I think video streaming's been improved. The anime I can only watch ~10 seconds of now lets me watch the whole episode.

Wow, A bunch of my tv shows/movies that were previously not supported, play perfectly fine now!
Nice. I gave up on video streaming because I had the same issues. I guess I'll fire up TVersity again and give it another try.
I like the idea about turning off the system, and it resumeing a dvd.:)
It's awesome indeed. Now if only Sony could add a sleep timer for the PS3, then life would be perfect... :)

This is something I have wanted since I got my PS3. Resume play is awesome. It is one of the things that made me like the video playback on the 360 more than the PS3. Not so much now. Thank you Sony. Your head is now leaving your ass!(I mean that in a loving way.)

I wonder why they haven't implemented this already. It seriously needs this.

Overnight DL here I come! Now that Divx has subtitle support, I hope they somehow harness the power of the CELL processor and put in some MKV support.

I doubt it will happen.

I waited to download this morning. I'll test the new features a little later, like resume play. I don't watch many movies so it hasn't been a priority, but good news still.

QFMFT!!!!
Subtitles for Divx files has been added! That was relatively important to me..
same, but I can't find how/where to load it.. ideas?

One tiny little thing I have wanted since day 1.... wait for it.... a clock in XMB, and more importantly when you press PS in a game. So simple, yet has never been implemented. It was rumoured to be in the 2.0 update, but never made. sigh.

YES!!!!
I don't know how many times I've pushed the PS while playing a game then was like "Oh... Yeah, That's right no clock."

You have to mux the subtitle into the video divx format (.DIVX).

DivXMuxWizz.exe
or
Sub2Divx

If the avi working, then use one of the program to mux with srt. It will took less than 5 mins for 700MB.

When playing the movie, go to option menu and select subtitle on.

Same here!

My PSP can give me the time but not my PS3 :/

agreed.. I'm usually on time constraint or just like to know time while playing games and missing this feature blows! I'm used to it on the xboxdash.. I hope it shows up soon, I hate craning my neck to look at my analog clock LOL =)

Hah, yeah. I actually go to the date/time settings to check the time if I'm in the XMB but it needs it like the PSP which was mentioned.

what the f? You mean I can't play the subs off the DVD's I burned them On? I'm not muxing anything. this is lame.

Was streaming videos through the browser a part of the 2.20 update? I noticed while trying to download videos that instead of downloading when I click the links that it tries to play the video instead, forcing me to use the menus to force a download, which sucks. And then I cannot stop the video at all, only if it's just starting, so I'm forced to shut the system down and try again.
They said this update would include DTS-HD encoding, but has anybody seen if it also includes Dolby TrueHD and uncompressed PCM?
PS3 has been capable of sending out PCM and decoding TrueHD since launch....

Wow, a real interface for the store! All the images are broken and I'm still impressed.

smiggity, that's a new SSHD pack. I'd download it right away but I want some details first.

Good to hear that the new store is up and running. I just turned off my PS3, I guess I'll download it in the morning.

Whoo hoo. Gonna DL the update right now.

Down with the old crap Interwebz store. Long live the easier, less clunky sotre!
