Dang how much was the ps3? Any good DS/GBA games or just common stuff?Made a mistake and went to a community sale at the Southern end of Orlando that was over an hour from me. It ended up being a bust and only got 360 Black Ops, 360 Battlefield 3, and 360 Modern Warfare 3 for $4 total.
I hit a bunch of random sales on the way home and made my way to an advertised video games sale that stated no early birds. I figured I would miss everything as they would have people waiting. Instead, I was told I was the first person there to want video games and ended up with a 12 gig PS3 Slim, 1 PS2 Game (Crash), 8 DS Games (Cart Only) and 7 Game Boy Advance Games (Cart Only) for $30 Total. Not a bad find and saved the day a bit.
You can open and clean it. Wonder if they still make replacement screens? Gameboy Advance SP replacement shell seen before, but not sure about this. I wish I found one cheap. An update on that 50 cent GBM. It turns on and plays games after replacing the battery....but
Previous owner must have spilled liquid on it. D-pad is messed up.

At most, wake up between 8 or 9am. I go the ones that are nearby or if doing something in the area. Still kinda new to this, but do notice that anyone posts video games, I don't bother because its picked as soon as it starts. I found stuff (not great like others here) that wasn't posted on gs air or craigslist. Motherbrain, do u really get there early and camp out?that's what i like about this board--i get other people's thoughts on etiquette and strategy for finding stuff. the earliest i show up is 5 or 10 minutes early. even then i feel feel like a dirtbag and always ask if it's okay. i'll leave if i sense any annoyance. i also hate paying with a 20 when i only spend 2 or 3 bucks. i'm going to have to get a stack of ones later today..
Smart showing up 5-10 mins. Back in 2007/2008 I would just drive around to sales. These days I check garage sales on Friday Night and Saturday in the Am before I map my route. I usually go to sales advertising video games, I'll also go to community or neighborhood sales since they are bound to have something. I have had terrible luck at random sales. Also make sure you carry small billsthat's what i like about this board--i get other people's thoughts on etiquette and strategy for finding stuff. the earliest i show up is 5 or 10 minutes early. even then i feel feel like a dirtbag and always ask if it's okay. i'll leave if i sense any annoyance. i also hate paying with a 20 when i only spend 2 or 3 bucks. i'm going to have to get a stack of ones later today..

I have been know to write about my garage sale finds for The Gamer's Lounge. I enjoy the hunt these days
Yea, its possible they sold them. I didnt see any where they were keeping the games. I might have been a ruse to get people to the saleSo the xbox listing didnt have any xbox games, but wii? You think it was done to get people to come to the sale or if they already so the xbox games?

You Sir have won the week
Nicely done puppet master!
what the
Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Micro, SP?Had a decent day today. Found a nice gameboy lot, but I was sad to hear they had a box of NES stuff that someone else beat me to. I tend to notice things others do not, so I was happy to spot the zipped case and investigate if it was a gameboy in side. Got some good records and some comic stuff too.
i don't think arriving 5 mins early is camping out. but i always ask if they're setup before bothering em. if they're not, i'll hit up another sale down the street and come back. i've been told by folks hosting the sales that "the video game people" will sometimes get there 30 mins early. At most, wake up between 8 or 9am. I did that once and when I came back, I sadly watched someone else pay for a NES/SNES/Genesis game lot.i don't think arriving 5 mins early is camping out. but i always ask if they're setup before bothering em. if they're not, i'll hit up another sale down the street and come back. i've been told by folks hosting the sales that "the video game people" will sometimes get there 30 mins early.
Anytime you can get empty cases for free is a good day; it allows you to point and laugh at the IB WTB threads and shout "I have the power!"
I hope you bought the comics! If you need help with value there are a few of us in this thread that collect them. You guys on the east coast are getting some nice stuff! It's been getting rough in my area; the heat must've blew a couple of minds because I was seeing longboxes of comic books for $5 each and a Vita that didn't power on for $100. I've been having more luck actually with going up to the obvious collectors with my trade boxes, not all of them price crazy and I was fortunate to run into a guy who was willing to trade an NES console + 4 games for my ps1 Wing Commander 3 and Saga Frontier 2.
I assumed from his post that he was saying they were selling longboxes of comics for $5 a comic not for $5 a box.I hope you bought the comics! If you need help with value there are a few of us in this thread that collect them. You guys on the east coast are getting some nice stuff!
My bad on the flawed grammar of that passage; these were indeed $5 each comics for (mostly) early 90s overflow. Worse than convention prices...I assumed from his post that he was saying they were selling longboxes of comics for $5 a comic not for $5 a box.
Some quality titles in there, nice pick up! I've been looking for Prinny, Clash of Heroes and Chrono Trigger for awhile.Yard sales for me were a bust as far as games go, though I did give out my information to quite a few folks over the weekend so hopefully something will come of that (it probably won't). Sunday night, though, I had a pick up from a guy preparing for yard sale that I met, and considering my ill luck lately I'm gonna count it. I got everything below for $150, and the items in the box are two mostly complete Wiis.
