Cryme Tyme reminds me of this; one of my favorite movies of all time (even though it's still tough to watch):

A word of caution: very offensive satirical content.

Randy Orton Vs Sgt Slaughter

Who's calling it ???????
I was always under the impression that heels did the calling. If I'm wrong, then it's still Orton; Slaughter may be a classic, but he's surely rusty and not as capable with 3-minute TV matches as Orton. Perhaps they're just going to improvise for 3 minutes? That's not a lot of time to call a match, in the traditional sense. They may just fuck around back and forth for 3 minutes until the ref tells them to go to the finish.

who cares.. what would slaughter say?? I'm throwing you against the ropes and then I'm going to punch you... then I'll punch you more...

Tonight's Raw is a shining example as to why the brand split is retarded.

As much as I like Sarge and the King, they shouldn't BOTH have matches on Raw. Plus there was a jobber match instead of doing anything with Londrick, the tag champs or TWGTT. Hell they could've at least put Sandman and Duggan (course that'd be a night of Sarge, Duggan and King) out there or The Highlanders. Nope, we want jobbers on Raw! That will improve ratings!

I don't mind jobbers - they're reintroducing Amos n' Andy to the fans, so better jobbers than WGTT or Sandman/someone. Your larger point, though (between King, Slaughter, jobber team, and Daivari), they're REALLY laying it on thick tonight in the jobber domain. Cena taking on Carlito, who I don't believe has won a match since 1947, isn't a marked improvement over JobberMania.

I like the comparison b/w Slaughter and Cowher, seeing as how they're both incapable buffoons who lucked into their status among the elite of their profession.

Forgive the bitter, bitter musings of a Bengals fan. ;)

they have too much talent and not enough building of the talent..I think the last talent the built into a super star was HHH..Cena was just at the right place at the right time...

Anyone think there's a slim chance Carlito could win this with an Orton interference ?

Naaaaa, it's not happening is it?
Well at least Vince has gotten over his Lashley-losing-a-match-aphobia.

One step at a time I suppose.

While it was nice to see a decent match between Lashley and Kennedy, outside that tonight has been pathetic. A jobber literally in every match! What's up with that? Where's the Hamburglar when you need him...

I like how Jeff Hardy was left off the card tonight too, despite the reactions he's been getting lately. I'm also pretty sure he was supposed to be working a match with Umaga at Summerslam. Typical WWE writing staff.

If Carlito doesn't win this match, I'm calling it the worst Raw of '07. Should've known better though, when WWE.com spent all week hyping Jerry Lawler vs "King" Booker.

Cripes with the way that one ended you'd almost think Booker vs Lawler was on the books for SS, making me wonder if the H's isn't going to be ready to come back til the Sept ppv.

Ya, I think I suggested something like that a few posts back. But, I'm a dreamer. I'd sooner expect Orton to interfere, and Cena to FU Orton and then beat Carlito anyway.

The only positive thing is that Randy Orton came off looking like he is ready to move up to the main event. His promo was great and he has oozed cool, cocky heel all night. I think someone set him down and showed him some Scott Hall shit, because his calm demeanor during the promo was totally different than what is the norm.

 good screw Cena. WWE's entire writing staff should be fired after tonight.

Let's do this... let's build up this asshole as God, make him beat Khali and Umaga at the same time, make him beat the unstoppable Lashley, make him beat EVERYONE on the roster over the past 3 years. Then, Orton reaches in and slaps at him, and Carlito... Carlito scores the pinfall? How many other finishers has Cena kicked out of? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Someone is rolling over in their grave, not sure who at the moment, but someone is after tonight's display.

What a bizzare.......must see el cantante...........Raw that was, a load of crap with Lashley and Cena losing........must see el cantante.

As someone already said, lot of ads on Raw tonight, they never effect me though.

as someone has probobably already made note of, did it not seem like alot of segments ran way too long? why was cryme tyme even on tv, ya know wouldnt it have made a bit more sense to at least have the tag champs run through a couple jobbers then cutting a meaningless promo about sheep or something. then there was the lawler/booker match which was downright painful, apparently i blinked at the wrong second and have no clue what booker did to get disqualified. but whatever, raw was good last week so it makes sense for them to completly crap out this week.

I loved Raw tonight - the "Pwn3d" sign showing up while Umaga pinned Santino, Kennedy pinning Lashley after a simple knee to the shoulder damaged in the match, and Carlito pinning Cena with a back stabber that Carlito screwed up the setup for made me happy. Candice blowing that double rolling leg avalanche move made me happy and sad, while Cena's burial of past and present opponents made me sad and forced me to shake my head in disgust. There are just about zero likable qualities in Cena's character right now, as he's just a complete asshole to everyone, and it doesn't seem to be leading to a heel turn.

I dunno, Cryme Time's demolition of Nubby and Scrubby (or whatever the jobbers were named) was kinda cool, until they took way too long with the selling of the boots. Should not have lasted as long as it did. 1 minute, tops.

When you put it this way.. Carlito must have sent them all to wear Cena down! Just like with his associate Jesus!
i've never seen so many ads for 1 movie in a span of an hour...
seriously, the commercial was getting on my nerves so bad.

DUN DUN DUN

According to Dave Scherer, Jeff Hardy didn't show up at RAW last night. There is concern in the company that he won't be back for SummerSlam and that he might not be back at all. His program with Umaga was scrapped and Umaga was turned babyface on RAW.

Stay tuned as we will have updates very shortly regarding this breaking news story.

Hopefully he didn't go on a meth spree.
Umaga was turned face last night?
Well this time Santino Marella was moaning in the ring about cheating before Umaga squashed him for the 1000th time, I guess they're calling it a face turn.
Apparently Lashley tore his rotator cuff...thats no good
Wasn't his shoulder already injured a couple months ago?

As for last night, pretty predictable except one thing. I thought Snitsky would be squashing Cody Rhodes.

WWE shitting bricks
It would be an understatement to say that WWE is concerned about last night’s RAW rating. With the recently slump that the show has been doing for the past three weeks (scoring consecutive 3.4 cable ratings) there has been a significant amount of pressure on both WWE and the USA Network to bring the numbers up. The concern has grown to serious proportions and is a top priority issue starting at the top of WWE.

To put it in perspective, last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown did a 2.6 broadcast rating, with a 5.1 share on the CW Network. That number was good enough to put the show very close to the number of total viewers that last week’s edition of RAW did. That figure alone scares WWE as RAW is considered to be the top brand which of course airs live. AM RAW on July 21st did a 0.5 cable rating, with a 2.3 share.

I really hope Jeff Hardy's not done with WWE. He's awesome.

Plus, I want to kick ass with him in Smackdown vs. Raw 08. And there's just enough time to remove him. There's already rumors flying that they'll delay it so they can remove Chris Benoit.
WWE shitting bricks
I disagree; when shitting bricks, the WWE puts on controversial angles (Mr. McMahon, HLA, Billy and Chuck, Kevin Federline). WWE panic, typically, leads to WrestleCrap. Last night's JobberMania (which included, before I forget, Santino Marella, the Italian Barry Horowitz) shows that, if you thought they were in panic mode, they really did nothing to garner interest in the program.

One of my favorite Rumble moments.. 04, Undertaker's bell sounds a few months after Kane "buried" him and his American Bad Ass gimmick. I remember flipping out, thinking he was coming back. He didn't.. not until Wrestlemania, of course, but still. It was awesome. I was actually at Hooters that night watching it with friends. Everyone started cheering. It was great.

Well for those who were wondering who the "former world champion" TNA had at the Impact taping. It was
Matt Morgan serving as Jim Cornette's bodyguard
.

what world title did he win..
wtf

so, is the word going around that hardy just skipped the show last night or he just wasnt used? its rather mind boggling if thats the case because they have been doing nothing in the way of trying to keep him off tv with the exception of last night.

sorry, ill pay closer attention to detail next time
IIRC, he was the OVW Heavyweight Champion. It's considered OVW's world title.
o lord.. i hate when they do that...

former world champ to me means.. wwf, wcw, ecw(somewhat)

The OVW title isn't a world championship. Odds are,
Test
is the former world champion they're talking about, as he's a former world tag champ, and is being used as a main eventer in TNA.

After watching Jeff's match with 'Taker, I hope he isn't out of WWE due to drugs again - he looked no bigger than Spike Dudley in that match, and was scarily thin compared to how he looked in any other match on that set, or now (as in last week).
