http://www6.toysrus.com/our/tru/pro...mail/Save20.cfm - 20% off coupon. It says that it can't be used on video game hardware, but it doesn't say that it excludes video game software.

Valid May 11-21

http://www6.toysrus.com/our/tru/prom/2005WelcomeEmail/Save10.cfm - 10 off a $50 purchase. Again excludes use on video game hardware but no where mentions software.

Valid May 11-21
Scans of the coupons

http://24.188.105.178:770/coupon/10.htm - Scan of the $10 off $50 purchase coupon for those that can't get the other links to work.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/sostrooper/stuff/tru20coupon.jpg - Link for the 20% off coupon.

Also, remember that if you can't get the links to work to bring up the coupon then all you have to do is go and delete all of your cookies and history and it should work.

Thanks to Roufuss and SOSTrooper for prividing the links.

You should be able to stack these coupons. Make sure they scan the 20% off coupon first though...the $10 off a $50 purchase should still work afterwards...it did when I used something similiar to this when I got DDS.

This stacks with my discount too, fun fun fun. Any $50 game for $25.99 = awesome.

I was just wondering this, but was the average TRU employees discount? And, I thought you had quit/were fired from TRU.

They got like 5 copies of that Shin Megami Nocturne game in a local TRU, should I use it those to get one? It was also the first time I had seen ROTK 9 instore new but it was also $50, a bit too much for me. I also want KOF.... damn this is hard.

Considering Nocturne goes for around 65-75 dollars new on Ebay... getting it for less than 50 is a steal.

There's one auction that went for $100+ for a brand new copy.

I still have my sealed but I plan on playing it. Strangely, there's some crap within the plastic crap and the case window looks scuffed. Oh well, I just hope it works...

But yeah, you better grab this before it becomes the next Suikoden II (and it's half-way there).

I don't really care about the value on Ebay. I care if it's a good game or not and if it's worth my $50.

It is man, I played a little bit of it and it's fun... but the random battles are somewhat frequent. I'm just saying, if you don't get it now for $50, you might miss out on one hell of a game.

Thank you and F you at the same time. F you because I now have to shell out more cash but thanks for your opinion.

Are you sure about that? It seems like the $10 off $50 coupon probably wouldn't work once the total is brought down to $40 with the 20% off coupon.

I'm definitely gonna have to check this out. Can anybody confirm for sure if the two coupons can be stacked? I don't want to go in and look like an idiot.

Not that anyone should make an idiot of himself maybe a TRU employee can verify for sure.

So, would controllers and items like a Gameboy Player be considered video game hardware? Been wanting to pick up another Wavebird and a Gameboy Player for a while now. These coupons would be great if those items apply.

Nope, those work with the coupon. Only systems are counted as hardware. It even works on the FFXI harddrive.

Also, the coupons are stackable. It brings $50 down to $40 and then it takes another $8 off bringing it to $32. I haven't tried doing it the other way which if it works would bring it to $30(take 20% off then $10 off).

People letting you stack the coupons is probably a mistake. Both coupons mention that they are "Not valid with any other “R”US offer for same item."

I'll still give it a try tomorrow.

If anyone can use both of these coupons + their employee discount to get KOF2k3 cheap (I haven't done the exact math but I think it'll be around $20?) I'll pay $25 for it.

Hopefully this is true and will work for me when I go this weekend (probably either tomorrow or Friday). To get a brand new game for $32. Woot! Hoo-rah! I already have SMT: Nocturne, Stella Deus, SMT: Digital Devil Saga, and others that have been mentioned but I"m sure I'll think of a good one. What's the release day of Atelier Iris? I don't think it comes out during the time period of coupon, but it couldn't hurt asking.

Maybe my TRU still has Disgaea. Ooh the only of the Nippon Ichi Three that I'm missing and for a great price. Oh please gaming G-ds please let there be one Disgaea. Oh shit, I just remembered that it was greent tagged, right? Maybe one slipped through at my TRU but now I doubt it.

Thanks for some of the ideas and recommendations through out this thread guys. I'm not sure if my TRU has KOF0203, but it just might be the time to get one.

SMT: N is a great RPG. I loved it when I bought it, but be sure to pick up the guide book since this is actually one of those games where the guide book can be a life saver, especially with the pics. And the book is done extremely well by DoubleJump. This will also probably one of the few times that you will be able to get SMT: N at a discounted price (or for an even better price if the coupons can/will be stacked) since it has been skyrocketing recently since demand is high but there isn't a high supply.

About ROTK 9, I'm sure that stores will have it cheaper since I can find ROTK 8 for 19.99 at a lot of places.

hey what's a good game to get with this thing that will get me good credit at GR? because I need to start stocking up on games for the trade 3 get used for $5 sale
I was just wondering this, but was the average TRU employees discount? And, I thought you had quit/were fired from TRU.
Yeah, I quit. But I got my job back once the boss lost three other reliable employees. It was good leverage for me.

Anyways, if I can find my reciept...I'll scan it.

Tubtub probably can back it up.

I got Digital Devil Saga: Shin Megami Tensei using similiar coupons.

DDS...$54.99 - 10% emp discount ($5.50) - 20% one item ($9.90) - $10 off a $50 purchase = $29.59 +tax

The previous 20% off coupon was a Los Angeles Time coupon and the $10 off a $50 purchase was from the best customer mailer that went out for spring.

Update: I found one of my reciepts. It was the one where I didn't know that I could stack the coupons in that order. So the one I found came out this way:
$54.99 - 10% (5.50) - $10 off a $50 purchase - 20% (7.90) = $31.59 +tax

Still not bad. I have to find my other reciept though.

damn I wish I knew the coupons stacked, I recomend picking up Pokemon Pinball for the GBA. TRU has it for only 15 bucks. Add 20% off and that's a pretty good deal.

Just got back, had a huge internal debate with myself whether to get GOW or Predator: Concrete Jungle, I decided on Predator because previous console Predator/Alien games tend to take incredibly long for prices to drop (such as alien vs predator extinction) while GOW may have a price drop by the end of the summer. So I used the 20% off coupon and got the game for 35 (fair enough, I wanted it regardless). What bothered me is that I wanted to purchase bloodrayne 2 as well and use both coupons but Ill be dammed bloodrayne 2 is 40 bucks at TRU, what the hell I just saw it at ebgames for 16.99, grrr, regardless Ill get bloodrayne 2 at a later date, maybe Ill use that ten dollar coupon on something else.

Did you try to use the 10 off $50 coupon first and then the 20% coupon. Zon27 and tubtub have reported that you should be able to use both of them since they are stackable an dmake a game come out for something like $30. $5 cheaper is quite a bit for me so that'd make a whole lot of difference for me. And great suggestion on the use of the coupons for GOW. I think that's what I'll get since I really, really want that one.
Stacked the coupons and got SMT: Nocturne for $31.99. Nice! Thanks, op.
Argh. You stacked them in the wrong order. Trust me you can stack them in the other order. 20% off first then $10 off. I know it's only a $2 difference...but this is CAG.

Yeah, I didn't try that. I thought that if you knock 20% off the game first, you end up with a purchase that isn't over $50 to enable the use of the other coupon. Oh well. I'll go back tomorrow and try to stack them the other way for a different game. :)
Just for the record, $10 off of $50 is the same as 20%.
But when you combine them, it's 40%. :)

Also, you can use the 20% off one on anything (with the few exclusions), including under-$50 stuff. So, both coupons rock. :)
Just for the record, $10 off of $50 is the same as 20%.
Wow, I hadn't known that:roll::roll: I'm not that good at math as you are;). If you can only get the $10 off $50 coupon to work, that's still 20% off, so just think of this sale as the equivalent of a DDDVD 20% off deal. Not to mention that with this coupon you can get a recently released game cheaper than if you had done it at BB with the GGC. Also, reports have come in saying that they are stackable making it an even greater deal.

Don't forget that you can use the 20% off coupon for any priced game as it doesn't have a minimum price on it.

And man, just because a deal isn't good enough for you doesn't mean it isn't good for others.

I just got back from TRU and picked up Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga. I stacked both coupons and told the lady to use the 20% off one first. It worked and I got SMT: DDS for $33.99 +Tax. Total discount was $21. You can stack them in the order you want to maximize cheapness. Thanks OP. :)

I can scan the receipt later if no one believes me.

Ok, I know this is a longshot, but since one can stack these coupons, I am curious... Has anyone tried using multiples? I mean, say, 2 20% off coupons and 2 $10 off coupons? One would probably have to be on pretty good terms with the sales person to even get them to try it, though.

You can't stack same coupons. The lady was ready to say no to me when I handed her the two coupons thinking they were the same one.

So what did you tell her that made her scan both? That they were allowed to be used inconjuction to each other?

After she had noticed they were two seperate coupons I asked her if they could be stacked. She said yes and I told her to scan the 20% off one first. Then I paid and got my discounted game. :)

He was referring the post that guessed made, not in trying to get the 2 different coupons to work.

You can't use 2 20% off coupons because the coupon # is the same and the system won't allow it. The reason you can use both a 20% off and a $10 off is that they have different numbers.

No, I know I was just wondering how he handled himself so I can model myself after that when I go to get some games. I was wondering if the cashier had been hassling him for both coupons but I guess she didn't. I was worried that I would be hassled at my TRU and I hate the 90 year old no teeth grandma that work there.

Gotcha.

I did get hassled on one thing though. I had cut my coupons out. She said next time bring the whole printed sheet. Hope that helps.

Here is a scan of the receipt:

Checked mine out and found the last copy of SMT: Digital Devil Saga. I already have one (still haven't opened it), but figured having another wouldn't hurt.

Both coupons worked, but the $10 went first followed by the 20%. So I save $19.

I also went to look for penny guides and found picked out four initially. The cashier, who I think is the R Zone manager, didn't mind. So I went back to buy some more.

Interestingly, she was happy I started buying penny guides and encouraged me to buy more all the penny gudes. So I started grabbing a few more and asked if she had any in the back, to which she said no - but she'll put any future penny guides a bag for me to pick up at my convenience. Double

And this is the same Toys R' Us that I cleaned out all their Final Fantasy XII for $37 back when they were on sale at Circuit City (they even asked if I was that guy during check out) - I figured they would think I was a "devil customer" but I guess not.

I didn't hear anyone else verify this yet... but can we use the coupons multiple times?

The disclaimer at the bottom says "Only one coupon per customer may be printed and redeemed during the valid coupon dates."

Obviously us CAGs have figured out how to print out more then one copy of the coupons so... Hypothetically, could I go to the same TRU on different days or even visit multiple TRUs on the same day and use the coupons - is there any type of mechanism that will prevent us from doing so?

I'm thinking Wario Ware and Zelda Minish Cap, amongst others.

I just got back from a second trip and the coupons worked for a second time. Granted, I had a different cashier.

I stacked the coupons the right way this time--saving me $21 on SMT: DDS.

So I ended up getting SMT: Nocturne and SMT: DDS for $65.98. Good stuff.
I'm going tonight for Nocturne and King of Fighters. Is Digital Devil Saga a sequel to Nocturne?
It's more of an off-shoot of the series. Think of it more as a spin-off.
