve been to 4 stores that brickseek shows as having either Asteroids or Centipede for $75. None had it. I also found that when searching the Walmart app it showed them in stock for $175.

Doesn't look good so far... at least, I haven't seen anything automatic happen. From what I read about the "normal" in-stock store-pickup orders, it sounded like the price adjustment happened automatically. I didn't try anything at the store since I didn't have any confirmation that I didn't get an adjustment. Eventually I got one store pickup confirmation and there was no mention of any adjustment. I sent them an e-mail with screenshots of the price under the pickup date and will see what they say. This may have been something I needed to treat as an "in-store price match", even though I already think clearance items are supposed to be excluded.

For some reason, they only had 1 of the 3 I had ordered for pickup available for me to pickup even though all 3 have been delivered to the store.

All they have on the shelf are Space Invaders, Galaga, and Street Fighter II. I was tempted to get SFII, but I have been so pleased with the Pac-Man unit I may end up keeping what I ordered even if I end up paying full price (I know). I don't really need to throw another $150 at SFII (which would probably be the least used... even though these may end up being more game room decoration than anything.)

I have never heard of walmart doing any kind of automatic adjustment if you ship to store at a higher price to a store that has something on clearance, the clearance price is for the store, not walmart.com

I recall people saying they shipped to the store, picked up the item, then return/rebuy at the in store price. It always seemed pretty YMMV even when they still had their price match policy in place.

See the picture I posted earlier in this thread. I get that is how it normally works, but when the app provides pick-up options and clearly shows a specific price when picked up at that store.... I don't get what the point is of showing the price on the pick-up page if it's irrelevant. When it says I can pick it up on 6/28 for $150, that is kinda what I'd expect. I know if it had been in-stock at the store and they pulled it off the shelf, an automatic adjustment would've been made and some would do return/rebuys anyway since it doesn't auto-adjust sales tax.

It seemed like it was treating these as "in stock" items for some reason - I have no idea why the store-pickup option was going in and out. You'd think if these were in stock at Wal-Mart.com, they could always be shipped to the store.

I wonder if customer service puts up a fight doing returns/rebuys. You'd think if that works, people can just gather these up at other Wal-Marts in the area and just transport them to the store with the clearance pricing, return, then rebuy.

not gonna waste my time but good luck

Normally you don't get any prior notification. It happens when they process the pick up order at the store. If I remember correctly I even had one worker not notice there was a difference, but I still got the price difference refunded to me which was evident on the credit card statement AND I got an email from Walmart telling me I had gotten a refund due to the item being cheaper in store.

Good luck!

That's what I was hoping would happen - I was waiting for that e-mail and nothing. Not that I was really that surprised. Disappointed, but my only hope was that this was something new. Their app just isn't right - the normal site doesn't show store prices on the pickup availability page. I did send something to customer service with the app screenshots and I think what will come out of this is they fix the app. :)

I was offered a 20% adjustment on the two orders I picked up (one was just a couple of risers that showed a price of $15, which obviously didn't happen). I didn't try going back to the store and probably won't be wasting any more time. I'll hope they show up clearanced at another location during the return period. If not, I'm pleased enough with them for now to not feel too bad about only getting a decent deal on one of them.

Damn, I didn't read that correctly (it was at 4am at work, I need proper sleep). I thought you were hoping for an adjustment after it arrived at the store instead of after you picked it up. Sorry to say that I don't think it will happen automatically as I got my adjustment email within an hour of picking up the items. Hopefully you can convince them to honor the app.

My costco had the 4-in-1 asteroids, major havoc, etc.... machine with a plastic bar stool for $199.   Would consider if it was the 12 in 1 with riser, but had to pass.

Just adding as a place to watch.

Saw that last time I was in Costco and considered it as well, but out of all the Arcade 1Ups that is one that I want the least. I'd only buy that one to mod it, but I only have room for one, maybe two of these so I think I am just going to hold out for the Marvel cabinet.

Pretty much my feelings on the matter though I'd wait for a massive discount just in case they announce an MvC cabinet (which is what I really want tbh).

I'm actually more into the announced Marvel cabinet than I would be an MvC cab. I like that the Marvel cabinet has two great fighters and a beat-em up with Punisher. if they end up doing an MvC cabinet though I'd consider getting that too if I can manage to find the space. I like the idea of the TMNT cabinet as well but would only be willing to pick it up at a discount since it's only the two games.

Not to mention many people are forgetting that it is the arcade version of Turtles in Time, not the SNES version with more levels that is what most people remember. When they did that remake of Turtles in Time (delisted now) that was all people would talk about - how it was missing those levels.

I forgot all about the remake of Turtles in Time and I am fairly sure that I have it! But yeah I actually didn't even consider that, but yeah the TMNT cabinet is one I'd get for sub $200 mostly for how awesome it looks. I think I will pick up the Marvel cab when it releases though, these two cabinets along with the Star Wars one will most certainly be the most popular releases thus far since the appeal to a wide audience and also happen to be some of the best games they've done so far. Really the only current cabinet that I really want to own is Final Fight, but I want to get it on the cheap, which hopefully I can inevitably do.
