True Blood Official Discussion: Season 3 starts Sun. June 13th!

We saw a side of Eric that we had never seen before, him tricking Sookie was the funniest part of the episode, Sam went to Andy because at this point he is the only one that will believe him, not to mention everyone in the town is possesed. Oh and Lafayette kicked major ass, eggs got his ass handed to him. Kinda slow and emotional episode, it looks like the shit is finally going to hit the fan with next weeks episode.

Yeah, the Lafayette I know and love came back full force this episode. It was almost as good as the "AIDS burger" scene from season 1.

That, and he totally saw through Maryann's act.

this episode was good.
YEAH MOTHERfuckIN LAFAYETTE:applause:Whooping Eggs ass. Sam turning into a fly was awesome, but at the end Damn good bye Godric

Anybody else think of Soundwave from the Transformers cartoon when Sam shapeshifts into a very small animal?

I don't really see the point of killing something powerful off unless it is a cheap way of keeping the focus off of said powerful thing.

Wow, I thought this episode was great! Maybe not the most action packed, but it felt like it really moved the story forward. Rather than just hinting and hinting like they've done all season, we finally got to see
what the hell Mary Ann is there for, a resolution between Jason and Sookie, and a confrontation between Bill and Eric. And the final scene with Godric, Eric, and Sookie was some of the best acting on the show ever. I was also surprised that Lafayette was able to beat the shit out of a black-eyed Eggs.

Once again, Bill comes in about 15th place for most interesting character. When he was completely oblivious and tried to force that conversation upon Eric, as Godric was about to go kill himself, I said "fuck off, Bill!" Sadly, Eric only told him "Not now". Haha, can't wait till Eric beats his ass and takes his girl.
:D

Meh... It seems this show has turned into a mad house running around with it's head cut off then what it was. Well... at least before Maryann showed up.

Hope next week is better...

that scene was awesome makes me wonder though if him feeding offeric made him stronger than usual. still tired of maryann every scene shes in drags relentlessly. someone please tell me she dies this season.

Season 1 was great. Lately though this shows been getting worse every week. I'll hold on until seasons end, but it's going to have to get better to bring me back for season 3.

I feel the exact opposite. To me, season one felt like a cheap slasher/softcore porn flick a lot of the time, and played on stereotypes entirely too much. This season has a lot more depth and is better written, in my opinion.

I agree 100% with this. I was wanting my mom to watch the show but I was embarrassed to even show it to her because of season 1. She watched an episode of season 1 and that was all she could take even though I told her that it gets better. I would imagine a lot of people were turned off and never will come back.

yeah I don't see how anyone could feel that Season 2 has this show "getting worse"

I do admit, the Mary Ann storyline has been very slow to develop, I didn't need 5 different orgy-possession scenes to get the gist, but other than that, it's been just as good if not better than last season.
i dont get why sam doent just turn into a bear and kill her already.
:lol::applause:

Mary Ann could just screw him up and make him change into a mouse or something. I'm curious to see what kind of power she has over the vamps.
"I want my damn corn!!!"
That line got a laugh out of me, as well.

My wife insists that Sookie should dump Bill and stay with Eric. I don't get how that tv personality thinks she has authority over a freakin' sheriff. Maybe because she's the head of the Vampire League, or whatever?

I wonder if Sam is going to reveal his secret to Andy?

Props to Hoyt for standing up to his momma, and nice to see Sookie shedding her clothing again this episode.
Dead Space: Extraction product placement FTW. I 'ed
Is that what game his F'd up Mom was playing on the Wii? I was lol'ing that whole scene.

My wife has read the books, so if you wanna know why Sookie's hand was glowing click the spoiler.

Sookie is part Fairy.
Dead Space: Extraction product placement FTW. I 'ed
Well, it does come out in a month, so it should be good enough to show off for a few minutes.

I missed the first 20 minutes of this week and don't feel compelled to backtrack.

I'm glad to see everything tying together.

Sadly, Bill is continuing to be useless.

I don't know how mnay times I said "Holy shit" during this episode, but MAN this was a great one.

I loved the "sacrifice" scene. It was something straight out of a Scoody-Doo episode
Ok, so apparently I'm alone in thinking last night's episode was goofy and ridiculous.
I agree.
The whole crap with them following army commands was just stupid. They were mindless hedonists for most of the season and thats the way it should have been

curse you and your spoilers i hope youre wrong btw that would kind of kill the show for me.decent could have been better episode still wish theyd hurry up and kill her already shes the most annoying character in the show and not in a good way. i like how everyones kinda banding together in ways they wouldnt have before.

i really cant wait to see what happens once they get over this hurdle because then youll have everyone knowing everyones secrets especialy interested in seeing how people will react to knowing sam is a shape shifter. also im curious to see if bill will use what he knows about eric using lafayette to sell v against him.

Great fucking episode. MILES better than the last. fucking hilarious. Glad people are getting a clue now. Let's fucking get rid of Her now...

General Stupid Vampire Question Alert... So, when a vampire bites you do you or don't you become a vampire... ??

you only become one if they drain you and then you drink from them i believe but i think with werewolves you can be bitten and turned.

+1

It had its moments like when
Lafayette punched Tara in the face and then said "This is the worst intervention ever"
but for the most part everything came off as silly to me.

I admit the "god" scene was kind of silly, but then it shows how messed up those folks were.

Not to mention how crazy jason is.

i thought this episode was weak sauce, im interested to see what is the deal with eric and the queen. also how sam is gonna get out of this one

Last night's episode was pretty meh, but still enjoyable. I swear, Tara seems to get dumber by the wee.

But what fuck was up with
that egg at the end of the episode?
. They never hinted at anything like that about to happen before. While surprising, I honestly couldn't take it seriously because of the absudity of the scene.

This episode didn't do much to move the plot along, but I thought it had some really great lines. I mentioned to my wife how the show is almost starting to have a Buffy feel with the way it'll be dead serious one second, and then just whip out something that will make you bust out laughing. My highlights from this episode:

Evan Rachel Wood  She was fantastic. I love when she said to Bill "So, are we going to have sex? ...kidding." I hope they keep her around permanently. Godric was an awesome character, and losing him so quickly sucked, but I'd trade him for Evan Rachel Wood any day, haha ;)

Jason's fascination with Sam turning into animals. "If Sam turned into a chicken, do you think he could lay his own egg? I mean, that would be weird eating something that just came out of you."

Jason struggling to refuse sex. "I've never taken advantage of a girl under the influence." "That's a lie. What about...(forgot the name)" "Hey! She was fine when it started!"

Like I said, not really the best episode in terms of progressing the story, but I still thought it was enjoyable. For whatever reason, I'm far more hooked on the show this season than I was last year. Maybe it's the way every episode seems to end with a huge cliffhanger, but I always find myself greatly anticipating the next week's episode.
Die Maryann, die already. This story line has run its course.
Yes, she died one episode before the season finale. That makes complete sense...
I'm sorry- I thought the next episode to air would be the finale, thus making perfect sense.
Huh? You mean you thought last night was the finale? If so, then I can understand your hopes. Don't get me wrong, we're all sick of Mary-Ann. I was just pointing out from a writing standpoint, killing off the season's big villain one episode before the finale would be really lame. Don't worry, I'm sure it's coming.

I had been hoping that Eric or even The Vampire Queen would kill her. If Bill does it, I'm going to feel let down. He's way too lame and non-threatening to take her out. I think Jason would stand a better chance. The sucky part is, we've gotta wait two weeks. The finale doesn't air until 9/13. No True Blood next week. :bomb:
How could I have thought the "next" episode was last nights episode? I said die Maryann, not Maryann is dead.
Nevermind. Mistook what you meant. Yes, we all want Mary-Ann to die. I hope they dedicate a whole 30 minutes to her dying. I'd even like to see Tara and Eggs get to kick the shit out of her.

Jason is funny as shit!! Again he steals the show. Evan Rachel Woods OMG Amesome!!! Yes Tera is getting Dumber by the episode i blame this on her love for eggs though. Speaking on that who do y'all think is gonna die next week.
I'm thinking Maryanne(thats a gimme), Eggs, Tara's Mom, And a few random town folks.
