The Official Fry's Clearance Thread

Update 11/01/09: I have been filtering out a lot of games that do not exist on the website anymore and removed many of the games that have jumped up to a normal price again. Many of the clearance games are starting to make their way out of Fry's system and some are making them back in but at a more standard price, for example $19.80 now. So if you don't see a clearance game on this list but you have seen it before, and if you go to the store and see it marked up at a much higher price now, it would be appreciated if you can post your finds and let me know. I am just trying to get an idea how the pattern works because as of right now, it is very inconsistent, and every little bit of help is great. Thanks everybody

Update 10/23/09: Lot's of the clearance games are beginning to get phased off the website in order to make room for the upcoming games coming in for the holiday season. I will leave them on the list for the time being, and if they still aren't there next week, I'll start taking off games that aren't listed anymore to keep the list cleaner.

After getting the okay from Guinaevere, I present to everyone the official Fry's clearance thread.

I just wanted to thank sinksand as well as others who put forth the work the previous Fry's clearance thread. Thanks everybody.

This list is just a preliminary list. Most of the games that I picked out from the list, the majority of them are listed on the website. There are also many games that are not listed on the website that I have seen in stores that are also on this list, so if you find a game on your receipt you got from Fry's that was on clearance and it's not on this list, it would be appreciated if you can post it here (and the locations for the benefits of fellow CAGs),and I will do my best to update the list.

You may also notice that this list does not include most of the previous gen console games yet nor does this list include pc games or accessories yet, so I will try and get them up as soon as possible.

Oh I did that too, but that was a couple of weeks ago when I picked up Suikoden, Dragon Warrior 5, and some other games that were mismarked. Yesterday however, I took up Guitar Hero On Tour DS and Space Invaders DS, and instead of ringing up at 3.xx, they rang up at the stickered prices of $25.xx and $19.xx

There are a few different Guitar Hero On Tour DS bundles, the only one on clearance is the one subtitled DECADES. Looks like you pulled the regular On Tour based on that price. As for Space Invaders, that price is consistent with the brand new Space Invaders Extreme 2, not the clearance Space Invaders Extreme 1.

Hmmm...DOH! I definitely grabbed the original Guitar Hero DS, not sure about Space Invaders Extreme though. However I thought the Guitar Hero DS On Tour was the one listed here as $3.xx

I went today to the one over in Downers Grove, IL and got Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus for $19.99, Mega Man Starforce 3: Red Joker for $14.57 (Black Ace was still $29.99 and I noticed Red Joker wasn't on the list on the 1st page) and Super Robot Taisen for the DS for $14.69.
Not sure if it's the same at all Fry's, but the one here only had copies of Super Robot Taisen w/o the soundtrack CD. Also noticed that they had The Conduit for the Wii for $20.xx, down from the $25.xx in the 1st post.

I ended up buying Ninja Blade for $11.xx since I missed out on it's clearance at Target. I'll wait about 28 days and then go in and do an adjustment. Hopefully, it drops even lower.

Also I meant that the prices could be slightly different or completely wrong. For example, I bought Castlevania Judgment for $11.80, and a week later, it went back up to $19.80 (though that could've have been because of a wrong price tag). Sorry for not being clear.

I'll post any deals that I might find in the Anaheim, City of Industry, and Fountain Valley stores.

Oh, and I'm not that new, just never made an account until now.

The prices listed in the OP are updated daily by a very dedicated individual. Fry's web prices on games are now the same as they charge in store and price drops carry over immediately to the stores. You are continuing to spread misinformation and it's not welcome here.

I've seen it happen a couple of times recently, like last week's increase on a Littlest Pet Shop DS game of all things. The "Spring" version went from like $18.10 to $19.80 even though it's pretty much OOS at this point. Also Exit DS was under $10 for weeks, maybe months, and then magically increased back to its current $19.80 price a couple of months ago. Apparently games can come off clearance sometimes. $19.80 = not clearance.

Also the price for 360 Guitar Hero World Tour game only is 30.03. Only one copy at my store. Boo. Was hoping it would last lower than the 12.50 it dropped to at Target. Forgot I had seen Madworld at Target awhile back for 7.48. Crazy cheap price for a cool game that was so hyped. Wish No More Heroes would clearance somewhere.

Actually we do... Fry's Concord, is in California. It's the only Fry's located in a city named Concord in the whole USA.

Its always recommend to post city/state when reporting finds or adding a location to your profile. It helps your fellow CAGs. It's odd how many people have some aversion to posting a general location; you don't have to post your street address, just a general vicinity. I'm not in Atlanta-proper, but if I post a find with a city only, people know it's in the Atlanta, GA area.

I reckon its getting to the point where they have filters that set off price increases when traffic to an item that's in a deep discount picks up. At least if I was in charge, I would run things like that. A few dollars here and there.

The Concord, CA Fry's store has restocked all of it's DS clearance games (which is good news, btw), but they have almost all been repriced at $19.80 each. (which is bad news) But, certain games like Super Robot Wars, and Henry Hatsworth (of which, there are still plenty) are keeping their current clearance prices! Including other games like Ninja Blade for Xbox 360. Also, Dead Space for Xbox 360 now has a price point of $19.80. And, so does Resident Evil for the Wii.

I didn't take a look at any of the 360 or Wii games, but as far as the DS games goes, none of the games that have been on clearance has been restocked since I was just there earlier in the night before I went to my Halloween party. What clearance games did you see did they restock? Because I did not see any of them "restocked" or placed in with the normal stock anywhere. I always go through the DS section when I go to Fry's so I browse through the entire section, but I didn't see any of the games that were on clearanced restocked and put back to normal price.

But, as I am about to go to my landscaping job, I don't have the time. And, I was there last night also. They had cleaned up the clearance sections, and they had about 10 or so copies of Super Robot Wars.

That is not exactly specific enough to be honest. I saw a lot of games that had $19.80 price tags on them, but none of these games that had the price tag on them that I saw were ever any of the games that have been on clearance or have been reported on clearance before that I noticed, so that is what I meant. Where did you get the information that everything with a $19.80 price tag on it was a restocked clearance game. I have been seeing those games with $19.80 price tag on them for the past couple of months, and some of them had it one there since then and had never changed. I also saw extra copies of Super Robot Taisen, but they were all tagged correctly to the clearance price still, so it definitely weren't those either. And they did reorganize the section, but nothing was added to that outside of Megaman Joker to the section and the extra copies of Super Robot Taisen that I saw there, and they did add some other higher priced games into their, but as far as I'm concerned, a lot of these $19.80 games that were added into the section, they have been $19.80 for awhile now and have never been dropped to a lower price before then. If you can get me a list that would be appreciated. Whenever you can, or whenever I'm down there next I can take a closer look at the $19.80 games, but either way, I did not see any of the $19.80 games that were tagged that were on any clearance list that I know of or from the list before in the previous Fry's DS thread.
