The Official Fry's Clearance Thread

Update 11/01/09: I have been filtering out a lot of games that do not exist on the website anymore and removed many of the games that have jumped up to a normal price again. Many of the clearance games are starting to make their way out of Fry's system and some are making them back in but at a more standard price, for example $19.80 now. So if you don't see a clearance game on this list but you have seen it before, and if you go to the store and see it marked up at a much higher price now, it would be appreciated if you can post your finds and let me know. I am just trying to get an idea how the pattern works because as of right now, it is very inconsistent, and every little bit of help is great. Thanks everybody

Update 10/23/09: Lot's of the clearance games are beginning to get phased off the website in order to make room for the upcoming games coming in for the holiday season. I will leave them on the list for the time being, and if they still aren't there next week, I'll start taking off games that aren't listed anymore to keep the list cleaner.

After getting the okay from Guinaevere, I present to everyone the official Fry's clearance thread.

I just wanted to thank sinksand as well as others who put forth the work the previous Fry's clearance thread. Thanks everybody.

This list is just a preliminary list. Most of the games that I picked out from the list, the majority of them are listed on the website. There are also many games that are not listed on the website that I have seen in stores that are also on this list, so if you find a game on your receipt you got from Fry's that was on clearance and it's not on this list, it would be appreciated if you can post it here (and the locations for the benefits of fellow CAGs),and I will do my best to update the list.

You may also notice that this list does not include most of the previous gen console games yet nor does this list include pc games or accessories yet, so I will try and get them up as soon as possible.

Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus or whatever was 19.XX. I grabbed one because there were only three-- hoping that it drops a few times. I grabbed another Excitebots and I'm gonna return it using the old receipt. That is one stubborn game that won't dropped.

Got some juicy adjustment done on my 29 day old receipt. Guy was slightly crotchety, but nice. I've switched to doing it once every 30 days. Don't know what I can do to make it easier on them now. It's their POS that sucks, not mine.

Probably would not have made the trip had I known that was all I'd get, but they were good prices for those games.

Forgot to mention, both of the Fry's in Georgia yesteday had the special edition of Batman (that huge batarang thingy) clearanced to $69.99 or there abouts. It was about $twenty cheaper than the original price.

Time crisis 4 is the 1st game that would finally make me buy a PS3. Do they have alot in your location?

I was @ my local frys and saw suikoden at 24.99 , I can believe it will drop. Also saw:
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: 20.99 . Though @amazon you get the audio CD
Bangaio: 14.74 .. It will drop cheaper.
Advance wars is like 5.74 . There are others but i keep my eye at least on the DS section the most.

I know this is all games right now it seems, but wanted to mention both Fry's in GA have the Wii Speak accessory on clearance for $9.90. It seems to match the website price too so I assume it is also universal.

They also had the 2 different Samba Maracas to go with the Wii game for under $3.

A couple of the games seemed to be higher than what is listed here, maybe they just were not marked down yet here.

I picked mine up just in case and going to see what it drops to in the next 30 days. I already made the mistake with some of the games that were on their way down, and by the time it was at a decent price, they were all gone T____T.

Safe bet is to buy a game at Fry's predicting how much it'll cost in 30 days when you price match.

When I bought DQV, the final price adjust for it was around $12 even though it dropped lower. Most other games I bought were price adjusted to the lowest value. I'd say take a risk and get Suikoden DS now before it's too late.

P.S. I bought Suikoden DS full price when it launched. Love that game and all the other games in the series.

Has anyone seen The Bigs for Wii on the shelves recently? I'm not talking about since it went down to $1.17, but I am trying to figure out when it may have been there last. I'm guessing that some store somewhere must still have these in stock, or else why would the system need to keep dropping the price.

Shows your post was at 12 am for me; when you say "tonight," did you mean that they would drop Thursday night or Friday night?

I assume you meant they will drop Thursday night but I just want to make sure.

Well I was going through the list last night, but didn't really see any drops, but I only went through two consoles, so didn't bother with updating last night. Generally drops normally come in every Thursday, or at least thats how the pattern has been the past few weeks or so, but I was fairly tired last night, so I may have caught a lot of things. Going to do a quick check today again to see if there are drops.
