Nah, SgtMurder doesn't deserve to get banned for having a different opinion but rather he deserves to get banned because he's intentionally inflammatory to the point that he's outright trolling. I've never wanted UncleBob to be banned, or you, or many other people whom I've disagreed with to be banned. SgtMurder, on the other hand, he needs to go.

Nobody is forcing you to read his posts. You can block him.
 
Yeah, just use the ignore user feature.

Other than spammers, the only people who should be banned are those who are majorly breaking forum rules with personal attacks and things of that nature.

The ones that are just annoying can just be put on ignore. I mean I guess there's some threshold for trolling and trying to stir shit up repeatedly like what gargus did over and over and over again. I haven't seen this guy post enough to warrant that yet.
 
I dont think Murder should be banned, the guys annoying but not doing anything wrong. Bic is the only person iv ever seen at this board that I think honestly deserved a ban. The guy was flooding the topic over and over and over again with link after link after link vs placing them all in one post. He should have been warned by moderators then banned if he didnt listen because his activity was disruptive.

Murder is just another troll or just another right wing crazy factory...he is easy to give an initial shot and then simply ignore.
 
Murder was being just as disruptive. If he wants to respond to multiple people, he can use the multiquote feature instead of shitting up the thread. This thread is already going way off topic so I'm stopping myself right there.

Any volunteers to make a split thread? We can continue this discussion in there.

His first ban was for trolling in a Sendai flood thread. He was also a semi rational standard con for a while. I don't find posting whatever flame bait (ignore feature or not people go for it) ok but not allowing "personal attacks" logically consistent. Especially the way personal attacks gets defined here.
 
If you find my comments to be inflammatory, then like others have suggested, please, put me on ignore. I don't force you to read my post or analyze my post, because obviously it bothers the lot of you and maybe hits to close to home.

Sorry we're not all centrist lefties or card carrying members of the socialist workers party, some of us, gasp, have different beliefs and express them differently oppose to the lot of you.

Which is why I said repeated trolling/flame baiting is ban worthy. I just haven't seen many of this guys posts as I don't read the vs. forum all that much anymore, so maybe I've missed a history of trolling by him.

Cute, but no. I am fine with with you bob, noelle, thrust, and pretty much everyone else on this forum, murder imo has passed the line between passionate person to outright troll a few weeks ago.
