What is TNA doing that's new, unique, or revolutionary. This kind of simpleton mindset is what TNA is going after - the basic idea that "different" = "better." Except it's not different. The phrase is "old wine in new bottles." That's TNA. We're talking about how they're doing so poorly with the roster and resources they have. We're talking about how you couldn't put together a more embarrassing program if you *tried*.
No Pope? He's facing the CHAMP at the next PPV! That's preposterous! Instead it was more of the Eric Bischoff self-flagellation channel, from what I saw.
Let me put it this way: TNA is so bad that nobody is throwing a temper tantrum that John

ing Cena is about to win the WWE title from Batista at Wrestlemania this Sunday, yet *again* having a run with the belt. TNA is that bad.
It's cool - Pope's not involved in any matches or feuds in the next four weeks, right? He hasn't been booked for (just hypothetically speaking) the HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH AT THE PAY PER VIEW IN ST LOUIS FOR EIGHT OR MORE GODDAMNED WEEKS, has he? So why should he be on the show at all? Sheesh. It would be like if John Cena wasn't on Raw tonight.
Wow, you are just like every other TNA hater on the internet. People like you, I don't consider true wrestling fans. Any real wrestling fan should be happy that there are two promotions on prime-time television right now. It makes things interesting for fans and it gives the talent an option and a way to make a name for themselves with one company or the other.
TNA has a single two hour show each week. How the hell do you expect them to fit everyone into the show each week and yeah it's a shame, but what can they do? Do you suggest they cram everyone on the roster into the show and put on 3 different 8 man tag matches each week?
The WWE has 6 hours of TV each week and they are a brand that has been around for decades. They have not done a whole lot to push any new talent into the main event, they have watered down the product to make it more "family friendly", and they shit all over the legacy of ECW in the last 3 years!
I'll be the first to admit TNA has pulled some really bad angles and done a lot of stupid things in the past. If you had seen TNA back in the NWA days of the company you'd probably have a heart attack, they pulled some really bad stuff back then and nothing they have done since then can be worse than angles like the Dupp Cup, The Johnsons, S.E.X., and having New Jack play Chutes and Ladders with Sharkboy in a kiddie pool.
As far as John Cena winning the WWE title goes. I could care less who wins that match, the WWE title lost any prestige it had when they switched over to that stupid spinner belt.
I plan on watching Mania on Sunday and I do like the WWE. Jericho and Edge should be great, the MITB match should be a good spot fest, Punk and Mysterio should be decent, and Michaels and Taker should be great. Outside of the MITB ladder match though most of these guys are on the verge of retirement.
TNA is building new stars and pushing younger talent. Unfortunately the best way to get young talent over is have well known talent from the past give them the rub. Which is what TNA is trying to do with guys like Hogan, Flair, Hall, and Nash. Not to mention they basically restarted the whole company 3 months ago. Things don't happen instantly, my naive friend. Just look at WCW, they didn't really pick up steam until the NWO angle started.
Now with that all said, I will agree with you that the booking with Pope is a bit ridiculous. He needs to be pushed as one of the faces of the company and not as the guy that saves Hogan from having his hip fall off each week.
