True Blood Official Discussion: Season 3 starts Sun. June 13th!
Call me crazy, but I think
Eric will be the one to attempt to save everyone from the bomb (since he would be protecting Godric).
I might agree with you on that one. I'm just surprised that with all those vampires in that house, a
human was allowed to waltz in undetected, and with a bomb strapped to his chest.

Honestly, I think that's just something that has to happen because the plot says so. It just wouldn't make sense under normal circumstances.

They can't get rid of
Eric
yet. This is all happening in TX away from the home base of LA. I don't think they would get rid of him like that. Plus, we've just scratched the surface of
Eric's infatuation with Sookie
.

Also, Sookie has a GIANT pair of nuts swinging between those legs. If some crazy vampire - Lorena - started intimidating me like that I'd run like hell.

Fun episode but goddamn I'm sick and tired of Mary Anne and the black eyes. I read in EW that the
Vampire Queen is brought in at the end of the season
and I'm praying that
she destroys Mary Anne so we can be done with her

I didn't say I think he would die. I just think he is going to be the one who
tries to take out the bomber.

If that bomb kils anyone i think it will be Godric. Just because he doesn't seem to care about his own life, he'd sacrifice himself to save someone.

they need to end the maryann bit, that arc so far is pointless with her just trying to kill Sam, i dont see any other purpose unless shes going to eat the whole damn village. Jessica being a virgin was an interesting turn of events I never thought of that. What does that mean all chick vampires had to get laid before they got turned?

I hope thats not true as it will just lead to the obvious vamp vs humans war, which I don't find as interesting as the intelligence Godric's character was trying to teach other vampires.

But at the same time, the irony was so thick you could taste it. Although Jason had been following the church, thinking he was doing God's will, Godric (even his name is ironic) was the one being like Jesus and showing/teaching true compassion. It would only make sense that he sacrifice himself for the good of the group.

I also like Godric though (honestly, I think I like every character more than Bill. I can't stand his overacting). So, even if that does happen, maybe he'll come back (in 3 days perhaps?). I just wouldn't see the point of introducing his character and giving us a brief glimpse of his "teachings", just to kill him off right away. Who knows, maybe Mary Ann will show up, and will try to eat Luke, and the bomb will only kill her. Now, how great would that be? :)

Why was Maryann cooking that dinner? Where was her little monkey helper dude (doesn't he cook and clean for her)?

I hope that Sookie comes home next episode and kicks Maryann's free-loading ass out of her house.

Who knows, but like you I want her gone.

We have to assume that the
heart used in the souffle was Daphne's, and must give some type of power to whomever consumes the heart of a shape-shifter. Either that, or Maryann is able to channel her power through such people more effectively.

Also, I predict that Lorena
will go looking for Barry in an attempt to turn him and keep tabs on both Sookie and Bill. But, I wonder why Bill didn't really react to the taste of Sookie's blood the way that Lorena reacted to Barry's?

He comments on
how she tastes different
a few times at the beginning of Season 1.

yea aren't all telepaths supposed to taste different. Godric is a pretty cool guy, he didnt look like a strong guy but everybody was shitting bricks around him, they need to show his true power aside from the time he turned Eric. His line "I'm actually older than you Jesus" was full of win, Steve was like what the shit.

Oh, alright. I didn't remember that.

I think Eric is Lorena's maker, giving him indirect control of Bill thorugh her .

I would much rather watch Lorena's origin story flashbacks than the Maryann plotine that is tying up way too many good characters .
I can't wait to see when Lafayette gets back in business .

I saw Evan Rachel Wood on Jimmy Fallon saying that she will be playing a vampire queen on True Blood .

I think that is why Godric had Eric escort her out[they know each other] .

Godric had Bill escort her out. He had Eric escort Hugo.

Can't wait for sunday.
I still don't remember if it explained exactly how Eric knew Lorena though?
Eric is the sheriff and Bill and Lorena both are southern and lived in Eric's territory maybe?
How does the Magister relate to all these vampires? Is he like the king of the Louisiana vampires?
Sorta but I thought he controlled a larger region.
I think the Sheriffs control the states and the Magistrate controls a region of states (or possibly the entire continent).
Thats not how I understood it Eric is the Sheriff of Section..8? I took that as being a section of of La. not the whole state.

Here is the answer (according to someone who read the books): Each state has its own royalty. Eric is Sheriff of section 5 BTW (I thought they were using sections in place of states names, but they are sections of each state).

LMAO, god I love Jessica. Such a dork even at being a vampire.

Finally caught up, love the second season so far. It got better.

I Heart Anna Camp!

Poor Andy. lol, reminds me of dokes from Dexter. So miss understood.

WTF, is up with Maryann... ?

Whoa... intense ending to the last episode.

Maryann's bullshit has run it's course with me.. i don't need to see people with black eyes banging again. Give some bigger answers!

The only difference is that Dokes is an asshole.:D

A very entertaining asshole

The guy who plays Andy was really good on The Wire. I do miss Dokes on Dexter and was kinda sad when he, well we know.

Wait, so major offenses are brought before the magister? I forget, who was it it that sentenced Bill to turn Jessica? Was he the magister?

Yes, but I don't remember what Bill had done to get punished. Did he kill another vampire?
Yeah he killed that dude who was Eric's right hand guy.
Oh man, I don't remember shit from the first season. Do you recall which episode that was?

Yeah he was stealing from the club, sookie read the dude's mind and told eric, the guy tried to kill sookie, bill killed him defending sookie.

I feel like the writers added her and they didn't know what the hell direction to take so she just gets thrown in every once in a while for no reason.
The only difference is that Dokes is an asshole.:D
Yeah, his arse was. Still feel sorry for the guy somehow. lol

I keep hearing about that show... I'll see it "soon" if my damn illegal tivo gets in gear...
wasnt that guy doing some crap behind erics back
Long Shadow is a vampire and long time friend of Eric. He is the first bartender of Fangtasia and is staked by Bill when Sookie ID’s him as stealing money from Fangtasia and Eric.

Boy, Ed Quinn just has no luck...

Gets killed off in Eureka and now he's dead on True Blood. Quite disappointing considering in the books Stan ended up becoming sheriff.

Pretty meh episode compared to last week. Having Godric kill himself seems like the whole rescuing him bit was pretty pointless other than setting up the vampire vs. LODI even further. I really do wonder how much help Sam thinks Andy will be...

In the book, Stan was already sheriff, and becomes King of Texas later on.

This episode was pretty meh. I thought Eric's characterization in this episode was interesting at least. At first you wanna throttle him for
tricking Sookie into drinking his blood.
, but then you wanna give him a a hug after
Godrich commits suicide.

So there are 3 episodes left, and they're finally really to end this Maryann bullshit.

Season 2 ends with a showdown between the Queen and Mary Ann. Mary Ann retreats, leading into her gathering up all the shifters and waging a war against the vampires up til the end of the 3rd season. So she's gonna be around for quite a while.

Juuuuusssst Kidding.
