Like the Chamber PPV, this was a great show overall with a strong card. Orton-Punk was Orton's best match in a long time, and I liked that they did five counts off of single shots from weapons - really put over the danger behind them. Middle-rope RKO was a good finish, and Punk's facial expressions were hilarious throughout. Sheamus-Kofi was a good impromptu ladder match. The top rope boom drop finish looked fairly impressive, and while Raw did need a secondary belt, I'm going to miss Sheamus - THE PROUD CHAMPION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! Truth's promo was really good, aside from forgetting how to spell conspiracy. I love this new intense character - it's like his TNA heel one, only with less race-baiting. The country whipping match...okay, this was not altogether good. It was fine for what it was and better than Lawler-Cole, but not good or actually very satisfying. Lawler got more licks in on Raw, and J.R busted his

ing hand up on Cole's skull on free TV...and it just led to a schoolboy finish. And Cole and Swagger doing the plane deal up the ramp. Hopefully they actually turn Swagger face with this angle in time because they had something with that, and him as a comedy act isn't going to help him out on Raw.
Rey-Cody was fantastic. They got a lot out of impressive-looking dives off of small things, like the Beautiful Disaster off the concession stand, the alley oop jump into a cross body off another one, and this stuff got over huge with the folks there. The pre-match video package was also tremendous. Layla-McCool was a fine match and led to the debut of KHARMA and she brought her A game here. She looked scary, cackled, Michelle looked scared shitless, and they delivered the goods with this debut. Fantastic scary theme for her, not quite as good as her TNA theme, but still pretty good, and she'll now be using the implant buster I guess since the powerbomb might be too close to Batista's. Still, they got her over as a terrifying figure in one night and I can't wait to see how they use her on Raw.
Christian-Alberto was crazy. Christian's ribs were badly bruised not even ten minutes into it, and Alberto's elbow drop on the ladder was insane - he landed with one hip on the ladder and then landed on the floor with his other one. Dude's gonna be hurting bad this week. Christian doing the spear was neat, and doesn't bug me since he's doing it as a tribute to his friend - it was the same deal in TNA, only now with a bit more honor since Edge is retired. I thought for sure WWE would never give Christian the title, but they did - and really, given the story of him doing this for his best friend to finish the job that he couldn't due to his retirement, him winning was the only finish that made sense. Booker put the world title win over huge, too. And damn did Brodus ever earn himself some brownie points by smashing his face up and still going on. I hope they keep him on Raw with Alberto because Alberto being in the middle of a tiny guy and a huge guy works.
Tag title match was a match. Might've been nice if they bothered to setup Zeke and Wade as a set tag team, and Zeke should've dropped the fall here. He's terrible, has no long-term future beyond a bodyguard-type role, and Barrett could be a main event-level guy again. But not if they book him to lose nothing tag title matches. Triple threat cage match was really good, so it turns out, they CAN be done well - just not in TNA. The double suplex off the top of the cage was risky, but looked good, and thankfully didn't wind up as a double brainbuster like I thought it would when Miz started falling. It amazed me how effective Cole was at putting over Morrison as having an edge here due to his parkour stuff when he's usually such a detriment to the product by burying every single solitary thing about it. Morrison's flip dive off the cage looked impressive, and they've clearly got something with the guy in this main event-level role, they just need to prevent him from speaking, because then it just exposes him. I liked that the show began with a second-rope finisher and then concluded with a top rope one, and while I'm sad that Miz's reign ended, at least it did so in dramatic fashion. Although I do hope there's more to him winning than just setting up a tease on Raw with Cena holding the gold in front of Rock and that they plan to actually elevate Truth into a WWE Title program after his deal with Morrison is done, ore they can do a 4-way feud.
