I'm not getting Gears 3 anytime soon either. In the future definitely.
You know, I don't think I've used my 360 in months. And the last retail game I played on it..... who knows. All my most recent achievements have been from mobile games.

JPN cover is better:

Oh, I'll eventually get Gears 3, but not until I can get it for $20 new and only if everybody is still playing it frequently.
So icebeast, rei, panzer and I are the only ones not getting Gears 3?
Just as I predicted last night.

I probably will never get Gears 3, I never got Gears 2, and only finally played co-op of it with a friend who owned it... so I'll probably just wait till a friend gets it and play local co-op, thus never needing to own the game. Especially since I haven't been into a shooting game's multiplayer in a while, and I was never into Gears multiplayer.

Yea, I dunno why, but shooters just aren't doing it for me anymore. I got Gears on release date, got Gears 2 on release date, got Halo 2 on release date, got Halo 3 on release date, got Resistance 2 on release date, got Killzone 2 on release date and so on. Now, I wait until they hit $20 if I ever buy them. I used to love 'em, but now I'm kinda burnt out. The revival of my favorite genre and shooters being churned out from every dev left and right probably helped kill my interest in them. Now I'm looking forward to shit like lollipop chainsaw because it's... well... unique and new, despite being another zombie game.

I've had Gears 3 preordered for months. The first two are two of my favorite games of all time.

I don't care for the competitive multiplayer much (though I did like the Gears 3 beta more than the first 2 since there's a deathmatch mode with respawns now).

But I love the campaigns (especially in co-op), and loved horde mode in Gears 2. And they've made some nice improvements to horde mode this time.

So I'm pretty stoked for it. Only game I'm really excited for this fall honestly. Lots of other stuff I'll get and play eventually, but Gears 3 and MW3 will probably be all I buy this fall as those will eat up a ton of time. Stuff like Skyrim, Batman etc. will wait until spring---or summer even as Mass Effect 3 will eat up a lot of my spring gaming time!
The TRU figure is actually just a DC Direct Caped Crusader repaint of the Arkham Asylum/City Batman, it also comes with the in-game Caped Crusader skin.

The CE also comes with the Dark Knight in-game skin, Batman: Gotham Knight dvd, and the Ice Lounge challenge map.

I'm dying for the TRU Batman fig/skin but I don't have TRUs here in Kansas. :(
Its actually based on the Mattel DC Universe/Batman Legacy Batman. (which is a pretty nice figure) I'm guessing that they are going to end up selling them afterwards anyway...the regular ones sell for 14.99.

You can get the standard Arkham City look in a 2 pack with Two Face for 29.99

I'm not getting Gears 3 either, but anyone who has listened to my podcast knows my hatred for Epic and Gears, despite me owning the Gears 120GB Zune.

I will buy it when it's $30 new for campaign and horde. So that will likely be on Black Friday.
FGT Gears nights basically made the game for me. That and my brother payed for 1 and 2, lol.
Maaaan, that shit was so much fun. Sucks that nobody played 2 after like... a week, but the multiplayer in that game was a mess until they patched it so I guess it was understandable. I can't even fathom how much time I sunk into the original, though.

So yeah, I'm mega-excited for Gears 3. Kills me that both that and Persona 2 are out on the same day, since I really, really, really want to play Innocent Sin... but I have my priorities. I'm up to play Gears 3 just about any time you homies are on.

I was also away at school when Gears 2 came out, which is why I was barely on.

I'll be on quite a bit. But so will my friends. Which gives you guys ample opportunity to speak to BriBri!
(And Doucheroll. If anyone remembers that.)

DARE I SAY IT:
Revival of Gears of War Wednesdays?

Oh god, now every time you're on skype, I know what to expect.

Since I'm only going to buy physical Capcom games used now, how much does a new release go for on EBay Day 1? How close to $60 is it? Sorry for the newbish question but never bought a new, retail game on the grey market in the first week.
Since I'm only going to buy physical Capcom games used now
This doesn't have anything to do with Megaman Legends 3, does it?

I'm starting to rethink buying Arkham City on release. I know it'll probably be on sale during the Steam Christmas sale but I don't know if I'll want to wait that long.

Which is why I will be skipping it and spending all my time on BF3, Dark Souls and maybe SWTOR.

And I forgot F1 2011 comes out next week!

Yeah, I might wait on a deal for Batman too -- I'm still playing my PLAY games, I have Resistance 2 to finish now that I started, Dark Souls is a MUST, plus Gears 3 and God of War: Origins. I might wait a bit on Batman and get it with Skyrim around Christmas.

That wishlist might be a wishlist, but it's not wrong yet. :p

Edging close to $60.
Usually around $50-55, with some games, high $40s.

No the MvC 3 fiasco mainly as the most current Nintendo hardware I own is the Gamecube, but Capcom's attitude towards the Mega Man fans hasn't helped.

Just the MvC3 thing? If so, then that's cool, because it was a pretty douche move to release a new version of the game within the same year it came out. Especially when they basically abandoned MvC3 pretty quickly. That's just nitsuma's team, though, so whatever.

Remember, this is the same Capcom that greenlit DR2:OTR (whether for better or worse remains debatable) and gave the DMC franchise to NT to make the DmC abortion.

I'm definitely not buying UMvC3 new either. And because of the way this went down, I'll probably never buy another Capcom fighter new in the very least. I understand where he's coming from on that alone and agree with him 100%.
Umm Holy fuck yes?

Will be shown during the Packers/Saints game tonight! Unlike MW3, this ad contains 90% gameplay!
Was that supposed to be sarcastic?

Still don't understand the UMVC3 hatred, but I don't think I ever will.

You guys can say it's because I love the series, I'll say it is because I don't see what the difference between MvC3 sitting on your shelf and never playing it is, versus the opportunity to play a fresh take on the game.

I just don't see why the fact that it exists enrages people, it's like you've conditioned yourself to be so angry and think that a game isn't relevant anymore, but none of you played in tournaments or took the game seriously anyway, so you should still be able to get the same level of enjoyment out of vanilla MvC3.

It's not like Capcom is coming to your home at night and stealing your copy of MvC3. Don't buy Ultimate, continue to play vanilla if you choose. Problem solved.

The Whiskey Media sub has paid for itself after watching the 11/19/10 Happy Hour where Jeff and Ryan try out Babysitting Mama, which is the origin of where they got Cool Baby. It's Jeff comments after seeing the game say to take off the Wii Remote Jacket before putting the Wii Remote into the doll that made it great. "You gotta put it in unprotected. You gotta do that baby raw."

So I rented Infamous 2 last night and I've done 13 missions so far. Does it go anywhere? I'm not really giving a shit about not-Cole and Zeke right now.

Yeah, that'll work.

I'm sure there will be TONS of online competition after most people move to MvC3 (like it or not, people *will* move). There will be nobody left to watch card fucking (because "spectator mode just wasn't technically possible") in a lobby or wait 23 minutes to find a ranked match.

The long and short of it is that Capcom released a product and essentially are now selling a new superior "sequel" to it at retail less than 9 months after the first came out. That's a dick move, no matter if you want the game or not.

This is the Internet. People hate everything.

By the way, is Dead Island worth picking up?

Lol, sorry. I wasn't sure if you linked the wrong video or something since the rest of your post didn't seem sarcastic.

I guarantee you there will be plenty of people still playing vanilla.

I'm not saying that I would prefer this to happen with every game, but you already bought and played for a game. You were given the service you paid for. Not happy with the way the online worked in vanilla? Should've looked into it before you purchased it.

Also, it is 9 months instead of a year like most sequels, but with them only charging $40, I think this is forgivable. Call of Duty / Madden / Battlefield etc... that re-hash the same shit over and over charge $60 every year.

The true long and short of it is this.... if you don't think it is worth your money, don't buy it. It's not worth getting butthurt over.

I don't think so, it's hella boring and has weak combat.
Ok. I reserved it at RedBox. I'll check it out for a few days.
Good plan. That is what I did as well. Ended up bringing it back after one day and getting Space Marine instead (which is a pretty BA game).

You know, I think I might like red box a lot. It will definitely cost more than gamefly if you play a little each night, but if you just want to try/knock out an 8 hour game it's perfect.
