Today is CAG's 7th Birthday

Thanks Cheapy for all the work you've put into making the CAG community flourish. I've made a ton of friends, saved a bunch of money and built an incredible backlog thanks to your site. I've even started a small business over the last two years through helping other CAGs in Canada and elsewhere. Best of luck to you and your family and many more successful years. I can't wait to see the iPhone App =)

Congrats Cheapy! and Happy Birthday to Cheap Ass Gamer!

Over the years I've been here, this site has been both a blessing and a curse to my poor wallet. Thanks again, and let's keep it going for many more years to come. :applause:

Thanks Cheapy for putting this together! Also Thanks to Wombat, Shipwreck, & Super Programmer John for all the work you guys do. Special thanks to your spouses too for allowing you to do all that you do.

I've been coming to this site for about 3 years, wish I was here when it started up. Great community and commitment to getting the best price legally. Hoping CAG is around for much much longer!

Happy Birthday CAG! As a member for nearly three years, I can truly agree that this is an awesome community. If I want to know about a game, I always come here first. CAG for the win!

Happy Day of Birth CAG,

Despite the name of the site; I've spent a ton of money on games, but the quantity is far greater than it would have been otherwise.

So long and thanks for all the cheap games,

Happy birthday CAG and congrats Cheapy on such a great run. Here's hoping for many more savings for us and little $$$ for you Cheapy.

Happy Birthday CAG!

You forgot Jay Leno and Saddam Hussien.

Heh, well I've been here for 6 of those 7 years, and I'm gonna be honest, years 2 & 3 were probably the best, when people were really getting in on the deals no one knew about. I'm sure year 1 was great too. Oh well... I guess Cheapy has made more money this way.

Somehow a site dedicated to saving money has probably cost me more in the long run (it's too cheap to pass up!) -- but who cares!

Happy Birthday CAG!

What a great 7 years it's been! I started using this site back in college to stay on top of the Circuit City monthly clearance deals! My, how times have changed!!!!

Been browsing for around 7 years now and have had an account since 2004. Great site to Cheapy, Wombat, SupercoderJohn and to the wives and girlfriends who let you do this. There have been so many sales where I have gotten games that I totally would have never played only because I was midly interested in them, yet not willing to pay the $50 price tag. But then when I saw your site and saw that I could go to circuit city and spend 100$ on 20 games, with at least of 15 being ones that I was interested in and could now play due to being so cheap!
if you've never checked it out, archive.org (and their Wayback Machine) is one of he coolest sites on the web:

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://cheapassgamer.com

Here's the first post:
Haha thats great, had no idea that site existed. Funny too that bensbargains was the inspiration i've been going their for a while looking for xbox game deals. It wasn't until my 360 RROD'ed on me that I happened upon a video featuring a gentle looking bald man and his towel. Thats what eventually led me to this site.
Why didn't anyone tell me about this website 7 years ago? Probably because I was 13 and there was no such thing as $150 Legendary editions of games. If I may make a suggestion Cheapy, If you have it, you should post some screenshots of what the website looked like 7 years ago. I'm curious to see what the old gal used to look like in her early years.

At any rate happy birthday CAG, glad I found this site before I graduate college (knock on wood) and have to work to support my gaming addiction.
I don't know if anyone answered you yet...but here is CAGs' old design:

http://web.archive.org/web/20030608090833/www.cheapassgamer.com/mt/

EDIT: Nice. I didn't read the last page first. I'm just going to leave this up for humorous purposes...

Yeah, thanks CAG, for saving me so much money and emptying my wallet at the same time.

And no CAGCast on the 7th anniversary? F-U Cheapy, you lazy ass basterd!

Here's hoping you get some anniversary sex !

I recall learning about this site while on gamefaqs during the 03-04 school year. At the time CAG's layout was crap so I didn't even bother browsing. A little over a year later, I once again visited CAG thanks to a gamefaqs topic with a list of cheap games. The list on gamefaqs was easier to browse through so I didn't spend much time on CAG. Within a year after that I join. I wasn't really active for the first few months for some reason, but here I am now. CAG happens to be the site I spend the most time browsing.
Here's hoping that CheapyD doesn't sell out before CAG hits 10 years!

Nice. Happy anniversary. Been saving $ lurking and coincidentally just joined today too! Now I get a reminder on when I joined every year hah.

This site has helped me find super deals on many occasions. Couldn't have done it without you CAG. HAPPY FREAKIN BIRTHDAY!!
