Gotta love the people that panicked yesterday about the potential snow we were getting. Heard anything from a dusting to 8 inches. I look outside, not a drop of snow on the ground.

Fine by me, since I'd most likely get stuck shoveling it at some point today anyways.
 
Crysis 2 is done. Pretty fun though I think the first one was better. Now onto a trifecta of Rage/Deus Ex/Space Marine. Gotta try to beat as much shit as possible before I fly home and only have my laptop.
 
So let's go do family christmas/birth announcement pictures at JC pennys. And then see how much wine I need later tonight to deal with the invetible stress.

Almost finished with AC 2.

We have 16 hours of mandatory overtime. Thankfully I get paid for that, but sadly, I have to work for it.

Just found out I have to close Christmas Eve which sucks. I figured I'd be opening, but considering an e-mail was sent out that instead of our expected 7pm time, we're now staying open until 9pm. Was hoping to start the drive to my mom's that night. I know one guy got the morning shift, and even though it means waking up at 5 am, might switch with him if he wants to.
 
Yeah, I will get used to it after I figure everything out and get further into the work. So much for thinking I will begin my life now...maybe after the winter.

My DVR has about 11 fringe episodes that I can never seem to get around to watching.

Can't watch it when the kids are up, and when they're asleep I'd rather play games.
 
They entire thing is a huge light/laser/video/pyrotechnic show set to the live music. It's absurd. And would be great to watch blazed.

First they played the entirety (I think, I have never listened to their albums) of one of their Christmas albums, then some songs from Night Castle, and then some songs from another Christmas album and ended with a reprise of Christmas Eve/Sarajevo, which as expected was IMO the best part of the show both times it was played.

At one point they turned the stage rigging/trusses/whatever into three huge fire-breathing dragons. It was just extremely impressive and entertaining.

I remember one time I meant to private message brak to tell him what a tool wubb was. But because wubb was on my mind I accidentally sent it to wubb. It was legit the day before he got kicked out, so he may not have had any power to do anything. That guy was a grade A Kansas City $$$$$$.
 
Wubb was the second worst moderator ever. His vindictive asshole/coward gimmick is second only to a re9ard/IMC.

I haven't seen it yet but Metal Gear has never impressed me. Maybe its one of those Final Fantasy things where you had to be a fan as a kid and grow up with it to get it.

Given the fact that DmC is ruining the REAL DMC, I'll take a platinum games DMC within the MG Universe if it works out well.

That said, the trailer didn't look good, really. I hope it gets polished up... Vanquish was righteous and Bayonetta was damn good.
 
Wow. The trailer for Metal Gear Rising was disappointing, especially seeing that it's Platinum Games that's behind it now. It looks nothing like it did during the original reveal.
 
The fact that the Metal Gear Rising trailer was being premiered at the VGAs should have been a huge red flag. Disappointing.

I mean, teenage girl in a run down building runs to find older man beating another human to death. She's okay with it and is elated to find 3 bullets. Bad things come, they run for their lives, and the world is empty and looks a bit like Enslaved.

Not sure where the Resident Evil comes in there.
 
What is this,the second or third morning of waking up before 7? If I was on my regular work schedule, this would be killing me.

And I thought I could go right to the end of AC 2, but it seems I must play through the DLC missions first. I bought the digital version when it was on sale months ago and forgot it came with those. Well, maybe by Christmas I'll be done with it.

I can't even stay up late enough to play :ps3: anymore.

Personally I was hoping to see a new take on the whole zombie scene. Instead its just another game that takes place after an outbreak. It seems like True Grit meets I am Legend. As for gameplay its still a wait and see, sure its Naughty Dog which means what great graphics but terrible aiming?/ rant
 
What's the deal with Brink? I constantly see this game on sell from Amazon or elsewhere at the sub $10 range.

Is it that bad or did it just sell poorly and they're trying to clear out the inventory?
 
It's ok but it is all but online only and it was damn near impossible to connect to people last time I checked. It's fun to play and a good change of pace from the traditional FPSs, but since you can't play with any one it sort of ruins it.
