That's funny, I thought it was perfect from where I was sitting.

I agree, perfect shot in my mind. Also, a lot of people have been talking about how Hall looked in good shape. I don't see it honestly. Are they all just basing it off how he usually looks?

i couldnt agree more

I don't care what any of yall type....TNA is just not entertaining to me

ANd I've been trying so hard to care since it was on Fox Sports Net.

TNA came to my town on Thursday night....and you know what I did? I went to sleep! Completely forgot all about it. WWE went to Baton Rouge, which is almost 2 hours from me, and I drove there with such glee.

TNA can have all of WWE's former stars and it wouldn't matter to me.

Why?

Because it's BORING!!! I've typed it before many times. TNA is for those fans who have A.D.D. I'll watch 30 mins of it and in that 30 min gap there will be 3 shocking announcements (or at least Tenay makes it seem that way) with a swerve and a run-in and a squash match to boot.

It's literally like how some of yall would book it!

"Yea, I want Flair to be at the top of the ramp and it go dark. When the lights come on, IT'S STING!!! Yea, and then I want AJ STyles to be there also with Hogan handcuffed. OK, then I want a beatdown until THE POPE! comes into the ring. Sting already left though because he doesn't care obviously. So after The Pope clears the ring I want Flair to try to wheel himself up and Hogan to push him down the ramp with Mankind 2.0 to slug him out the chair.

Yea.....that's what I want!

And nothing is wrong with that...because it was slightly funny thanks to Flair's face when he was trying to get up that ramp...but....I was told for so long that TNA had superior wrestling. Where's the wrestling??? I watch the matches....and still ask...where's the wrestling????

I just don't like the product. I could type forever about my dislike but it'll turn into a novel, so I'll end it like this.

It's foolish to believe it could ever compete with WWE when it wouldn't have been able ot compete with WCW!

Thanks for condensing your last fifty posts from this thread into one, big insipid rant.

My gripe with last nights Impact is that it didn't build on almost anything from the Pay Per View aside from the main event.

They aired that clip of Hall saying "On Monday night you'll see the two highest paid guys in TNA" and they weren't on the show.

Doug Williams declared war on all the flippy X Division guys - not on Impact.

Kazarian - #1 contender for the X Division title - not on Impact

The MMG are the number one contenders for the tag titles - not on Impact.

Destination X was the Black History Month of Wrestling PPVs. Lip service given to focus on a particularly underserved portion of the wrestling population, when in reality they still failed to be the true focus of the program. Once the PPV was over, back to irrelevance they go until it's time to trot out the phony platitudes next year.
First things first son, don't use the word "hater." Ever.

Second, heart and passion doesn't pay the bills.

Heart and passion, when you're pants-shittingly stupid, doesn't equal a good promotion.

I've met loads of people with "heart and passion" throughout my life, and the one thing they've all had in common is the naivete that thinks heart and passion, sans common sense and a grasp on reality, is enough to "succeed." Like those 17-year old girls who move to LA with just a wish and a smile, thinking they're going to be the next breakout actress. They've got the heart and passion, no doubt. They just stink at what they wanted to do, so they ended up doing DP for vivid video for $1000 a shot.

Heart and passion. That must explain why Tazz is making fun of half the stuff he's gotta promote. Go back and see how he handles the Hernandez storyline when the camera cuts to him and Tenay after Hernandez is loaded up in the ambulance and Hogan's asking Ed Ferrara to call his wife. Tazz isn't even trying to hide his laughter.

"Heart and passion." L-O-L.

Third, I've been watching pro wrestling since the second Reagan Administration. You don't get to tell me I'm not a "real" fan because I'm blindly praising the *cough* alternative *cough* product.

EDIT: Oh, dude's a mark for people he met in real life. Shit, I met Justin Credible years and years ago. Bonkers nice guy. Super nice guy. Doesn't mean he should be world champion. So now we're going to equate who we should push based upon who we saw in the indies? Guess I need to rethink my smug satisfaction over Umaga's death, then.
Wow, you are just a douche bag man. People like you are the reason wrestling will never pull in the ratings it did 15 years ago. I never said I was a mark for Abyss, I met the guy before and he was a good guy. All I said was it's nice to see a good guy who has worked his ass off start to make a name for himself. You are a tool and a HATER, just because you don't like a company or a wrestler doesn't mean you should shit all over the guy for trying to make something out of his career.

I'm really just done posting in this thread, I am too knowledgeable of a wrestling fan to sit here and argue with internet smarks like you, that sit around there computers waiting to flame on anyone who doesn't agree with them.

And you can save yourself the trouble of replying tho this (although I know you will). You can't deny that you are a smark and a tool though, just look at the title of this thread! You are a real piece of work junior.

If there was anything that ever needed to be sigged, it's this :applause:

I must have watched roughly 3 minutes of Impact last night on and off, and no matter when I switched over, it was so bad that I begging for another Hot Tub Time Machine commercial.

I keep trying to convince myself that Hot Tub Time Machine is really "Better Off Dead 2," but that doesn't make life any easier. By the by, Rob Cordry and that other guy from Hot Tub Time Machine will be guest hosting Raw next week - so you'll get all the HTTM you can handle.

Totally unproductive day at work thanks to this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAAJl45o5Fc

At least it's Spring break, so I can just get my writing done at 3AM if I want to.

EDIT: Oh, man, Ted DiBiase Jr. at ~26:00 is *awesome*

I can't even watch TNA these days.... and I go back with TNA all the way to the first Wednesday PPV and sat through all the shit from those days. Yet somehow I'd rather put up with the Dupp Cup, Johnsons, and S.E.X. over yet another segment featuring Abyss acting retarded with Hogan's WWE H.O.F. ring.

The early ratings for Monday are here.

Raw: 3.2
Impact: 0.9

It's not TNA's fault, though. After all, WWE had Steve Austin Pete Rose as guest host.

America loves the Hit King!

EDIT: Well, in all seriousness this disproves the theory that last week's ratings were shit for TNA because it was a taped show. People are tuning out TNA, simply put. Maybe when the ninjas return Samoa Joe the ratings will go through the roof.

Here is my take on the WWE rating. Most people avoided the show because they just figured it would be a go home show to sell the PPV and that nothing new/exciting/must watch would happen. Everybody is going to watch WM 26 anyways so why be beaten over the head for the 1000th time on the feuds going into it.

And why hasn't Christopher Daniels won a match since he was Curry Man?
Also, a lot of people have been talking about how Hall looked in good shape. I don't see it honestly. Are they all just basing it off how he usually looks?
Basically yea. Compared to the shape he was in just a week before the PPV and past weeks, he looked pretty damn good. He didn't look bad at all in that old red and black attire. Not as good as he used to look back in the day, but no where near as bad as he would have if he tried to wear that last month.

Daniels gets a dark match next week. Don't know if he gets a win or not, but that's how important he is for you.

Also, Motor City Machine Guns
put up their contract they won at DX in a tag match versus Team 3D that...ends in a no contest.

TNA is run by fucking retards.

I was thinking about how poorly branded the X-division is, and was trying to sleep last night thinking of how to salvage it.

I think Daniels belongs in the X-div.

But I want it to step away from flippy-kids-on-monkey-bars style of wrestling. I want wrestlers to define their style. All prominent X-div wrestlers should be able to adhere a catchphrase to their wrestling style. Williams' "European Catch-as-catch-can" style taking on Daniels' "American-Lucha-Libre-Fusion" (or whatever) style. This way you're giving both *wrestlers* and *matches* identities.

Can Williams beat Daniels with his style? Can Muay Thai defeat Brazilian Jiu-jitsu? UFC is popular in that regard. I think the X-division can be rebranded in that way. No more "Black Machismo"/"Curry Man" bullshit, and no more tower of doom flippin' jungle gym bullshit. Good wrestling matches. Can this guy's style defeat this guy's style?

Of course, fleshing it out would involve taking each of the major X guys and figuring out how they define their styles, and working from there to ensure the announcers and the wrestlers can convince the audience that these are unique styles that can challenge and contest one another.
Christopher Daniels should be one of thee guys in TNA.
The last time TNA was interesting was when Joe, Styles, and Daniels were tearing it down. Why they didn't ever build on the momentum that those three had is beyond me. You had core guys there who were all drawing interest and attention and they squandered it.

Russo has no understanding of how to deal with anything but the big guys. He has no clue how to make a multilayered program that has enough diversity to appeal to all wrestling fans. He writes crap and just turns everyone off.

Watch them strip Morgan of the belt and have
MCMG and Team 3-D battle for the belts in the cage at Lockdown.

The Guns somehow always get buried even though they are 10x more enjoyable to watch then Team 3D. They are just wallowing in TNA.

Orlando Jordan was hanging above the ring and was then lowered to the mat covered in yellow tape. Jordan crawls up the ramp and goes towards the announce table where something was set up. The crowd was chanting 'that was creepy'.

Before anything could happen with Jordan, the thing set up for Orlando Jordan was taken down.

When crash booking fails, TNA has the balls to try and crash unbook.

I love Shelley and Sabin. I was really happy they won at Destination X, hopefully they eventually win the tag team titles with their shot. But knowing TNA they won't.

I just hope they don't end up getting only 10 seconds on iMPACT twice a month holding up signs again.

A.J. Styles defeats Jeff Jarrett with the Styles Clash. Ric Flair was ejected from ringside early in the match but he came back later in the match and distracted the referee. The referee was knocked out. Jarrett hit the Stroke from the second turnbuckle while the referee was out so there was no count. Eric Bischoff comes out with a guitar and he was going to hit Jarrett with it, but Jarrett stopped Bischoff. Styles hit Jarrett with a low blow and then got the win with the Styles Clash.

This was described as a good match.

I don't know if that last line was written by a blithering idiot or someone with a wry sense of humor. I'll defer to the latter for the time being.

I might be crazy, but it always seems to me like they use a smaller ring for the Smackdown tapings (seeing it in person, it didn't seem like it was 20x20). There was a Supershow this week so they would have used the Raw setup.
The punch to the face from Mick Foley on Bubba the Love Sponge during last night's TNA iMPACT where Foley was leaving the building left Bubba's nose busted open.
Where's Vader when you need him? Bubba could have had an ear ripped off, gotten powerbombed on the concrete, and possibly earned a broken nose.

you would say that, but remember, youre not a true wrestling fan. ;)

also, its spring break... sweet, youll be free to call the show thursday night

Did anyone catch Lopez Tonight? Chris Jericho and David Arquette did a segment together in which Arquette busted out the old WCW belt, and ended with them doing karaoke together.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMk0JmlGr6c

Huh. I didn't even see that on Impact. I'm not sure anyone did, really...but Joe's apparently off to join the Juggalo Nation or something.
This happened about 2 months ago when Bishoff had a group beat him up in the ring then later in the show throw him in the van.
Here is that Lopez Tonight clip with Jericho and Arquette.

i enjoyed that. jericho actually looked more comfortable here than in his own profession.

if they did something like this in the wwe where jericho would break out in song to express his emotions. it would be epic.
