ei guys, you think this is possible? we've heard rumors time and again regarding a black wii system but nothing is imminent. I think there will be an updated wii in black fashion bundled with wii sports2. I can't wait for E3!:bouncy:
i get it. black. better at sports.

haha.

good one.
So any of you rugged men download Toki Tori?
I just play it for the music now.
Does it suck or something? Don't have any WiiWare and have 1600 points [still].

I don't think your balance board will appreciate candy :nottalking:

SMRPG will be out this summer.
Mainly because I say so, but I just have a feeling.
I really does!
I don't think your balance board will appreciate candy :nottalking:
Ze board won't know I have ze candies, if I eat ze candies while standing on ze board!

Mauhahahahhahahahahah!
I only played a few levels.. had a few things I had to to do (PLUS I HAD TO Wii FIT!!1)
So far, yeah. I'm beyond pissed about the save files.. ESPECIALLY since it's a 290 block game.

The music is cute and yet awesome.
The control is very simple. (plus you can use a classic or gamecube of you wish not to use the pointer)
The daily log he sends to your Wii message board is cute ^_^
The puzzles so far are really simple, but I'm still in the first world. It's basically a tutorial on what to do, how to use items, etc. I can see this getting REALLY hard...which is good.

So far, yeah I can say it's worth the 1000 points. It's def not worth the 290 blocks, though
Thanks for that but I`m still deciding if its worthwhile...you did mention you only play it for the music now
No, it's really good!
I watched some videos of it, but I couldn't really figure out what was going on... Not sure if I'm really interested.
I watched some videos of it, but I couldn't really figure out what was going on... Not sure if I'm really interested.
that's how i feel. The videos don't make it seem that exciting.
damn/thanks nintendo and lilboo for worms demo, bought the game
I also bought it after playing the demo.
So what do I win if SMRPG never comes out in America, Doomed?

Please say candy.
Wait, you meant in America? Your post in context:
It was recently announced for Japanese VC release for this month. Nintendo puts out a list of everything coming out for the VC over there, and Mario RPG was included, meaning it is definitely supposed to come out this month.

I'm still not convinced it will, but I'll happily eat my words if it does.
\
The way the last two sentances are worded, you are implying you don't think SMRPG will come out in Japan, and you will eat your words if it does. In America, I doubt we will see it at all with the whole Nintendo "How can we piss off people today?" thing going on.
Thanks for that but I`m still deciding if its worthwhile...you did mention you only play it for the music now
 Well no, I just said that because I'm really liking the music. Still a solid game!
I watched some videos of it, but I couldn't really figure out what was going on... Not sure if I'm really interested.

that's how i feel. The videos don't make it seem that exciting.
If any of you have played Adventures Of Lolo...it's like that in a way. The first levels are pretty dumb as it's just a tutorial. Some levels you get to use certain items a certain amount of times so it's about figuring out when to use it.

I still haven't gotten further so I can't say if it gets REALLY hard (I'd imagine) but there have been a few levels that confused me for a few tries.
Very good puzzle/platformer. :applause:
Ze board won't know I have ze candies, if I eat ze candies while standing on ze board!

Mauhahahahhahahahahah!
And you wonder why I outrun you in Wii Fit. :nottalking:

I'll eat my words if it comes out period. But I also get candy if it never does.
And you wonder why I outrun you in Wii Fit. :nottalking:
I also wonder why you didn't read my Shia Lefuff fanfiction I was writing last night.

Why, Yukine. Why.

Yeah sorry I took off, I got distracted as my girlfriend's brother brought over hot pot vittles and sake.

I read it and laughed my ass off, it doesn't help that I was mildly intoxicated. Lilboo would probably enjoy it if you still have it saved.

Uh... Wiiware is awesome.

I'm sure being three sails definitely helped.

I'll dig it out soon.

My Walmart finally marked down the point cards with the controller gloves to $15 after sitting at $20 for months. I got four of them even though I already had 3300 points in my account, but I did download Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (which I really enjoy so far, I've played it for atleast 3 hours) so I'm sitting at 9800 points and ready for more VC/Wiiware games.

Sadly now all of my N64 games but Kirby are on an SD card, along with Lost Winds.
Bad news Strell
It didn't work. (super metroid run w/ gun button)
Ok, I know there's some button that you hold down that causes you to run faster than just pressing the dpad in some direction. I doubt it's the jump button, but it could be.

I mean I really don't think there's a powerup early on that you're missing. You're in the room that's like....all the stuff is green vegetation, and halfway across the bridge there's a mechanical gate that closes down, yeah?

Spot on about the room, I guess I'll try other buttons while moving Samus around later...I'm just hoping something comes up

Also, I didn't realize how much fun I used to have with Zelda: OoT as a kid...just dl'd it and I'm loving every second of it (aside from all the dialouge and cut scenes )
I think its A. But IIRC I may change my controller configuration in that game. Or maybe thats MegaMan X that I change it.
Are you referring to me? If so,
thanks for the tip.
If not,
sorry for not being able to tell who you were talking to.

Yeah. There might be summadems side-hoppaz in the room, but it's been a while.

Hmmm. It only takes like 10-15 minutes to get there from a fresh game...I wonder if I should boot up and just go look at it myself.

No idea what you're referring to in the "side-hoppaz" comment...

Go for it!

The first time I played Super Metroid was when I downloaded it on the Virtual Console and I got stuck at that part too. I actually looked up how to get past it on Gamefaqs, I couldn't believe the solution was that simple.

The true ending to Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (which I can truthfully say since I haven't seen it yet):

09:49 And then Shia lifted the great boulder off of Indy, who was breathing hard. Hard like on the first night they had met, in that steamy Disney club so far away in the awful streets of Los Angeles.

09:59 "INDY!" Shia cried. "Don't die on me, Indy!"

10:38 "Shia, my boy....." mumbled Indy, a great effort visibly required on his part to say anything. "Please.....go to my house...and water my plants when I'm gone."

10:50 "I couldn't ever water them as manly as you can, Indy!"

11:10 "That's ok, my boy. All they need is....is....a little....A LITTLE TENDA'NEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!"

11:38 And as Shia held Indy in his arms - pulsating with the beat of a thousand drums - he watched Indy's hands slowly tremble and then become still.

11:45 And that was when the evil clowns came.

13:13 Hordes of them, in every shade of pink and green that you could imagine.

13:54 All with differently slanted smiles. Some donned make-up tears on their faces in the shape of tiny snowflakes, while others were a sharp and angry spear point.

14:22 Many of them were armed with coconuts, and some with bananas. The more sensible lord-clowns came armed with Fruit Roll Ups in arsenic flavor.

15:08 Shia had no time to plan an escape - he hoisted the mighty whip from Indy's pants (tenderly), feeling the great shaft (tenderly) in his hands, gripping it with care and firmness (tenderly).

......

16:50 Clearly this story is so awesome you are completely speechless.

16:53 And perhaps also dead.

I played some more Toki Tori tonight.
I'm really hooked now. The fuckin levels are getting pretty hard. Not :THROWS REMOTE AT TV AND CURSES THE CHICKEN: but it's close. Real close.

The first level, the forrest, has 10 levels. Once you beat those 10 you go to the NEXT level, which is "CREEPY CASTLE", but you ALSO unlock 7 more stages in the forrest that are entitled "Hard 1" "Hard 2" "Hard 3"..etc. I only did the first 3 hards (LOL) and they were pretty challenging.

We both sat at the TV just STARING..looking for something to do. It almost feels like Zack & Wiki (gasp) again. As levels get higher, you unlock all sorts of new items and the fact that on some levels you only have so many of each item makes it just THAT much confusing.

The game feels like Zack & Wiki and The Adventures Of Lolo, which is a really good thing. The music is cute but I dance to it anyway (very obnoxiously, too). Don't think that the game IS Z&W, as it IS very different..but the puzzle solving seems to feel the same way. I just know whatever is next (I think the sewer level) is gonna get really hard that I'm goin to curse this fuckin chicken.

Get this game. It's really good. Once you get passed the first 5 or 6 levels of just plain SIMPLE (its boring during that part) you'll love it. The videos can't do this game justice as the fun of the game is tryin to solve the fuckin puzzle on how to collect all of these god damn eggs :bomb:

So get it. Try it. I really do think most of you will enjoy it. It depends on your love for puzzle games.

I hope I convinced at least two people to get it this way I can point and laugh @ Roland for NOT sending me Critter Round-Up :nottalking: (I probably WOULD have enjoyed it and WOULD have recommended it, but NOOOOO!!)
Is Toki Tori WW a remake of the GBC version, or does it have completely new levels/puzzles?
From what I've read, it sounds like neither - there are levels from the GBC version mixed in with new levels, apparently.

fuck you. fuck you for making me want the game - I used to love the old Lolo games, and comparing them to this is almost enough to get me to buy it. Almost.

I'll have to think about it, but this game sounds a lot like one I'd like, you BASTARD. :bomb:

I really wish there were demos of WiiWare/VC...

I just realized that I don't have enough room for Toki Tori anyway. I have less than 200 blocks available on my system. Go figure.

Speaking of which... lilboo, are you planning to update WiiWare titles with the amount of blocks they take up?
I just ran across IGN's review of Family Table Tennis. 2.5/10, the hell?

For $5, can it really be that bad?
I you're basing the review on the price, no. If you're basing it on file size and actual content, yeah. If you have a Wii, you have Wii Sports (generally), which means you already have the bulk of this game. The response was not as good as Wii Sports tennis and the other modes didn't really add much.

And the character models were really annoying.

I cant tell you how true this is. I've bought like 10 Vc/Wiiware games because of him :applause:

Sounds bad, but most were really fun, so props to you Lilboo :bouncy:
lilboo: Sucking...dry since 2003.
lilboo, what VC/Wii Ware game would you say is the best, especially in regards to value?
lilboo: Sucking your wallets dry since 2003.
Read that wrong and was going to say "NO, SINCE 1998" but then.. yeah anyway,..

SEE ROLAND? SEE WHAT COULD HAVE BECOME OF YOUR GAME WHERE THE CRITTERS GET ROUNDED UP?! :nottalking:
That's a good idea, get to it boo.
Yes yes, I was really tired last weekend, so I will do it this weekend since I have the apt to myself (for the most part) and I'll have lots o time to do it. I'm only gonna do WiiWare games, though!

Just curious, what games have I influenced on you?
:applause:
lilboo, what VC/Wii Ware game would you say is the best, especially in regards to value?
There's a lot of different answers I can give. For example, I love Harvest Moon (SNES), but it's the FIRST game so it def needed some work (which it clearly got eventually). But for $8, it's awesome. It's addicting..and if you wanted the cartridge, it's like.. a lot of $$ on eBay.

Then you have Sin & Punishment. Being the most expensive Virtual Console game, it seems kinda hard to see how it can be a great value. It is a great value because we never had a chance to play this (legally), and it IS a good game. It controls really well and it's a lot of fun. The story is short but it's one of them games you can keep going back and back and back to great the best rankings. It's one of the FEW (and I mean FEW) VC games that are still active on my Wii.

Super Mario Bros 3 for $5 is awesome because it's an awesome game. That's all.
There's a lot more that are great for their value, but for the most part it just comes down to everyones taste. Harvest Moon for $8 seems like a steal for me, but might seem like a rip off for you.

Out of the current lineup of WiiWare games that we (North America) have, I'd say My Life As a King is probably the BEST game we have that's worth the $15. Like S&P, it's the most expensive game we have BUT you get TONS of replay value. I put WELL over 30 hours into my FIRST playthrough, and I'm way into my second playthrough now. Any game that provides you with currently over 40 hours of playtime @ a price of $15 is WELL worth it. It also helps that my BF is addicted to the game too, so it def gets a lot of play.

Toki Tori is probably the second best in terms of value. It seems kinda "Why?", but we both sat at this one puzzle for 35 minutes thinking of things to do!! INSANE. Like I said before, it's great and addicting, but it's great in terms of playing a few puzzles at a time. The puzzles are DEF getting harder. But maybe I'm just stupid :dunce:

The ONE thing that puts Toki Tori at a question for $10 is because of NO save files. :bomb:

Dr Mario is pretty much 2 games + online play, so I'd agree very much with the $10
Europe got no VC games today, instead just one WiiWare game, Magnetica - 1000 Points.
Please tell me your interested in the game and you downloaded it. I forgot all about that game...I really enjoyed Zuma on my 360 and look foward to this. So if you can give any details PLEASE DO :D (like block size  )

Unfortunately, I'm not that interested in it...well, not for 1000 points, at least. Never played the DS version. In the WiiWare version, I know you can play with up to 4 players simultaneously in multiplayer, and you can use your own Miis.

Japan got it in April, we got today, America's release date is..."TBA".
There is a rumor going around that VC is getting ready to "wind down".
I demand links. This is not in a "fuckyouIDONTBELIEVEIT" way, but more in a "I'm already frustrated enough with the way the VC has been handled, especially when there's dozens of games I fucking want" way.

I know someone mentioned it recently, but damn do I want Pilotwings 64. That really was a masterpiece of a game.
There is a rumor going around that VC is getting ready to "wind down".
Is there any other way to describe the current number VC releases each week as anything other then winding down? ;)
