Oh wow, Snood. That brings back good memories of heated high score battles between me and my brother. Now that I have mouse for my laptop I can play it again...

I'm currently playing Oblivion on my 360. I can already tell this game is massive.
I had high score battles with coworkers and even friends who worked for other companies.

Don't forget to download the Free Oblivion content they have up now. I think its only gonna be there for a few more days.

An hour into blue dragon, six hours into HL2, still need to beat everyday shooter, and need to hop on warhawk soon to play some games.
E4 is great.
2nded ers... or yeah..

i want to play it more, but Puzzle quest is such a repetitive time waster that once you start, time flies... once I get tired more of PQ I'll die hard put time into E4... IMHO it's the spiritual sequel to REZ.

I'm still surprised at how fast I grew bored of Halo 3... I hated the series and enjoyed part 3 giving it a chance, but I'm not touching it for a while so that I can get back into it later and re-enjoy it.

Also I am seriosly considering eye of judgement with all the positive reviews... i'm just scared it will kill my wallet since when I get hooked to TCGs, I buy too much of the damn cards. I'll see if KoFXI keeps me busy enough.

Been playing some Titan Quest tonight. Haven't played a hack n' slash in forever.

Tell me about it. I'm trying my best to avoid EBGS, or any store that might have it, lest I cave in and plunk down $70 I don't really have, along with an endless amount of money trying to build several decks and strategies . . . DAMN IT, see you got me thinking about it. :bomb:

That reminds me. Besides SOTN can we get a complete game on XBLA ffs?! I mean like an action or RPG we can get really immersed in. "Cadash" would really be welcome for me or "Faxanadu" non-NES stripped down graphics.

PGR4 was a good purchase choice. GW: Waves is pretty awesome too. Played that a little before heading out tonight. What a mess of a night.

furthered myself in phantom hourglass and played some more all pro. trading in a big lot tomorrow at work, so i'll be able to get disgaea afternoon of darkness and dragon quest monsters joker withouth having to drop a dime. good stuff.

Finished Stranglehold tonight. Have to say I thought it was an overall pretty good game. If I had to rate it I'd give an 8.0/10. I am very glad I went ahead and got it for the 360 as well. No slowdown like there was on the PS3 demo and that was killing the game for me, and made me decide not to wait till the end of the month to get it. Now I am going to start Folklore and see how I like that.

Thanks for the heads up about the free Oblivion content... I just downloaded it. I really need to get back into it.

Anyways, haven't really posted much on CAG, more of a lurker, so I figured I'd start contributing :p. When Halo 3 was released, I wanted to beat the copies of Halo 1 and 2 before I played it. Well, beat Halo 1 yesterday, although only on normal so I could fly through the story. It was alright, best console FPS of the GC/PS2/Xbox generation I'd say, but the levels were bland and boring. A couple of places had their bright spots... but overall not too exciting.

Also started up Metal Gear Solid for the first time, and when I find time I'm putting a little into it. So far, I'm
just past the part where the president of the company dies, presumably by a heart attack (but it is obvious that it wasn't really a heart attack).
So I'm still fairly near the beginning, only a couple of hours in. It's pretty fun, but I'm hoping the two PS2 sequels will be a little nicer on the eyes.

Other than that, it's just a little of this, a little of that here and there. With everything going on, it is hard to find time to game.

I'm not a fan of sim racing games one bit, but after playing the demo for PGR4, I really loved the aesthetics and sound as well as the attitude. I can't bring myself to play a racer with real world cars/sim-ish but PGR4 is probably the closest I'll ever get. Oh, and hitting B while on the bike never gets old from what I've played.

Yeah, MGS 2 and 3 still look fantastic. MGS1 isn't too easy on the eyes anymore, but the gameplay beats the hell out of that shitty GC remake...
E4 is great.
Too many passed it up on PSP. :whistle2:(

I'm looking to finally take a break from gaming today and just not play a game (I'm kind of busy). Think I can resists? ;)

from now on, everyone most post what they are currently playing in the following format:

"Thief! I cut off your hands!"

"No, monsieur! I need them to play [Bleach DS]!"

The non-compliant will not receive cake at the end of the thread.

"Thief! I cut off your hands!"

"No, monsieur! I need them to play Wind Waker!"

I finished my review for the game... I'll post it sometime. Yeh, it's a 5 year old game that everyone prolly has already but... fuck it.

"Thief! I cut off your hands!"

"No, monsieur! I need them to play Twilight Princess!"

I just got out of the dungeon with the boomerang.
This game looks like it has LOADS of potential.

Definitely my favorite 3D Zelda game. When you get into the legit dungeons, the game's just fucking incredible.

How does original game + the gameplay improvements from MGS2 = a shitty remake? I didn't like it because I couldn't get used to the controls, I just didn't know what else there was to complain about.

oh boy...so I sold someone on amazon my copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. this is the message I get in response to a shipping notification:
O>K> I,ve got the game I loaded the game. Now I get an error message In Ucranian or Russian, whereas, I casnnot play the game. Because the AI was too sophisticated for MGS 1's simplistic layouts. If you're caught by the enemy, you should really just let them kill you because you often can't hide. And first person aiming ruined boss fights. They just shoehorned gameplay elements into a game that couldn't handle them.

"Thief! I cut off your hands!"

"No, monsieur! I need them to play phoenix wright."

srsly. the new game comes out on tuesday, plus I get my phoenix wright plushie. ultimate win.

/ignore?

Does anyone else think Nintendo should follow a pattern of realistic zelda, then cartoonish-WW style zelda games?

eh, you never can tell with these types-- could be someone who just doesn't know English that well, or a dumbass with no common sense who will try and get a refund and report me to amazon, all because they somehow installed the game in Russian.

I just wrote back and politely explained that I have no idea what's going on with their install.

You can't translate a little Russian for him?

Hope I never encounter anyone as unhelpful as you on amazon

If you're found, you might as well just die and start over.

Also, I felt the GC remake was pretty good. The only thing that 1st person really ruined was the right with Ocelot (went from pretty tough to incredibly easy).

PGR4 is about the perfect game to play for short bits, under an hour. I'm really enjoying it, but not used to how the bikes handle. Great game, and I actually enjoy the career mode's "no retry" thing. It puts the pressure on and feels more realistic. Arcade mode still lets you retry, so no worries.

Plus, Geometry Wars Waves. Awesome.

I love it when my friend from out-of-town stops by as the wife allows us to have a nerdfest of gaming and junk food. This weekend was mostly Halo 3 and Crackdown with some Bioshock and Marvel Ultimate Alliance Heroes and Villians spread in for filler. Crackdown in particular was just a blast to pick up again as I had forgotten how much fun it is to just shoot out tires and gas tanks and watch the ensuing mayhem. I just wish there was some local co-op multiplayer to that game.

Been playing Titan Quest for the past few hours. I love how Diablo clone hack n' slash games suck you in, even though the gameplay is really pretty minimal. point, slash.

now to watch some death note before starting a fucking hectic week at school :(

fixing to listen to the cagcast and chill or do some studying while I wait for clothes to get done awashin.

played some bioshock today, the last time the game says I played was sept. 6th, so I thought i'd pop it in a get further.

Have you played the HellGate London demo? I've only played the shooter class but I liked it so much I think I'll play through again as the blade master. I've never played a diablo style game but I thought it was really fun.

I've been playing the Challenge and Advanced levels of Portal. I just started a new game of it and I haven't even finished my dev commentary run through of Ep2.

I also just purchased Prey on Steam. I'm an FPS whore and I thought the demo was pretty good, so I'll be playing through that this week.

I played the Hellgate London demo on Friday as the sword guy and was bored to tears. Probably should've tried the shooter before uninstalling, but oh well.

yeah, I couldn't get into it. I didn't try the shooter class before uninstalling, but what I played of the other class wasn't enough to pull me in.
Isn't it accepted that games come out wednesday now?
I've never had one come out on wednesday.
I've never had one come out on wednesday.
Other than streetdated games that arrive at the store early, pretty much every game ships on Tuesday, is in stores on Wednesday.

Thief! I cut off your hands!"

"No, monsieur! I need them to play The Orange Box PC, Persona 3, Folklore, and Halo 3!"

I picked up two copies of Folklore, one for me and one for a friend, and Halo 3 at the Toys R US B2G1F sale. So we system linked Halo 3 and rolled through that 3 player in one sitting. I've played about 6 hours of Half Life 2, and I haven't opened Folklore yet, but I will later today and give it a go. Also played Portal for a while over the weekend, but at 5 am, I couldn't think anymore and quit. Persona 3 gets loving when I have hours without anyone bothering me.
I've never had one come out on wednesday.
No.
Other than streetdated games that arrive at the store early, pretty much every game ships on Tuesday, is in stores on Wednesday.
Also Nintendo ships their games on Mondays, and they arrive in stores on Tuesdays.

Yeesh, I spent two hours last night doing mindless mayhem in Crackdown. Shooting out tires and gas is just endlessly amusing. As is throwing cars with their drivers inside into the ocean. Man I hope they make a sequel as it would be interesting to see how many cars will persistenly stay in the ocean after I throw 'em in. :p
I've never had one come out on wednesday.
First party Nintendo and streed-dated-shipped-early (as botticus mentioned) games are the only games that hit shelves before Wednesday. Everything else you're looking at shipping on Tuesday, in store Wednesday or Thursday.

I'm trying to fly through the rest of Phoenix Wright 2 before the third one drops this week. I got nearly through the 4th case when my gf at the time wanted to borrow and play it so it erased my save data. Haven't cared to go back through the entire chapter until now.

I love PGR4. Totally addicted. The environment effects and weather are so well done. Even getting good with the bikes.

I posted about 30 games on ebay today (including Persona 3), realizing that even after 3 weeks of being at home after surgery I didn't even touch them, it was time for them to go. It'll be nice to have the extra cash for new releases this holiday.

And 9 out of 10 times, games arrive on Wednesdays. I got phantom hourglass on wednesday even. Maybe it's different if you're closer to the west coast for nintendo releases.

Anybody else interested in Dementium: The Ward on DS this week? Looks sorta like condemned.

jer, on PGR4 how long does it take from the moment you fail an event and hit retry before you're up and playing again? That 30sec-1min load on PGR3 made it unplayable to me. :p

I am playing with my new toy:

1696491351_b7ce0260cb.jpg

the graphix on it suck man... the shyt's all numbers... I cant even draw me a pa-pa-pa-parasol

I think the load time on PGR4 is slightly improved over PGR3...not exactly sure since I haven't played 3 in a looong time. Either way, it doesn't bother me much.

I'm getting more excited about Eye of Judgement. I'm far from a TCG fan, but this one looks very cool. If all goes well, FV will ship it out to me on time so I can receive it sometime next week. Can't wait to give it a try.

Almost wish my kids were a little older so I could play with them, but I guess that time will come sooner than I really want anyway.

Yeah, it's faster, but i'm not exactly sure by how much. Probably takes 5-10 seconds to restart a race. And Daroga, I should have that package to you soon. I'm able to drive my bum around now, just need to get some bubble mailers tomorrow.
