What are you watching on your Netflix (or going to watch)?

I've been getting 1 and 2 bars when watching episodes of 30 Rock and I have a 3mb connection. When playing through my computer I get 4 bars every time.

I like the convenience of watching through the 360 though. I've been watching season 1 of 30 Rock and Kurau Phantom Memory (pretty decent anime series).
 
My friend says he hates it cause it's youtube quality and yet he has still has 4 bars. Some how I think he is lying. Almost every movie I watched looks good with no youtube quality. He also says it takes a minute or two for the movie to load. Usually mine just flys right by within seconds.

Back to the Subject, I started to watch The Office Season 1 and I just don't get what people see in this show. Now onto 30 Rock to see how it is. I heard Tracy Morgan is a riot.

It's not me. I have a 15MB connection and never have a problem. And he hasnt told me his Connection speed yet. But Im just trying to tell him that it's his connection speed. But of course he is one of those thats either hates it or loves it off the bat.
 
So far I have watched The King of Kong and The Thirteenth Warrior on Netflix. Both of which are completely awesome movies. The video quality of The King of Kong was great. The Thirteenth Warrior's video quality started off as okay—which can be forgiven since it is almost ten years old—but after a while the quality seemed to get better or maybe I just forgot it looked a bit fuzzy. Who knows, I remembered it looking good though after the beginning.

Hopefully Netflix keeps making its instant watch selection larger and larger because I think this is a great way to watch movies.
 
Just a heads up for those of you watching season 2 of Heroes. The last 2 episodes are not in the right order. After watching episode 9 make sure you go straight to ep 11, after watching it go back to ep 10 which is actually the last episode for season 2. Almost spoiled the plot for me for a moment.
 
Looks like some movies have come off of the no 360 stream list. It wasnt like this before House came on, and after Fringe was over I turned on my 360 and went to netflix and there were more movies. Shows up in my queue online with no conditions either. Sweetness. Real Genius here I come!!

Yup, it looks like Netflix fixed the licensing issues. Ghostbusters and Escape from New York are back in my 360 Netflix Queue, WOO HOO!
 
There are still a few on my list, mainly newer movies, but a larger portion of them are available to me now.

Columbia Pictures’ range of movies are once again available for the 360’s new Netflix streaming service. Nearly all the films, which had strangely vanished from the store last week, can now be watched on Microsoft's console.

The news that Columbia Pictures movies disappeared from the service, on the day that NXE went live, triggered speculation over why it had happened. Many suggestions had centred around the fact that Columbia Pictures is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment, and that Netflix’s VP of corporate communications Steve Swasey explained that the removal of the movies were not a technical issue.

Sony Pictures quickly tried to squash the growing speculation that the removal of the films was an intentional means to undermine the service, and explained that it was in the discussion process of resolving such licensing matters. Netflix too released a statement last week suggesting the Columbia Pictures movies were hoped to return shortly.

There were approximately 15 or so movies in my instant watch queue that I couldn't view on my Xbox. Now, there are 6:

And about 44 other movies that I can't think of right now. Not sure if they're all available for streaming on the 360, though.

Ever since moving to my new house a year ago, I've had my computer in a different room rather than my bedroom. Anyway, I had put the Kama Sutra video in my queue just for shits and giggles. The other night, as I lay in bed, I thought to myself, "Damn, I'd really like to masturbate, but I don't want to get out of bed." So I turned on the 360 and started the video up.

Long story short, it's worthless. It's basically just 2 naked people hugging. It barely even looks like they're having sex. I mean, they're in the positions, but you can tell it's terribly fake. Horrible stuff.

The selection for Netflix Instant is just pathetic. After you watch the very few good movies available (None were great.), there isn;t anything to watch. I wish they would add some good movies and none of this weird third rate crap.
 
There are a lot of good movies available if you dig classics and/or documentaries.

If not, then yeah the selection is a bit thin. I like those, and I have the subscription mainly for discs so the on demand stuff is just the icing on the cake.

I have about 90 movies on my que. If you dig deep into the movies, you'll find some classics. Especially like the Troma movies. Been a fan of them since I was about 14.
 
Yeah, I'm with Vulcan. The selection is shit compared to the actual DVD by mail selection, but you're comparing 1,200 movies to 9,000+. I have 138 items in my instant queue, having watched 4 others. 7-8 of those items are TV show seasons with anywhere between 6 and 22 episodes. You know how long that will take to watch? Plus I'm receiving roughly 3 discs (one at a time) per week. Well worth the $8.99 per month.

My wife and I have been watching lots of 30 Rock (in HD!!!) and new episodes of Heroes (in HD!!!!!). She's also been watching far too many terrible movies.

It seems like the service really gets slammed around primetime. Generally I'll get lower quality view around that time despite my 22Mb connection.
 
Watching District B13. Oh my friggin God, such great action scenes. If you liked Ong Bak or any Tony Jaa movie you should watch this.
 
I'm currently watching Jericho and I'm really enjoying it. It's nice that they have the whole series on there so I can finish it all up. I really didn't expect it to be as good as it is, but I hear that the second season is just amazing.

Yeah that's gonna be a problem for me if they do that. I really don't understand why Netflix would need to do that. If space is a problem, invest in new servers/hard drives or whatever they use.
 
Just started watching Coupling (BBC Series). The show is pretty funny if you like British comedies (the blonde on the show - Sarah Alexander - is smoking as well).

Sucks that they can't stream Dolby Digital 5.1 sound through the Xbox 360. I think Blockbuster's new ONDemand service has the same short coming from what I read. Its no biggie on comedies or documentaries, but for anything with a decent action soundtrack, its a real bummer.
 
La Vie En Rose, 30 Rock, Gattaca, Gone Baby Gone, 28 Up, 35 Up, Paris Je T'aime, Red Dwarf Ser 1, Ratatouille, Talking Heads: Stop Making Sense, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, The Lookout.

There's a bunch of good foreign movies and docs available, if you're into that kinda thing. It sucks when I would think of something and go looking for instant availability, and alas, no dice.
 
So far ive watched a Scooby Doo movie, Unbreakable, Cashback (in HD!), King of Kong (so badass), season 1 of 30 Rock and already into Season 2 in HD. I also watched some of The Thing in HD to just gauge the PQ since ive already seen it. I am truly impressed. Does the 360 upscale the image if its SD to whatever HD res you are using? Its seems like it is, some of the SD stuff just looks absolutely fantastic.

Anyway, they need to add WAY more movies and a ton more HD and this will be the best thing for movie lovers in a long time. Loving 30 rock so far btw, episode 202 is the funniest thing ive ever seen.

Yes I noticed this as well and there are a few movies in my que that I won't be able to watch after the first of January, I'm a little confused by this. I also notice that Surf's Up isn't even available anymore as of NOW, so if I want to watch it I'll have to have it shipped to me.
 
I just started today as I forgot to switch my plan from el cheapo to the $10 plan. Watched 1/2 of Season 2 Heroes and the 4 episodes of Captain N The Game Master they have for streaming.
 
Finished 30 rock season 2 and also watched all 3 of the jamie fox comedy specials along with the bill burr comedy special (it sucked). So much content its insane. I havent watched a tv show in about... 6+ years, so this is a way for me to catch up. I might start heroes or office next.
 
Watched the King of Kong last night, maybe i'm missing something but i thought it was laughably bad. You've got one guy who thinks holding the record score makes him god and another who cries because he cant beat it. It was creepy more than anything...
 
Started watching Vote For Me, GREAT!!! I had a 768k DSL connection and Netflix streaming looked like crap youtube videos. Upgraded to 5 MBPS and looks great.
 
Once my ISP (Cox Cable) finishes the upgrades in my area (going from just coax lines to Fiber lines) I can go back to watching HD movies and TV shows like The Office and Heroes without netflix telling me my internet connection slowed and throwing it from 720p to 480p
 
Here is more information on the expiring titles and a statement (full of fluff) by a Netflix spokesman.
As watching instantly becomes a more prominent part of the Netflix service, our goal is to have all of our streaming content available for all of our partner devices. We’re doing well in this area, but it will take some time before we fully achieve that goal. Today, titles regularly come in and out of availability and there is a natural ebb and flow to what we have available at any given point in time.

Just went back to finish Vote For Me and it wouldn't play! A pop up says something like can't play back. I tried both resume and from the beginning and same result. Has anyone else ran into this? Started a different movie and no problem. Any ideas?
