Oh OK. That explains the weird ending. Like I said, he took a lot of shots to the head, so I'm not surprised something like that happened.
Agree and at his age, why would WWE want him other than to take him away from TNA? I'm not sure the guy has much value left in that body of his.

I find it amusing that TNA takes so much criticism when it comes to hiring "old guys" and yet just the thought of Sting jumping to the E had people on this forum going nuts with excitement. Dare I mention the Diesel return and subsequent mark-out moments?
Precisely.

cant wait to see the wwe's ratings when they have rock/cena confrontation... but you know it will be interupted by... AWWWWESOME!!!!

Dare you mention Diesel getting a nostalgia pop and then being promptly eliminated by one of the youngest guys on the roster and not been seen since? As scary as it is, I say YES, you should dare to make that point. Those three minutes of Royal Rumble match obviously derailed months of booking that built up the younger guys.

If you really want to be brutal, you could mention how Booker came back, got his nostalgia pop and was promptly eliminated by some of the youngest guys on the roster, and was then shuffled off to the announce table.

WHY MUST WWE KEEP PUSHING THESE OLD GUYS??? I mean, it's clear The Undertaker can't go anymore, it's not like he's had any good Wrestlemania matches lately. I'm sure watching him stink up the ring in a sure to be snoozefest at WM27 will be an incredibly arduous chore.

Sting was exciting because it would have been one of the very few things we haven't seen before. And since it didn't happen anyway, it's a dead point.

Throughout all of that, you forgot to address his point of people popping for something they were pooping on in TNA.

(Nash.)

I guess you did with "nostalgia pop", but there's definitely more to that sort of mentality.

People, superficially, really like that glossy, WWE finish.

("Finish" in terms of shine / polish.)

To a great extent, Nash's pop came from him using the Diesel gimmick again. He wouldn't have gotten it as much coming out as Nash. I don't remember anyone giving a shit about him when NWO Nash came to WWE years ago.

The Sting thing could have been something special. WM is in Atlanta and Sting is more than capable of getting close to the level of matches that Taker and Michaels had the last two years. He never would have gone over and that is fine with me. It is a match that we haven't seen, in the old rival's house, between arguably the two franchise players in the old WCW/WWF war. After Wrestlemania, they could release the Sting DVD and he have gone back to TNA and won the Jeff Hardy belt, with probably a bump from working a strong match with Taker (after his non-compete, of course). Then, when he retired, he could go into the Hall of Fame, something he won't get by never working a WWE match but deserves.

The match was so full of positives for everyone involved, I am a little sad that we won't see it and that the crowd last week didn't absolutely shit all over the retread match that we are getting.

That's an obvious bullshit copout remark about Nash. More people knew/cared about "Kevin Nash" than they even remember "Diesel", trust me. As for WWE "doing the same thing TNA was doing in 2003" -- you're WAY off the mark. Nash was brought in as a cornerstone for TNA -- Diesel was brought in as a fan service, one time appearance (just like they always do in the Royal Rumble). So please, to the guy that said WWE is doing what TNA did years ago, just stfu.

The Sting/Taker match would have been intriguing because it's something that's never happened at such a high level -- they may have crossed paths before when they were curtain jerking, but nobody saw that, nor do they care about that. Besides, Sting going to the WWE is something that is to be believed will never happen -- so if it actually were to come to fruition, then yeah, we would all mark out like little school children.

Internet blasphemy I know but I want Nash's return to result in some kind of DVD. Whether it's a Nash one or a full-on nWo one is up in the air but either way I want at least 2 discs of matches. If they can get Nash to talk about what it was like booking WCW for awhile, all the better. I'm dying to know what he'd say about being the first (well-known since the streak started) guy to beat Goldberg.

I actually watched Nash's title match against Bret Hart from... 95? about a week ago and it's pretty great. Mostly because of Hart but hey, Nash entertains me enough.

Sting would have nothing to gain from fighting The Undertaker, besides money, which I'm sure he's not short on. It would also go against the reason he's never come to the WWE. There's also no way that Vince wouldn't bury WCW's franchise star in Atlanta, on the 10 year anniversary of their death. With Undertaker's help no less.

why are you all talking about old fart nash, booker, and sting?

You are probably right. What is another potential classic Undertaker Wrestlemania match when you can just further gloat about a war you won 10 years ago?

And, in watching the Big Show documentary the other day, there are still bad feelings. Trips using that platform to bury Hogan was classless, especially since HHH is no saint in burying up and coming talent to get himself over.

It's just really disappointing because WCW has indirectly made him so much money over the years and could have made him lots more. His ego just constantly gets in the way.

I'll say it right now. You're doing yourself a disservice if you have never played VPW2. I just finished Kobashi/Vader and Kawada/Hansen and both matches were epic.

I don't know who in the bloody hell would voluntarily marry Randy Savage. I still can't believe that's him either. I am however glad that he's let himself get old. He is a 58 year old ex-athlete and that's how he should look. Compare that to Hogan who is a year younger and I'm surprised hasn't gotten melanoma yet.

Hasn't gotten melanoma.... I'm shocked he is alive.

booker t and nash are signed to wwe contracts... booker t is and always wanted to commentate when he was done wrestling. and nash is signed to a legends contract... im sure he will be helping out induct hbk to the HOF. i really hope they can get the whole kliq in the crowd for the induction... i'd assume HHH will induct him... or could we see "jose lithero" however it was spelled.

Friends and I used to say that Savage would die belting out one last "Oh Yeaaaahhh!" and as he bit into a slim jim he'd fall over dead.m He kinda looks like Anthony Hopkins now.

And Hogan, man that guy has some sort of Keith Richards genes or something. If I can think of one guy I'm surprised is still alive, it's Hogan.
While this isn't confirmed at all, there's a rumor that WWE Velocity will be returning on Wednesday nights at 8pm EST, beginning May 11th on MyNetworkTV. Take it for what it's worth for now.
Not that anyone will watch it anyways.

Here are the spoilers for the next two Impact tapings:

Since I have to be in Charlotte for work tomorrow, I flew in a day early and went to TNA in Fayetteville, NC tonight. I forgot my phone in the car and security wouldn't let me go back to the car, so here's the results of the show. Sorry I couldn't do live.

The building looked to have about 1,500-3,000 there. Lots of military. The crowd was hot for the show, especially the Hardys, Hogan and Flair.

3/3 Taping:

*TNA President Dixie Carter came out but was stopped by Immortal. Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan announced they had won the court case and controlled the entire fate of TNA completely again. They had Dixie removed from the building. Fortune came out but couldn't stop it. It didn't seem to get over, especially since the crowd cheered Hogan.

*Beer Money beat Gunner & Murphy. Ink, Ink challenged Beer Money to a title match at the Victory Road PPV.

*In a bout where she would have had to retire is she lost, Velvet Sky beat Sarita.

*Robbie, Cookie and Angelina from Jersey Shore come out. Angelina ripped on JWow, challenging her to return to TNA and get a piece of her.

*Karen and Jeff Jarrett renew their vows. Orlando Jordan and Eric Young are in the wedding party. Kurt Angle attacked Jeff immediately and the cake was supposed to go in Karen's face but it seemed like they messed something up.

*Scott Steiner beat Rob Terry. Not good.

*Hernandez beat Matt Morgan via DQ.

*They played a 3/3/11 video as an Undertaker knockoff, leading to....

*Sting beat Jeff Hardy to win the TNA title in her return to the company. Huge pop for Sting's return. He looked better in the ring than he did during the last run. Sting wins with the Scorpion Death Drop.

3/10/11 Taping:

*Pope Dinero nailed Samoa Joe with a foreign object to score the pin.

*TNA Knockouts champion Madison Rayne cut a promo challenging any Knockout past or present to face her. Out comes Roxxi. Rayne defeats her. No one in NC seemed to know who Roxxi was. Mickie James made the save.

*Angelina from Jersey Shore, Sarita and Cookie defeated Velvet Sky, Winter and Angelina Love. Angelina was exactly what you would expect from someone working their first match.

*Ink Inc. defeated Generation Me. Beer Money did commentary.

*New TNA champion Sting comes out and cuts a promo, saying that it's no secret he had other offers, but he is loyal to TNA as they are his brand. He starts getting emotional and says that he respects Jeff Hardy but Hardy made the wrong choices. Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff come out and they go back and forth on WCW and their past. Mr. Anderson comes out and demands his title rematch. Jeff Hardy comes out and says that if anyone is getting a rematch, it's him. This brings out RVD, who says that he wants his shot at the title. Hogan announces Sting vs. Jeff Hardy will be the main event of Victory Road. Hogan and Bischoff set up a tag team main event.

*Matt Hardy defeated AJ Styles in a good brawl. Ric Flair managed Hardy and this was North Carolina, so guess who the babyfaces were?

*TNA champion Sting and RVD defeated Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson. It was OK but the entire time, I kept thinking that it made no sense that any of these guys wanted to team with the other.

...and they offered to put the belt on him the first day back. Let's not leave that important tidbit out.

I can't believe he didn't mention Kurt falling down when he turned the corner to go after Jeff. Shit was hilarious.

I also stand by my opinion that the shows are quite good. It might not translate to TV, but that was the best wrestling show I have ever been to. Way better than the SD PPV I went to and a couple notches above the Raw right after Kurt won the belt on SD. The crowd was hot, the people in the crowd were hilarious to look at (King Hippo with a cane near the ring and fatty a couple rows below me getting called out by Flair), and the wrestling wasn't terrible.

Savage getting married surprises me because from all accounts, he's legit crazy and borderline abusive.

I don't think Hogan has put his body through enough to have already died. He's obviously still on steroids so he hasn't had to deal with the adverse side effects of coming off them. He also has never worked a taxing style to begin with, let alone after The Rock broke his ribs. I'm just surprised he hasn't developed some form of cancer from the amount of tanning he's been doing for close to 30 years.

Hogan was off steroids for a while in the '93-'94 range when he was really lean and they talked about him wrestling "at his lightest weight ever". I'm not too surprised Hogan's alive, but I don't expect him go enjoy his older years given how much his body is already broken down and it'll probably only get worse.

CM Punk and Buffalo Bills linebacker Shawne Merriman engaged in a war of words yesterday on Twitter in regards to the NFL star encountering some WWE Divas during the Raw brand's stay in Costa Rica.

Punk wrote: "Watching Shawne Merriman of the buffalo bills hit on our divas and strike out, reminds me of the Bills in the super bowl. #choke."

Merriman replied: "I was just giving you guys some hope look like you were struggling by the pool. Sympathy from Lights."

Punk said: "If you could get to a QB as fast as you ran after our divas maybe you'd make headlines being a pro bowler and not a creep."

Merriman added: "How about I come and deliver a nice special lightsOut ass woopin tonight Costa Rican Style."

Punk closes: "Clearly, I have defeated you. However, You will have plenty of time to think of a better come back while you ride the bench for another entire season. Good luck getting to the Super Bowl! With love, CM Punk."

Merriman replies: "Do me a favor turn your little wrestling underwear around and give yourself a wedge – see you later Punk without the CM."

I, personally would never go at a war of words with someone who did this:

The Undertaker's undefeated streak has never been in as much jeopardy as it is now, not even the last time he faced HHH at Wrestlemania.

I must say I'm not a huge fan of the whole "my name is Inigo Montoya, you defeated my friend and you must die" thing that happens every time someone retires. It's kind of...I don't know. I get it, but at the same time, it's like your friend is a big boy, and he doesn't need you to stick up for him, especially when he's Shawn Michaels.

Edit: Well, I guess that's not where he's going with it, so well done.
Yawn... here comes the return of the 20 minute Triple H opening RAW promo.
You're a Randy Orton fan. You love boring stuff.

This is the part where Sheamus gets buried.

So, that sort of buried the entire locker room.

Also, I'd go with that last challenge thing more if Taker had ever faced Cena at Mania. He's the actual 'one big one' left.

Edit: Seriously, who did Sheamus piss off? Buried seems too light a word. Damn shame.

Earlier it was sort of 'haha'.

But, no, really, what did Sheamus do? I just, I mean, c'mon.
