He follows Jim Ross on Twitter. We're close to Wrestlemania. They're moving forward with Undertaker/HHH, but a Sting interview surfaced earlier this month saying he wants to fight Undertaker before retiring.

I so, so badly want to believe. I know it'll never happen, but dammit, I want it to.

I think the day that I finally see Sting vs. Undertaker, I'll be content with never watching again. That'd be it for me.
 
it's gotta be crow sting though, if they bring in joker sting or surfer sting or nwo sting it just won't be right.
 
Okay - HYPOTHETICALLY - with Triple H's "it's good for business" thing.. what do you think the odds of TNA allowing WWE to "borrow" Sting for one night would be?

It's not completely out of the question, I don't think. It'd be great for WWE because Sting vs. Undertaker would completely destroy buyrate numbers. It'd be great for TNA because it'd raise fan awareness to TNA's product, and Vince has a big enough ego to think that it still wouldn't make TNA a threat, and if they became one, he'd buy them out anyway. It'd be great for Sting because he couldn't work the demanding WWE road schedule and Undertaker is the only one he'd really want to face anyway, and it'd be great for Undertaker because it's his 20th Wrestlemania against an opponent that fans have always wanted to see him face instead of it being just another match with Triple H. UT's looking to get out, Sting wants to face UT before he gets out.. everything would be perfectly aligned.

Although.. Sting/UT would completely kill the hype around Cena vs. The Rock.

Storylines. Maybe you have heard of them.
 
Yeah, to me that tweet is "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" towards Roode over the beating at the end of Impact.

I have much love for Shinsuke Nakamura. My Japanese is pretty terrible, so I don't get to hear everything the commentators say about Nakamura. Just by in-ring persona and look alone, and without hearing his promos, dude really sells the image of being a bad-ass. That's pretty impressive. How many WWE guys can put over their gimmick without promos?

I called it a few pages back. Santino gets jumped and replaced by Christian. I'm for it. Poor Santino. I'd rather it be Khali, but Santino is the sure bet for this.

I read the results. Dunno how it showed on TV, but, on paper, I have been impressed with how they handled Santino, Punk, and Danielson. But, I'm pretty unimpressed with the idea of Danielson-Sheamus for WrestleMania. Danielson has had a legit run—but I doubt the Big E allows him to go over Triple H's bestie Sheamus.
 
I just don't understand why they built Santino up to have him lose. Sure, it makes him look stronger vs Cody, but we all know he won't win.
 
Well this match is fine if they use it to propel Santino to become a legit upper/top card guy. If they don't then it was a waste.

This. Unless we are getting Goldust vs Cody it looks like Santino will face him at mania, and I don't see Cody losing the belt anytime soon.
 
I have to admit, I'm actually sort of impressed with how little effort WWE put forth with this PPV. They didn't even remotely begin to pretend that any of this mattered.
 
Really though, how do you follow two Chamber matches full of violence with a mediocre and mundane ambulance match? Oh, right. You have Cena overcome the odds AGAIN and blow an entire two month Kane storyline by rushing to a six week build for a match you had a year to prepare for.

...Jericho doesn't exactly strike me as a believable threat at this point. He gets tossed at the Rumble after he was expected to win, now he gets KTFO in the Chamber match and nonsensically whines about it after. Why are we supposed to think this guy is a top contender?

Jericho should have eliminated literally everyone else in the chamber except Punk, and then when Jericho eliminates the second to last guy Punk just quickly rolls him up and gets a super-cheap win, proving not much of anything. That would have given Jericho a legit point about how he's the best and Punk just took a cheap shot at the very end to squeak by.

If it turns out that sequence resulted in a legit injury then not much they can do, but at least based on the mediocre quality stream it looked like a pretty pedestrian bump to me.


Hilarious (in a bad way) ending to the PPV. Cena wins with an incredibly anticlimactic finish, and is standing in the ring smiling and pointing to the camera/fans while Cole does the "goodnight everybody!" thing. ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

But... but... but..... they as in the WWE started to hype up The Rock vs Cena one year ago. And they as in the WWE had The Rock wrestle at Survivor Series. And they as inthe WWE has run video upon video telling me this match is so important. Isn't that enough of a huge build up towards their match at WrestleMania. This is not fair. LEAVE THE WWE ALONE! ITS STILL REAL TO ME DAMN IT!!!!

It's pretty pathetic if the WWE really wants the rest of us to think just by announcing one match a year ahead of time alone is "build up." Oh and those video packages and weak ass Survivor Series tag match. Yeah the match might be decent but with only six weeks to go and so far the actual build up has only left me wonder what the point of this match is beyond "well its two mega stars going at it." What is really at stake in this match? Is there any benefit for the winner in the long run? Will any of it matter two weeks after Wrestlemania 28 is all said and done or will it already be forgotten about ten minutes after the WWE logo fades out and the PPV is over? Heck I'm not putting any stock in Santino having any kind of substained push (outside of a week or two at best) after tonight.

Don't worry, the incredibly well spoken internet wrestling community & WWE UNIVERSE will inform him CM Punk is straight edge - and will certainly use polite, non-racist language while doing so...especially since Punk mentioned a curb stomp.

Roddy Piper was long gone from WWF when I started watching around WMIV. When he came back, they made a huge deal of it. Video packages galore. Well, he interviewed Morton Downey Jr. at WMV, but that's a pretty weak introduction to the guy.

Then he didn't really do anything. Sure, the videos showed him challenging Hogan, but that alone wasn't enough to convince me this guy was top shelf material. He didn't wrestle enough to ever convey to me, as a viewer, that he ever belonged in the upper echelon of the WWF.

With Jericho, he's fallen short of every benchmark he should easily overcome since returning. If I missed all of Jericho's prior career except for highlight packages, I would like to know why some guy who (a) couldn't even eliminate Sheamus or (b) couldn't even finish a match (what a wimp!) is going to wrestle CM Punk at the biggest show of the year. He beat Kofi Kingston so far, and he keeps saying he's the best in the world. Is that it? Really? Miz looked like a more credible threat last night than Jericho.

Honestly, if this wasn't Punk in the feud facing Jericho, some of us would be screaming conspiracy. Jericho's being deliberately made to look weak, like he can't accomplish anything. This is how you bury someone subtly. It certainly isn't how you get someone over.
