Question for the physically fit.

What is better: 30 mins or the stepper, or a 3.25 mile run in 30 mins?

Reason I am asking is that today I just didn't feel like running on the treadmill, so I did the stepper. I used the fat burning routine, so I ended up with 101 floors (1010 steps) at an average speed of 35. When I was done, I wasn't as tired as normal so I'm wondering which is better.

I feel like I cheated myself, so I ran an addtional 1.25 miles (in 10 mins ).

How does the guitar work in DJ Hero, Rocko/tiredfornow? Is it only used when they do mashups that feature rock bands?
Yeah. There's only a handful of songs on the disc that'll allow that, but supposedly they're going to support it with DLC and what not later on down the road. I'd imagine it just being like quick play co-op, or something.
Yup. If you play through it soon, do yourself a favor and stick to melee weapons. It'll be more enjoyable as pretty much everything dies in one shot. :[

Thanks again. ;)
Sounds good, I got my code so I hope to give it a go soon.

You're welcome!

I think they said there's only 10 tracks on disc that will have guitar parts, out of like 80 total.

Why does Wikipedia say the game comes out August 15? :|

It depends on which gets you tired more. If you're sprinting those miles, then those for sure. If you're just running, stopping, running, stopping, I'd probably prefer 30 mins of intense "stepper".

Does the machine calculate calories for you? The ones at my gym do. You put in your weight and height and it gives you a useful estimate.

Mojimbo, I tried out the FX 5200 and it seems to work fine. It's a little old and dusty but it worked without a hitch so I think it'll be okay. It's yours for shipping.
Where'd you get that from?
Blog and Howard Stern thread. And he gets to sit in the studio during the show .. not just meet Howard Stern.

It does calculate calories...I burn approximately 120-150 more calories on the treadmill for the same 30 mins. Not too bad, considering I still had the energy to run an additional mile+ to get that back.

I usually start at 7.0 for the first mile, take it up to 7.5 until almost failure, rest at 4.0 for however long it takes then back up to 7.0 until 27:00, at which point I sprint at 8.5 for the final 3 minutes. I hear that intervals like this are good for burning fat and building endurance.

It's cool that it was a charity auction. I can't believe for a guy that won't allow people to use Playasia affiliate links because they "put food on his table", he dropped over 10 grand on that, though.
Too bad he didn't spend $10K on nodes.
Or a server that doesn't fuckING SUCK.

EDIT: At least the money goes to charity.

I'm pumped, our new residence hall has a gym inside for "residents only" (and of course, the reslife staff who can access all the buildings), and they've got a ton of bikes and treadmills, where you can log-in and it uploads your stats (speed, distance, etc) to a site, and you can race/bike against yourself every time you come in. So good.

I've never clicked an affiliate link ever since he banned Play Asia affiliate links from people who provided coupons.
Any particular album you'd reccomend?
I've only heard I'm Armed with Quarts of Blood and half of Wine Can't Do It, Wife Won't Do! (it's a double album), and both are great. The first LP of Wine Can't Do It, Wife Won't Do has my favorite song of theirs (thus far).

I hope Strawberry Fields Forever and Magical Mystery Tour are on disc. I'm a little concerned that they'll half-ass the dreamscapes on the DLC.

Sgt. Pepper is the only Beatles album that I absolutely love all the way through so that's guaranteed day one, I need to go back and give the other ones another shot. I listened to Abbey Road a month ago or so and was pleasantly surprised.
I could see them doing like three or four album-specific dreamscapes for DLC. I would be shocked if Strawberry Fields Forever isn't on there. It's my favorite Beatles song, and along with Penny Lane and I am the Walrus, may make MMT my favorite album. I always change my mind on that though, and can vary from any album between With the Beatles and Abbey Road.

I really, really, can't wait for this game.

I find myself excited for RB: Beatles even though the only Beatles songs I've listened to are the ones from Across the Universe.

fucking girlfriend. We are going out of town this weekend and she wanted to extend our time out of town to stay with her friend for 2 days. Turns out her friend doesn't have her own place like we thought. My girlfriend says, "We can stay with them though, I'm sure it's cool. Either that or we can just stay for the whole day and drive back at night." I told her I don't want to stay with a bunch of people I don't know nor would I want to spend a whole day in DC and then drive back when I'm ready to crash. She got mad.

This is going to be the best trip ever.
Are they doing midnight showings for District 9? If they are, I might do a midnight showings of Ponyo.
Say what now?
