True, although seeing '92 Yokozuna versus seeing Yokozuna at Heroes of Wrestling PPV many years later was a pretty alarming difference, despite how fat he was to begin with.

Yup.. thought he was talking about the 32X version of Raw. I had forgotten about a 32X version of WM Arcade.

I could post a link to the PC version of the WM Arcade (it's been posted before) but I'm not sure if that's still OK.
I can still remember when Michael Hayes was on WWF Action Zone in '95 as Doc Hendrix. I distinctly remember there being a call in segment on the show and the one caller outing him as Michael Hayes. That shit was hilarious to watch. But I'm sure it was a work.
Haha, I remember that too. Slammin' Doc Hendrix. I was really young at the time and had no idea who the Freebirds really were, so for the longest time if I saw him as Michael Hayes I would try to be all smart-like "that's really Doc Hendrix!"

Doc Hendrix went worked shoot and dropped the name to become Michael Hayes again. He also became the Hardy Boyz manager at the same time.
The only hope I have for Mistico is that WWE has appeared to have lightened up their 'you'll work a WWE style, dammit!' directive recently. I'm assuming TNA has him locked in at this point, but it would be the funniest shit ever if Vince decided to get him signed this week. Then next week on Raw they announce Sting is going into the HoF and TNA was left just standing around looking moronic again like with the Nash/Booker thing.

"We really meant that 3 3 11 video to be Eric Young the whole time!"

yeah but Jake the Snake made that PPV. If you haven't seen his interview or match performance from that show you're missing out on quite possibly one of the funniest moments in wrestling.

Were there any hidden wrestlers in the SNES Royal Rumble game?? Ive tried to look it up but cant find any info online. I have a UK gaming mag that says Kamala & Doink are hidden in. I tried the formula once & it doesnt seem to work on my NTSC game.

There's some validity in what he said - they are pushing him to the main roster and allowing him to bypass developmental, which is usually used to reprogram guys, including another ex-star in Mexico, Alex Koslov.

So is anyone going to the ROH show tomorrow? Anyone ordering it?

I'm really pumped for it, and I'm hoping to get great seats like I did last time in 07.

If any of you follow ROH, could you fill me in on the current programs, that way I'm not completely clueless when I go to the show?

Edit: Here's a link I found on the ROH website that runs down the card/

The Dusty/Cody stuff was easily the best thing on the show. Vickie's meltdown was great too, and Rey-Kane was better than I expected it to be. I LOLed at Cole referencing SMACKDOWN EXCLUSIVE footage...from Raw. Kofi-Swagger's best of five billion series continued, with Swagger beating Kofi clean easily. Kofi's one hell of an IC champion. Good show going by the numbers, but the feel of it wasn't as good as it should be since there was so much filler from Raw that SD couldn't help but feel like the B-brand.

Screens -

From Dashing...

To the American Nightmare.

Quotes -
Teddy - I have every right to fire Vickie - but I have decided to let Vickie fight for her job.
Booker - VICKIE’S BEEN RUNNING THIS COMPANY INTO THE GROUND!
Booker - Good backbreaker - RIGHT ON THAT COCSIX BONE! THAT SENDS A SHOCK ALL THROUGH YA BODY! I’M TELLING YA, I KNOW!
Cole - The WHAT bone?
Cole - VICKIE NEEDS THIS JOB! SHE…SHE…SEE, I’M SO UPSET. SHE HAS A FAMILY TO SUPPORT!
Cole - Rey has the heart of a lion - but it’s black.
Dusty - Rey, lemme tell ya why I’m out here. You been a friend of the family for a long time, and a personal friend of mine. I’m disappointed in my son Cody, and I wanna personally apologize to you from me for his actions. For the things he’s been saying. I want him out here now!
Cody - Dad, why are you doing this? I said last week that I had an announcement for the WWE regarding my future, but this isn’t what I was talking about. Besides… everyone is staring at me! And you want me to apologize to the man who did THIS to my face!? I didn’t have a Royal Rumble, a Chamber - NO RUMBLE, NO CHAMBER! No…
Dusty - When we discussed you coming to WWE, there was pride involved, and things we talked about. One of the things was WrestleMania and one was being a champion and one was what I’m wearing on my hand right now. (shows HoF ring) Somewhere ya lost focus. All the divas voted you the most handsom man on the planet. You lost focus. Listen to me. All them things we talked about. You’re out here being dashing, doing commercials, on SyFy doing Warehouse, agents are calling ya and you lost focus - in Hollywood or WWE, you gotta make choices. While you were being Dashing, Miz became WWE Champion. And Edge comes back after being fired and wins the world’s heavyweight title. And then you come out to Rey, a personal friend, of exposing his knee brace, doing that to you, causing the facial surgery. You need to refocus. I’ll tell you what needs to happen - you need to listen to me son, and you know I love you. But you have to take this time to make this right. You have to make this right - you have to do what needs to be done. You need to apologize to Rey right now.
Cody - Dad. To you, I’m sorry. And Rey…I should not have said the things that I said. I apologize.
Booker - THIS WAS A SETUP. JUST LIKE THE HOOD!
Cole - It was a setup - A GREAT SETUP!
Cole - HE’S HOLDING THE HEAD OF MYSTERIO!
Dusty - A dad would do anything for his son.
Josh - Layla in green, Rosa in blue.
McCool - Boy, you’re smart Josh!
Josh - THIS COULD GO DOWN AS THE GREATEST SMACKDOWN IN WWE HISTORY if Vickie is fired.
(during a non-title match)Booker - If he isn’t careful, he could wind up minus one championship!
Josh - Cole, how can’t you give Kofi credit for competing injured?
Cole - Because I knew you two would do it AD NAUSEUM and THIS IS THE WWE - YOU WORK HURT OR NOT!
Booker - Cole, on Raw, you said you were a broadcast journalist.
Cole - Yeah - you’re not. AND YOU’RE NOT A SPORTS-ENTERTAINMENT COMMENTATOR EITHER!
Josh - What about what happened with King on Monday?
Cole - I’M A JOURNALIST - I’LL COMMENT ON THAT LATER.
Josh - You ran like a petulant child.
Cole - It’s a SMACKDOWN-EXCLUSIVE - The Undertaker-HHH confrontation from Raw1
Booker - YA FIRED, VICKIE!
Cole - I DON’T WANNA SEE VICKIE IN A SOUP LINE DOWN THE STREET!
Josh - Then send her half your check every two weeks.
Teddy - Vickie, what have you got to say for yourself?
Vickie - I’M SO SORRY - I’LL BE THE BEST EMPLOYEE EVER! I’M BEGGGGGINNNGGG YOU!
Teddy - VICKIE, YOU’RE FIRED!
Booker - You want your job back? YOU’RE GONE! YOU’RE FIRED!
Cole - Vickie, I know… I don’t know what to do. I’ll try to talk to Teddy.
Vickie - Edge…you know that we’ve had great chemistry together and my heart was always with you. You’re the world champion - YOU CAN HELP ME. I’ll do anything… PLEASE, I NEED MY JOB! PLEASE!
Edge - I can help you get your job back…you’re right… But instead, I think I’d rather sing… NANANANANA. HEY HEY HEY HEY. GOODBYE!

Wow ~ access to WWEClassics.com is only $3.95 a month?! There's a TON of matches from Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble.. all the PPV's, some WCW PPV's.. even some full Raw's from 1995.. so worth it!

^^^ Anybody get that? Just curious how easy it is to cancel - would be nice if I can just un-check a box on the site or something.

Did Dusty actually turn or was it one of those things where he was all surprised and just bailed out of the ring after Cody attacked him?

Cody shook Rey's hand, Dusty shook Rey's hand, Rey tried to break away, Dusty wouldn't let go, Cody attacked Rey from behind while Dusty seemed to laugh or something.

Even their year plan for $39.95 isn't that bad. I'm seriously considering signing up for it.

He turned. They showed him backstage with Cody saying he'd do anything for his son.

They definitely need Cody Rhodes to go with an 'American Nightmare' gimmick. It was a nice run, but 'Dashing' should stay retired.

Already got my order put in. As far as the back stories and what not the ROH site you posted a link to provides pretty much what you need to know going into the show.

It's pretty easy to cancel; I've subscribed on and off over the years without issue.

I would say no to the American Nightmare thing solely on the grounds that they would give him that shitty Hinder song.

Charlie Haas and Benjamin are doing a meet and greet autograph sessions for an hour before the show. Are these the ones where you have to pay an initial price before you can even meet the guys to pay the price for the autograph? I forgot how ROH does these things.

Hey, thanks for the link. Never heard of these, but glad you brought it to our attention. On a related note, am I the only one who felt like X-Pac was that one guy in the Kilq, that was the one guy in every group that just doesn't belong?

I always thought that was Credible. He just seems so completely disassociated with all of them.

Waltman's problem is that he's made his blunders way too public. We've pretty much heard and seen everything that's happened to him. There's no way we've heard even 1/8th of all the stuff Michaels, Nash, and even Hall have done.

Damn, I always forget that Credible was part of their group. So, yeah, he makes more sense to be that guy that just doesn't fit.

From my experience you don't pay an initial price for the meet and greet... just whatever price the wrestler(s) charge for their autograph if any.

ROH 9th Anniversary full show results.

First half of the show:
Davey Richards def Colt Cabana via tapout. They shake hands afterwards.

Four Corner Survival = Mike The Prodigy Bennett won. I missed the ending.

El Generico def Michael Elgen via school boy roll up. Afterward Roderick Strong ran in and gave a power bomb to El Generico. Strong then cut a promo saying this is a taste of what to expect tonight when he faces Homicide in a street fight. Homicide then ran in and told Strong he wants to face him now. Strong started to walk away when Homicide dove out the ring leading to....

ROH World Title Roderick Strong retaining the title against Homicide.

During intermission Cornette came out saying the next two iPPVs are going to be the Wrestlemania weekend shows in Atlanta. He also announced several matches for the shows including the winner of Briscoes vs Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team will become the number one contender for the Tag Titles.

Second half of the show:
Del Ray def MsChef. Post match Del Ray spit at MsChef. MsChef then spit her green mist into Del Ray's eyes blinding her.

Kings Of Wresting (champs) retain the tag titles against the All Night Express.

No decision in the Christopher Daninels (champ) vs Eddie Edwards for the TV Title 2 out of 3 falls with a 30 minute limit match. Started at 9:44 PM. Daniels gets pin fall 1 at 10:07 PM. Edwards gets pin fall 2 at 10:10 PM. Time limit expired with things stalemated at 1-1. Daniels bleeding hard and could barely walk. Cornette came out and said he'd have no problems giving the match extra time but given the condition of Daniels he wasn't going to.

Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team defeat Briscoe Brothers to become the number 1 contenders for the tag titles. Afterwards the two teams follow the code of honor and shake hands in the ring sending the show to a close.

I just got back from the ROH show. It was pretty good. From a live point of view, I'd give the show a 4/5. It didn't feel like a special anniversary show, but there was a lot of good wrestling. Second half was WAY BETTER than the 1st half by a wide margin. They could have done a better job placing the matches. There were also a lot of people at the show. It was packed. Much more people showed up this time than the show I went to in September 2007. There were only two general admission sections this time. Anyway, here's some thoughts:

Only matches that sucked were the El Generico and Four Way with Corino. I didn't care for them, thought they were boring.

I wish Cabana/Richards was given more time, and the above mentioned matches were shortened. They could have done a lot more together. They put together a nice little match though. Both guys were over big time.

I have no idea how the PPV came across on the stream, because they went to intermission after the Strong/Homicide match. I have no idea why they went to this one so early. It came out of left field. I couldn't see the first five minutes of it because they were fighting on the other side. Decent match. 3.5/5 I would say. The intermission must have been 20-25 minutes long too. Pretty weird taping situation.

The women's match was decent. They didn't give them a lot of time. Crowd was somewhat into it, but it was just after intermission, so I was chomping down pizza and hotdogs, so I really didn't pay much attention.

The Kings of Wrestling, Daniels, and WGTT matches were all excellent. Claudio was INSANELY over, I don't know if that came across on the PPV or not, but the crowd was so into him. Every little thing he did they reacted to. The Kings of Wrestling match was seriously good. After the match, All Night Express got big time pops and a standing ovation. I didn't care for them. They seemed like douchebags. I wasn't impressed.

Daniels was supposedly injured at the end, but whatever. It's not believable. I don't know if it's legit or for the storyline, but if it's a storyline thing then that's just lame. The guy literally got kicked in the head with different variations of moves at least 15 times (no exaggeration) and no sold everything, yet I'm supposed to believe he gets injured at the end of the match after a simple move and a little blood, and can't finish the match. Seriously. Daniels does not know how to sell anything. In the match, EE did a pretty sweet running baseball slide from outside the ring to Daniels' head as he was hanging from the turnbuckle. I never saw a move like that before. Daniels' head snapped pretty violently. It looked great, like Daniels was murdered. However, not even 15 seconds after that move, Daniels was back in control and dominating EE. Seriously made no sense. Is he John Cena or something?

WGTT came out to TNT by AC/DC. Both teams were over really well. Great match, really good stuff and some cool spots. Briscoes dove into the crowd a few times. After the match, Haas and Benjamin went around the crowd, clapping and fist pumping with them to the TNT song. Crowd was going crazy for them.

Overall I had a great time. Their merchandise selection really sucked though. It was really small, and DVDs were 15 bucks each. Total ripoff. Cornette was signing autographs before the show and during intermission. He was really friendly and talkative. Seemed like a nice guy.

I am utterly perplexed by people saying that TNA is ripping off that Undertaker teaser... I think that it's quite obvious that TNA is quite obviously referencing the teaser and quite obviously taking an obvious shot at the retarded notion of Sting signing with McMahonnaise, quite obviously.

I'd facepalm if I weren't so stoic.

I hate it when they reference WWE, so that would be a legitimate criticism, I think. To say they "ripped off" the teaser is another story, when their intent was to clearly shit on the idea of Sting jumping ship.

To be quite honest, I'd die inside if Sting joined the WWE. I love that there is a huge American wrestling legend from the era of WWF / WCW, who has never been a part of the WWF. Very fascinating.

Agree and at his age, why would WWE want him other than to take him away from TNA? I'm not sure the guy has much value left in that body of his.

I find it amusing that TNA takes so much criticism when it comes to hiring "old guys" and yet just the thought of Sting jumping to the E had people on this forum going nuts with excitement. Dare I mention the Diesel return and subsequent mark-out moments?

I think it was discussed earlier the reasoning for the excitement as well. In the E they would be used sparingly or one off appearances, instead of basing their entire product around those guys like TNA does.

Had no idea there was WWE content on PSN.. full episodes of both Raw and Smackdown, as well as PPVs and some a DVD (TLC). The content is all broken down by matches, which is $1.99 for sd or $2.99 for hd, except for Raw and Smackdown.. those are full shows for the same price. I might buy both the old school Raw and the Raw where Miz wins the belt.

Yup, that's the point.

Nash: One rumble appearance and not much else since.
Booker: One Rumble appearance, and then a commentator job.

Sting?
They put the TNA title on him.
