CLASSIC PLASTIC STARTS JUNE 19TH. 3 dc/gen/snes/nes/gb/gbc/psone games for 15 dollars.

Buy 2 Get 1 free on all current gen used games starts JUNE 18th. All 3 games have to be for the same system. Something about buying hardware with it??? Specifics of this deal are still questionable.

ACTIVE:

Nintendo DS trade in value = $65. No longer $71.

Not sure when it starts:

Xbox trade in value = $75 when you put it toward an Xbox 360

Still not sure when any of these end.

He was probably just messing with you...most GameCrazy employees that know what Earthbound is would probably buy it off the person trading it in since I doubt GC gives much in trade for it.

Oh, I saw a Legend of Mana for PSX but it was disc-only so I passed on it. Saw a nice cart-only Mystical Ninja for N64 that I might go back for. Passeed on cart-only N64 Castlevania since I already have a complete copy and 2 copies of Super Smash Bros. 64 because they had crappy labels. They had plenty of rare N64 games I had no interest in...like San Francisco Rush, Beetle Adventure Racing, etc.

I'd really like to find a Magical Tetris Challenge.

So it was a pretty good day. Also, the Castlevania Adventure is for trade, and it would be perfect if someone would trade it straight up for a Zelda: Oracle of Ages.
 
You guys are all so lucky, my only gamecrazy in the nearest 30 mile radius had JACK CRAP. I woke up went straight there found out the clerk bought out everything worth value. Left all the 4.99 stuff out. Got mad because that ruins the whole 3 clasic plastics for $15 when they were already marked 4.99? Damn that just makes me mad. I'm about to head to ebgames i guess. I Looked around game crazy got pissed and left :whistle2:(. I'm jealous.

Rictor: No he wasn't playing around because the drawer he had all his stuff in was just loaded of good games i wanted. He tried to sell me Mario Party for 64 for $10 after he just got it for $5 in the morning. I got shitty and demanded to speak to a manager. So he shut his drawer didn't show me anything else, told me manager wasnt in and continued his work. But before i got shitty with him he said he bought out every megaman for nes, earthbound, and some mario games for n64 which he tried to sell me one. It's crap when things like that happen.
 
Ok the deal goes like this, I work at GameCrazy. Classic Plastic is any 1st and 2nd Gen games are 3 for $15. So if there is a 12.99 game for ps1 or whatever that you are looking for, it'll be $5. This goes for Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, PS1, Gameboy, and Gameboy Color. Also there is a trade 2 360 games get one free. And finally an extra $20 dollars credit when you trade in your old xbox to buy a 360. Also the DS trades in for 71 bucks store credit so basically you can get a DS Lite for $63 bucks including tax. The Red River store has a couple boxes of PS1 and Dreamcast in the back. Just ask for it. Mostly junk but worth a look.

Heh, if you worked at Game Crazy wouldn't you grab the good $5 games for yourself? Yah, you know you would. They deserve some perks for working a crappy minimum wage job and dealing with annoying customers all day.

You just have to hope the employees at your local stores either don't collect classic games or don't know there's a sale. Usually the clerks around here have no idea there's a sale and I have to make them call the district manager, which is what happened at the second store I went to today. Then he called a second time because he wanted to make sure I could buy more than 3 games at 3 for $15 (*rolls eyes*).
 
The first store I stopped at didn't have much of anything. A couple weeks ago I noticed they had Harvest Moon and the Mario Party games, but the guy working told me that someone had come in earlier today and bought a ton of N64 games, so I'm sure that's where they went.

The second store I went to had a pretty good selection, as usual. They had a bunch of sealed PS1 games marked as used and had recently received a shipment of Saturn games from another store. They still had a lot of Game Gear games, months after they were marked down to $0.99. I also found a complete/boxed copy of Time Crisis: PT w/ Guncon.

Looks like I'll probably be passing on this one. Called one of the GCs around here and no Bubble Bobble or GI Joe, therefore not worth driving 20 minutes on a whim. I might call another relatively close store tomorrow, but expectations are low.
 
DS trade in value back up to $71, just walked out with a DS Lite, Brain Age, and 12 rentals for a fat DS, $65 and change.

I hit up the third and final GC in town and found Mario Party 2, Mario Party 3, and then I had trouble finding a third game so I went with Maximum Carnage for Genesis.

I wanted Lethal Enforcers I & 2 for PSX but it was disc-only. Pretty much all their good PSX and Dreamcast games (they had hundreds) were disc-only. It was sad reading through the list.
 
ARGH! Dammit, i got Record of Lodoss War for the Dreamcast as part of the Classic Plastic sale. Problem is that it had a Hollywood Video sticker all over the CD and it wasn't a small sticker, it encompassed the whole damn thing and was a bit of a distraction. So just peeled it off, thing is i guess i peeled too hard and it took off a good chunk of the CD disc design part, think i can get it refunded or did i just screw myself have to get some more games as part of the classic plastic deal and another copy of it?

Oh man, I did that too w/ my Parasite Eve disc 2. Anyone got a spare PE2 disc 2 only? Ha ha.

Well guess I'll have to check out a store now that the sale is live.

Heh, well glad im not alone. I also figure that just means im screwed and hopefully they still have a few other copies. Such BS though that they would leave such an irritating sticker on it, hell it isn't even a sticker it's a friggin contraption of hell meant to anger and sadden.
 
Complete Bust at my local store. The employees picked it clean and there was nothing worth while. I went to the Dreamcast section which was virtually the same when I cleaned them out during a similar sale. I picked up Untold Legends for 17.99 Used for PSP. :drool:
 
Nothing great at my local store either. Most of the plastic was sub-$5 anyways.

Got a couple more here in town to hit up, but so far it's feeble.

i highly doubt the employees picked it clean. this is the 3rd time this sale happen and 99.9% of all the major titles were sold last year. I was shocked they had musical adventure game. Also shocked you like Untold legends. I just picked up the first one after playing the 2nd one and i was like. This game really sucks compair to the 2nd one : )
 
That buy 2 get 1 free is only if you buy the used system for those games, i found out the hardway...

I called them this morning & i asked about the 2 for 1 & they said yeah we're having that sale...I ask if that's for all consoles & he said yeah but you have to make sure that they are all of the same for that system...ie(all gamecube games) Then i ask about what's that hardware thing you have to buy, do i need to buy a system or anything...The dude told me no, just make sure all the games are for that system...So i was like cool i'm on my way...I go there spend about 30mins looking around...No classic plastics worth getting...but did pick up some gamecube games...Goto the register & the same guy is like...Uhh you need to buy a system when getting this...I was like, i just called & the guy on the phone told me i didn't have too...Then the guy told me I don't know who you talked to but he's wrong...I know its that same guy cuz i recognize his voice...What a waste of gas & time...

Anyway, i went to the other Gamecrazy near by & was able to pick up a few PS1 titles...

Is there a thread that show classic plastic game value...Like what games should i look out for per game system...
 
I usually dont bother with these sales because all the gamecrazy employees that i know scoop up the good classic games as soon as they are traded in so basically no chance for the customer to get anything. The 2 gamecrazys are far from me so i dont bother.

I generally dont like cart only and disk only games, which is all i have seen gamecrazy carry, and i am not paying 5$ for a totally scratched up and unplayable disk only dreamcast game. Not to mention they have tried to sell me opened and played games as new before (worse than ebgames).

Does anyone know if those gamegear games are still 0.99 in the system, thats the only one i was able to fool the clerks on since they were all tagged at ridiculously high prices??

All GG games should be $0.99 or less. A couple sports games that I didn't buy rang up @ $0.49, with all the others that I did buy being $0.99.

I only ran to one GC today and it was a TOTAL bust. The people that work there raped the store before any customers could get in. Most of the titles they had (classic plastic) were crap...I would see for $1 or less at a garage sale...why should I pay $5 for it?

Anywho, I would have to say that when it comes to sales, I've had the worst luck at GC stores due to the clerks grabbin nearly anything worth having beforehand. I've almost always been able to find decent stuff at GS and EB, but GC...forgeddaboutit! Kind of a bummer when they are one of the only places that carries the classic stuff in the first place.

Didn't look like they had much good left.. Pokemon Snap and Donkey Kong are the only other things I saw that interested me there..

Yeah, I wasn't expecting much but damn did the employees pick it clean. The only two possible treasures were Tobal No.1 and Alundra 2, both disc only, and I couldn't find a single other good game to complete the trio.
 
Lucky find was a new/sealed Hoshigami w/ security sticker. The store I was at had a bunch of new/sealed PS1 games, but wasn't familiar with most of them, although some titles looked pretty cool. Also disc only Saga Frontier 2, Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV Wall of Fire, Shining in the Darkness, Spy vs. Spy (NES), Archon w/ manual (NES), couple other things. Oh and I got a SEGA Genesis mouse for $2.99. Now to look for SEGA Gen mouse compatible games.
