Oh I see.

You're right. Thanks. I haven't checked/cleaned it up in a long long time.

This rocks. Picked up Shin Megami Tense LE, Baldurs Gate for the PS2, and wrapping paper for $43 at TRU. Plus I have a $5 rebate for SMT from Pricegrabber.

Sweet.

So it's generally accepted that all TRUs will stack the 20% and $10 off coupons? So if I were to go in with the two coupons and, say, get Digital Devil Saga ($54.99) and Puyo Pop Fever DS ($29.99?) it would be:

($54.99 + $29.99) * .8 = $67.98 - $10 = $57.98?

I believe that's how it would be done.

Wouldn't you get greater savings if you bought DDS ($55) by itself with both coupons... and then in a seperate transaction bought PPF DS ($30) and another $20 game using both coupons?

I think this would maximize your savings since the $10 off coupon is for any purchase over $50... Or is it better just to make a large purchase lke mdm proposed... Correct me if I'm wrong.

Its best for him to buy SMT: DDS by itself for $33.99 first. Make sure to use the 20% coupon first. Then go back and buy Puyo Pop Fever with the 20% coupon by itself or add another game in to get up to $50 and use both coupons. Its cheaper to do SMT: DSS seperately no matter what though. 20% coupon can only be used on one item.

Here's how my receipt worked out.

SMT 32.33
20% off any one item 49.99-10
$10 off >$50 39.99-7.66
PS2 Baldurs Gate 6.86
$10 off >$50 8.48-1.62
Wrapping Balloons $3.07
$10 off >$50 3.79-0.72

It automatically takes 20% off your highest priced purchase! Then the $10 off coupon comes into account.

The way I see it you have three options...

1) Get DD alone and add filler.

$55-20% = 44 + 6 Filler -$10 coupon = $40 plus some free $6 item.

Then buy PP separately with just the 20% off = $24

Total: $64.

2) You could just buy both. Then it would be....

$55-20% = $44 + $30 - $10 = $64

That eliminates any complexity.

3) Or you can go Bang for your buck.

DD Alone + $6 filler...

$55-20% = 44 + 6 Filler -$10 coupon = $40 plus some free $6 item.

PP + another game worth $30

$30 -20% = $24 + $30 - $10 = $44

Total : $84 with Three Games and some $6 filler.

That's why you do it seperately. Buy SMT: DDS with both coupons and then go back and buy puyo with 20% off coupon. Your total should come out to $33.99 (SMT: DDS) + $23.99 (puyo) = Grand total of $57.98.

Yeah, you don't have to reraise it. :)

Damn guys, now I'm confused.

Maybe someone could help me. I want to get SMT: N $50, and KOF 2002-2003 $30.

If I could get this for cheap I'd also add it into the mix: ROTK 9 $50

Someone help me out on this one.

If he has the extra cash, it wouldn't hurt to buy a $20 item along with puyo and use the $10 off as well, thereby effectively getting the $20 item for $10 in the process.

VGM: You'd probably be best served getting Nocturne and KOF in the same fashion I'll get PPF and DDS.

$10 and 20% for Nocturne.

Separate 20% for KoF.

I don't know the price of Nocturne, but if its $49.99 I suggest getting something that's worth a dollar or less for filler to get it to $50 mark. If you can get it to $50 then buy it seperately and use both coupons. You'll end up getting it for around $30. As for KOF 2002-2003 use the 20% coupon by itself and the price will be around $24. Your total would be around $54 +tax.

This deal is really only good for items $50 and up. That's where you maximize savings. As you can see from above a $50 game for $30 and the $30 game for $24. Which do you think got the most savings? :D

That would definitely be the best route if the person has the cash to spend for the extra item. ;)

Damn I didn't know 49.99 didn't work with the $50 coupon. Now I gotta find a cheap ass game to go with it.

Remember, $50 is the magic price at which one can use both coupons. So, if one is buying a $30 game, and one has an extra $10, one might as well pick out a $20 item to get also. The 20% off will only work on one item, but the $10 should still work, making the pretax total $34 for 2 items ($30 and $20) instead of $24 for one ($30). I hope that was clear.
Geez it has to be over $50 WITHOUT tax?

Laaaaame.
I thought that it had to be over $50 before tax, so i took some Milk Duds to the counter with Nocturne. The guy said that the coupons would work without the candy (even though the game was $49.99). He was right.

I hope they have a penny guide  . It doesn't have to be a game, so if they don't have a penny guide, just get some gum or something.

To get a $49.99 game over to the $50 range doesn't require a big spending. Just add a 50 cent candy or something to the total to get it to that magic $50 pricepoint. :)

After Edit: Above post proves us wrong. :D

I just pray I don't have some angry middle aged lady as a cashier. The coolest cashiers tend to be old people or young people. Males > females, though old ladies > old men.

Whew. While I'm there I'll look to see if there is a $20 game I would like so I can get it for 1/2 price. Thanks for the help guys.

EDIT. I have 3 coupons right now, but they are cut out. Should I reprint them when I go to print the 4th?

Yeah, reprint them to avoid a hassle. Remember you have to make two trips to the register for the coupons. ;)

My dad is going to do one trip up, and I'm doing the other.
Did you try to use the 10 off $50 coupon first and then the 20% coupon. Zon27 and tubtub have reported that you should be able to use both of them since they are stackable an dmake a game come out for something like $30. $5 cheaper is quite a bit for me so that'd make a whole lot of difference for me. And great suggestion on the use of the coupons for GOW. I think that's what I'll get since I really, really want that one.
Predator Concrete Jungle is 40 MSRP.
Admiral, the guy doesn't need filler for SMT: DDS. He can get it by itself for $33.99 +tax after the two coupons with 20% off first.

Use my receipt as referance:

Your friendly cashier was Shaq?!?

Now if TRU would only get Stella Deus in, I'd be happy.

Edit: I probably should just change my handle to something like "Atlus Fiend"

Can someone scan the 10 dollars off 50 coupon? For some reason, it when ever I click "Print Coupon" it says coupon can only be printed once (despit me not printing it). 20% off coupon works fine for me. Thanks for the help.

Clear your cookies/history. That should do the trick, otherewise which browser are you using to access it?

Got back from TRU a little while ago - got myself a Gameboy Player. Here's how the discounts broke down:

Associate Discount: 49.99-5.00 (I obviously work there)
$10 off $50 and up: 44.99-10.00
20% off any 1 item: 34.99-7.00

So after all that it was 27.99 rather than 49.99. With tax (7.250%) -->2.03, it came out to 30.02. So not a bad deal. I'm not sure if ringing the coupons in a different order would have made it come out cheaper. But what the hell, I saved 22 dollars.

Ahhhhhhhh how does anyplace near any of you people still have SMT: Nocturne in stock still. All the stores near me were raped clean months ago.

Ah well I'm going shopping on Saturday or Sunday

No 2 coupons for me. TRU employees wouldn't let my dad use 2. He came and told me while I was still looking for KOF 2002-2003 (Which they didn't have anymore). :bomb:
You can use a 49.99 game just fine. I got Forza tonight for 29.99 bucks before tax.
That's exactly what I'm going to try and get. Hopefully, my TRU lets me stack the coupons.

Gameboy Player for me definitely... I dunno what else. Maybe a Gamecube game. I'm thinking Star Fox Assault... but that'll be dropping to Player's Choice later this year I bet.
