I don't get this match. Why is only two people in the cage?

I thought this was suppose to be EV2.0 vs Fourtune?

- edit Cage match battle royal? What the fuck
You're unfamiliar with a War Games-style match?
To be honest, yes. I can count the times I watched WCW on 1 hand and I've never seen a War Games match.

Ladder/table on the top of the cage, Kendrick pops out of nowhere for no reason and Dreamer hits a move off the top rope for the win. No Flair, no Foley, that whole match was weird as hell.

It's even more stupid. Seriously.

Bischoff comes out with a chair. Teases hitting Angle or Anderson. Hogan limps out on crutches, teases hitting Eric with crutch, Jeff takes crutch, hits Angle with it. Jarrett comes out, then Abyss, then RVD for a save attempt, that goes nowhere, I groan and turn on the 49ers game I should of watched instead of this bullshit.

Ref bump. Bischoff runs out with a chair. Hogan comes out on crutches. Bischoff throws the chair out before Hogan makes it in the ring. *something happened* They both have crutches and act like they are going to hit each other before Jeff Hardy gets in the middle of them. Jeff takes the crutch from Hogan and hits Angle than takes the crutch from Bischoff and hits Kennedy. The whole time Hogan and Bischoff are acting like it's NWO all over again. Hardy pins (somebody?), Bischoff makes the ref count, he's the new champion.

Jarrett and Abyss run down to celebrate. RVD runs out to talk to Jeff, Jeff nails him with the belt. Dixie is sitting in the crowd looking shocked THISISANIGHTWEWILLNEVERFORGET *end of show*

OK, fine. Hardy bails after an ankle lock. Anderson and Angle trade moves for a few mins, culminating in a ref bump, angle slam, everyone down. Bisch comes out with a chair. Looks over both in-ring bodies. Hogan's TOTALLY NOT NWO music hits, he comes out on crutches with someone (IDK Who) in a coat/tie who holds the ring ropes. Hogan and Bisch face off, bisch grabs one crutch, faceoff. Hardy in the ring, tries to make peace, takes Hogan's other crutch, threatens Bisch, destroys the crutch on Angle, takes Bisch's crutch, wails on Anderson. Cover, ref is dragged over, 1, 2, 3. Hogan, Hardy, Bisch celebrate; Jarrett and Abyss come out and join. RVD is in the ring all "OMG WTF" and Hardy's all "Hey fuck you" and nails him with the belt. Tenay with extreme commentary, fade out.

IOW, yes, yes it CAN be that stupid.
Well, good luck to them in getting people to boo Jeff Hardy.
But it worked in 1996 with Hogan! Why wouldn't it work now?!?

Why do people still believe that anyone actually pays money to see Jeff Jarrett? Have they all forgotten that he's the same guy who coined the phrase "slapnuts" and pretended he was a country singer?

Because he was Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo's pet project when he jumped to WCW. Take one of Vince's discarded puppets and turn it into a real live main eventer.
Hey, nothing wrong with slapnuts. I mean, I know its no "Fella" or anything... but it still works.
End thread. You win.

Ironically I have a pic with jarrett and one with hardy. Guess I am part of they too. So does angle retire or he gets out of it cuz he was "screwed".

I actually own a Slapnuts shirt, and footage exists of me wearing that shirt and holding up an acoustic guitar in the 3rd row of a WCW Thunder taping, facing the hard camera. Jeff Jarrett doesn't interest me nearly as much now, though.

As for Bound For Glory, it was a really good PPV effort that, like many other TNA PPV events, had an overbooked bullshit ending. Most matches on the card were good and the people I thought would win did fort he most part, but that ending... ugh. That match needed a clean finish, first of all, and when Hogan came out, it was obvious he'd be turning and be a part of Abyss's "they" he's been referencing. I just figured Hardy would be the one to lose after getting whacked. Hardy does not work as a heel and this group of Hogan, Hardy, Abyss, Jarrett, and Bischoff makes no sense

EDIT: so. thinking out loud, here. TNA has really laid into the use of the phrase "they" on tv in the buildup to this reveal.

Let's be frank: turning Jeff Hardy heel has some wheels, man. You can't just flippantly disregard it by saying "good luck getting crowds to boo him," as that was the same mentality people had towards Hulk Hogan for ages. Jeff Hardy as a heel *could* work. Not in this incarnation, as he's surrounded by unlikeable people - Hogan, Bischoff, Jarrett, and Abyss. They're not unlikeable in the way the nWo was (i.e., drawing heel heat), they're unlikeable in the "you're really going to saddle this new faction down with those 4 douchebags and *dare* try to make it work?" way. It's like the nWo, but started with a Hulk Hogan heel turn while surrounded by 4 X-Pacs.

Anyway, back to my original point. TNA has a lot invested in "THEY." So will TNA come up with a clever name for the faction, or will the company stick with "THEY"? If the latter, will we get cool t-shirts with "THEY" in white print, surrounded by a white border on a black shirt? Oh, man, the possibilities.

This turn could work, but the buildup is so nWo that it just feels like reruns to me (having so many of the original players and some tag-alongs like Jarrett don't help matters much either). Aside from a Hardy heel turn, very little about this seems fresh or new (and therefore interesting or compelling) to me. Unless they bring in Fatt Hardy; I could get behind booing the shit out of that dude.

The more I think about it the more I think it could be interesting. Personally I'd like to see what a clean cut "sellout" Jeff Hardy looks like. Also good they got rid of the Modest entrance music.

^ oh, definitely. if he's going to go heel, he's got to go short hair, put a suit on, and stop painting his face and doing all that goofy shit. he's got to go full-on straight-laced. go watch Jericho in his last WWE heel run and take voracious notes.

Bonus points if he shits on EV2 by saying he's not going to destroy himself for the fans and be left with nothing.

Hey, it was 10 years ago. I was only a kid. :p

And Myke, Jeff Hardy can't cut a promo anywhere near the quality of Jericho's. Jeff likes to enunciate words for no reason and gradually go from speaking at the beginning of a sentence to yelling at the end of it.

So lemme get this straight TNA thinks I need to care about a group consisting of:

- A guy in his late 30's, wears a mask, acts crazy, and doesn't really do anything but the occasional really bloody spot.

- A guy in his mid-50's who can barely walk, is 20 years past his prime, and still treats his career like it is 1988 - 1991.

- A guy in his mid-50's who wouldn't have a career if it wasn't for previously mentioned 50 yr old.

- A guy in his mid-40's, who used to run the company, then almost got fired, now has no spot at all so is just kinda thrown in random, pointless, places.

- A guy in his mid-30's who is probably going to jail.

Kudos to you TNA.

...and is now the de-facto #1 heel in the company.

...and OBTW. When did Angle start doing moonsaults? Isn't he about 2 botches away from crumbling into dust?

I don't see it working. Hogan was getting to the point where his red/yellow gimmick was getting stale, it wasn't drawing the way it was during Hulkamania.

Problem with Hardy is that he can't get stale. His simple gimmick of being himself and jumping off of shit will never go out of style.

The only way Hardy could get boos is if he cut all of that out of his moveset and even then, you will be stuck with stinker matches.

Also it's kind of stupid to turn one of your biggest names and merchandise mover (at least for TNA who needs income and that stable name) into a heel.

"Gelatinous tapeworms". It's hard to beat "gelatinous tapeworms".
Should TNA have turned Angle or Anderson instead?
TNA should have started a face group to fight Fourtune. Having two big heel groups, and one meager face group, makes little sense. Including Bischoff and Hogan in anything on-screen--in 2010--is absolutely ridiculous.

We knew that "They" would be this result, and suck this much donkey balls. "They" are the reason most people scoff, and laugh, at TNA's product.

What happened with the EV2 deal? How much longer are those clowns going to be taking up space?

Also, Jeff is country as hell. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it doesn't exactly instill fear in an opponent.

Fair enough, several of you point out that Jeff Hardy is ill-equipped to take the mantle of the lead heel.

I forgot about Fourtune, and EV2, and whatever other factions they have in TNA. TNA's big reveal is...another faction! Incroyable!

I woke up today and started laughing....because I remembered last night Jeff Hardy turned heel...and a new faction was created....

So the running count is what? 4???? The fake horsemen...the old ecw....this new one...and i think there's 1 more...but hell if i know.

It's like damn...TNA just refuses to make me care!

I really wish it were Joe, Abyss, and Jarrett aligned with Fourtune. TNA vs. every WWE/WCW/ECW guy Dixie brought in because she thought they weren't good enough on their own.

It would basically be New Blood vs. Millionaires Club again, except the New Blood would have more talent.

To be fair, it's still less stables than ROH had circa late '07.

I would think that Joe/Angle/Anderson would form a group because they all got screwed last night. But I don't understand why JJ fed Joe to Nash/Sting/Pope? I mean those guys have been opposed to THEY, right? Unless they are really members of NWO2, I mean THEY. And why is JJ with Hogan and Bischoff? Bischoff crapped on JJ for months. UGH, so confusing (and stupid as well). Otherwise the fourth group is Nash/Sting/Pope and now probably Joe/Angle/Anderson.
I forgot about Fourtune, and EV2, and whatever other factions they have in TNA. TNA's big reveal is...another faction! Incroyable!
Truth be told, I like the idea of TNA having 3 or 4 warring factions. Blending feuds between individuals with the faction conflict makes things even more interesting, at least theoretically. This *is* TNA, though.
