I may have to get Bloody Wolf. It's one of the best TG-16 games I owned. I have to check if all the cheat codes work though. Does anyone know?
NES Open golf is a really good game. I used to play that shit all the time when I was a kid.
Is it anything like the original Golf game on the Gameboy ?

Much, much better.

3 courses with full tournaments. I loved NES Open.

I'm really curious to see comments on World Sports Competition though.
Another week I can save some money.
Actually, I was just thinking of this. If, say, you put money into your account in anticipation of all the great classics that you'd be playing again, then Nintendo already has the money, and nothing else needs to happen.

Pisses me off really.
I had so much fun with Bloody Wolf I can't see how anyone can hate it so badly.
No widescreen.

I'm tired of all these freakin TG-16 games that keep coming out and the next version of said game(ex: sonic 1-sonic 2). Why don't they just freakin release Super Metroid already?

God forbid they actually release something that people are waiting for like, oh, say...

Paper Mario
Super Mario RPG
F-Zero X
Super Mario Bros. 2

And let's not forget Kirby's Dream Course, which still needs an ESRB rating! They'd better bring that over here, damnit!

Super Mario RPG *HAS NEVER BEEN CONFIRMED*. By anyone. Ever.

It was a random ESRB rating months ago, which really doesn't seem to mean shit. Square has never said it was coming. Nintendo has never said it was coming. The other three are definitely coming, as they were confirmed for other regions.

Super Mario RPG? Nope. No news there. Nothing since an ESRB rating 4 months ago, along with other mystery games like Super Metroid or Kirby Superstar.

You know how we will know SMRPG is coming? Japan will get it first. Yes, this week sucks, but cmon, stop wishing a game would come out when it is probably weeks, months, if not years away? Almost every post is the same pointless whining for a game that, for all we know, isn't even in the pipeline. I might as well complain that this week wasn't Earthbound or Super Metroid.

And if Square has any sort of say on the game, we might never see it for a long time, since Square doesn't want their games (well, their RPG's, it seems) on the VC.
I wish they would do at least 1 new N64 game a month.
Month isn't over yet, and I have a feeling we'll see F-Zero X next week.

Call it a hunch.
I wish they would do at least 1 new N64 game a month.
Paper Mario was in Nintendo Power as being one of June's VC picks, so I'm assuming it comes out before the month is over.
Yawn. Great, more shmups and sports games. Great.
And not even a classic sports game like Baseball Stars.....

Man I almost want to track down a Nintendo and a copy of this game just to play it, if I had anywhere to plug it in.

Oh really........ I hope so then.

So in one sentence you say that Mario RPG has "never been confirmed by anybody," and in the next you aknowledge that it was given an ESRB rating. ... Ri~ght.

The ESRB rating is the first step towards a Virtual Console release for older games here. Why would they be receiving these ratings unless they're in the pipeline? Nintendo has to submit the games for review, after all. And though you're probably correct in that Japan will get Mario RPG first, there have been instances where we've gotten titles before them. Kirby's Adventure, Star Fox 64, and Streets of Rage, just to name a few, all came out here first. Japan *still* doesn't have Donkey Kong Country 2, either.
I might as well complain that this week wasn't Earthbound or Super Metroid.
EarthBound doesn't have an ESRB rating yet. Super Metroid does, and I'm sorry for not complaining about that one sooner.

Damnit Nintendo, hurry up and release Super Metroid!!

ESRB is not confirmation of anything. ESRB is a necessary step in the process of putting it on the VC. Whether its the first step or the last step, it can be rated and never show up on the VC. A game can also go on the VC before its rating is posted on the ESRB's website.

Seriously do people need to act like brats every week when something they want isn't posted?

Devil's Crush will probably be on deck for July. They only have one more TG16 game leftover for their announced June releases - China Warrior.

YES. Perhaps you don't understand the urgency of releasing Kirby's Dream Course the way I do.

got to take my Wii with my on my first business trip (internship). Everyone goes to bed so early and I refuse to sleep before midnight. Guess I'll be playing the Wii a lot this week.
YES. Perhaps you don't understand the urgency of releasing Kirby's Dream Course the way I do.
Which would be what just out of curiosity?

I'm probably the only one who would buy it, but I'd love to see Dusty Diamond's Allstar Softball on the VC. Yeah, the Japanese version is better but it's still the same game.

I stopped caring about the Virtual Console. Why if you ask? Well just because Nintendo is not releasing anything good and for me to get hyped over crap just isn't worth it. Ok that doesn't mean I wont stop buying VC games, but that means until they release something good I will not get hyped up over it and hope they release what I want, I will just expect crap from them every week and not bother to care, until that monday they do release something I want, lol.

I got in two rounds with NES Open on Monday night and it was just as good as I remembered it being.

One thing that struck me about it was how difficult the game was in comparison to some of the golf games today. They hold your hand and tell you how hard to hit every shot today, this one just says here's the distance and your lie, figure it out for yourself. I love it.
Is it anything like the original Golf game on the Gameboy ?
I never played Golf on Gameboy, so couldn't tell you.

It has Mario, Luigi, and Peach in it, but it's way more realistic golf than say Mario golf.

One of the few golf games I have ever really liked.

Austrailia just got Mega Man. UK got Mario 2 like a month ago and we still haven't received it yet. So add those to your speculation pool for Monday. China Warrior is the only confirmed game thus far.

I just got 2 more 2000 point codes emailed to me today. I have officially hyped myself up for tomorrow because everytime my points stack they start to burn a hole in my virtual pocket.

I'm waiting on Nintendo to send me a return label; my Wii has that strange graphical glitch where all these strange dots show up on the screen (I've seen it called "ripping," I think). Nevertheless, if it arrives tomorrow it's going out in tomorrow's mail.

If so, although I'm not a paranoid person, please do expect a stellar lineup for the VC. ;)
