1. Electric
2. Pause multiple times
3. ???
4. Death!

Right. Hopefully! I know the trick was somewhat preserved in the PS2 Anniversary Collection, at least.

Oh, BTW I'm not playing the Wii version. I am playing the GCN Anniversary collection!

Also, everyone check out my latest blog. It's Europe/Mario RPG related. :nottalking:
Hate them
I always used the Elec Beam, and, provided they've preserved the exploit in the Wii version, repeatedly paused and unpaused the game right as it hit, scoring multiple hits and killing him in one shot.

Right. Hopefully! I know the trick was somewhat preserved in the PS2 Anniversary Collection, at least.
I can almost verify that the trick still works in the anniversary collection , in which case the emulated version on the VC has no reason for the trick not to work.

If the trick doesn't work though your basically fucked.
Mega Man is hard. Which robot master should I try first? I failed at the few that I tried. :whistle2:(
I usually go with bomb man first , then guts , cut , elec , ice and fire. To me Bomb Man is the easiest to beat with just the buster. The alternative would be to start with cut man , since guts mans weapon may or may not help you fight him anyway , then work your way around to elec , ice , fire , bomb and guts. YMMV.

Cutman goes down fast with Gutsman's weapon. There just isn't a whole lot of room for error.

Bomb -> Guts -> Cut -> Elec -> Ice -> Fire

:wall:
Ok so I actually beat the vagina off that cyclops, :applause:, but now on the second part I'm having a hard time fighting electric man ?! What the hell? Cutman was a breeze, but when I get to elec man he's just.. not dying. I'm shooting and he's losing like 1 bar per hit. I'm also having a hard time avoiding the electric..

...tips?!

That's basically what I meant before. Sure guts mans weapon will kill cut man in one or two hits , but he's not that hard without it , plus you only have those two shots to use on him anyway. Thus both bomb man and cut man make suitable starting points.

Electric man in wily's castle? Your using cut mans weapon on him right? He should go down pretty fast with that.

:whistle2:k..
I will try that next time.

What I'm NOT liking about this Mega Man anniversary thing is that.. you can't play more then 1 Mega Man at a time. :wall: Why is that?

You talking about the quick save? I'm pretty sure you can have a save data for each of the games (maybe a recorded data?) but you can only keep one quick save from the last megaman game you played. I can't remember for sure though , I could go back and check.

Man, you youngsters and your "select button" glitch to beat the Yellow Devil. When I played the Yellow Devil back in the day, and still to this very day, I have yet to use that glitch once. And I beat him. Bunch of crybabies you are.

I don't have the VC version of MM but I have been told it runs a lot better than the AC version.

Actually I tried that glitch and I must be stupid and couldn't get it.. so I beat that 1 eyed vagina the hard way

Also, why haven't you read my blog about Europe? :nottalking:

Because I'm at war with France. We all know I'm winning, but I haven't struck yet. I just keep them in fear constantly.

Finished Harvey Birdman Wii last night. (Meh.) Maybe now I'll play a point a click up more up my alley. I've heard Strongbadia is nice this time of year.

I beat Mega Man
I didn't use any of those silly nilly cheats either.

Time to start Mega Man 2!
I have to say, I'm getting pretty excited for Mega Man 9 now. I don't know what console to get it on, though.. :whistle2:k

Seriously. How do you know what to do? All you do is punch left and right and swoop your arms around?
No thanks. Unless someone says "ZOMG FUN!".. we'll see. I could see it potentially being fun.. but from the look of it, no thanks.

So far, Wow is winning..

I wonder, will I be hating myself when I move in tomorrow and something fuck-awesome came out and I get annoyed because my Wii will have no internets?

And by fuck awesome, I mean possibly Ys?
Well I don't have wireless now since my router refuses to work in the dorms so epic shit is going to come out now .
That makes three of us - they've got to manually register my Wii's MAC address for it to work. :bomb:

Judging from that, we should get something fucking AMAZING tomorrow.

With so many people with their Wii's not connected... we're getting fucking Super Mario RPG and Earthbound AND Shenmue III tomorrow.

YEAHH bitchez!

I will eat my own poop if that happens.

Is it notable that on the Nintendo channel, under the New titles section, there's an info page and video for Ghouls 'n Ghosts for the Sega Genesis? Is it also notable that it shows a release date of 8/27/2008 (Wednesday), instead of tomorrow's date? Just checking whether this is something recent or some old entry.

Helix, Ys I & II and Samurai Showdown 2. I should probably grab Ys eventually.

WiiWare

Helix? (Ghostfire Games, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points): Helix is one of the most innovative music-rhythm games ever designed for the Wii console. Use the Wii Remote? controller to do dozens of exciting moves, including punches, circles, back fists, hooks and more. Be mesmerized by the eye-popping background visuals, which pulse to the beat of the music. Enjoy incredible replay value with 26 songs to play and three difficulty levels. No buttons are required, so it's easy for anyone to pick up but difficult for even the best players to master.

Virtual Console

Ys Book I & II (TurboGrafx16 CD-ROM, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone-Mild Fantasy Violence, 800 Wii Points): Ys Book I & II chronicles the first adventures of Adol Christin, a young, red-haired swordsman on a quest to unlock the secrets of an ancient kingdom. As Adol, you search the island of Esteria, gathering clues to unravel the mystery of Ys. Fight monsters that lurk in caves and towers with physical or magical attacks, and use your brain to make your way through dangerous areas filled with traps. In Ys Book I & II, the first titles in the Ys series were put together as a single TurboGrafx CD-ROM. They awed players with their gripping story lines accompanied by fully orchestrated soundtracks, wonderful voice acting and amazing special effects. Don't miss out on your chance to experience this wonderful piece of gaming history.

SAMURAI SHODOWN 2 (NEOGEO, 1-2 players, Rated T for Teen-Blood, Language, Tobacco Reference, Violence, 900 Wii Points): First released in 1994, this fighting game follows 15 samurai in their individual quests. The rage system, which was popular in the first game, has been further enhanced. Not only does attack power rise when the gauge is full, but the player can also use a special technique that can break the opponent's weapon and force the opponent to fight unarmed. The game also allows for more movement techniques such as back-stepping, rushing forward and ducking, allowing for even more strategies. A fun and important detail of this game: One of the new characters, Cham Cham, was voiced by voice actress Reiko Chiba, an idol in the gaming community.

fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!!!!! I understand and respect that people love Ys, but it just isn't my game. Nintendo, fuck you. Give us Super Mario Role Playing Game!!!! Why do you hate me, I have been loyal for so long...

Do I want YS- a little bit.

Do I want SMRPG- Hell fucking yes, and it came out in Europe.

I am waiting till either Megaman 9 comes out OR SMRPG to pick up a game now. I did want to play YS but YS is not as important when SMRPG could come out any week now and I have 1000 points left on the system and don't have wireless except on weekends when I go home.

fuck fuck fuck you Nintendo.
Woo, Ys Eternal Book... Now to decide what shit to delete/move on my Wii to make room for it.
This makes me sick to my stomach when I have to say that to myself. :bomb: There's no reason we should have to do that!!!
Nothing for me yet again.
I swear this Super NES neglect is saddening. There's no excuse.
This. Ohhh this so much. There's a reason why SNES is considered one of, if not THE, greatest console of all times. Why is it being so mistreated?

They've released a rhythm game on WiiWare? It might be time to free up some space. If someone else tries out Helix, please post some impressions. I'm a bit worried about how it plays. The robot shows you the moves maybe a second or two before you do them, and you're in the middle of doing other moves at the time. It seems awkward, but I'm willing to give it a shot. If there was some sort of symbol on the move bar it might be better. And it sounds like all of the music is techno, so that dampens my enthusiasm too.

If nintendo had the vc go multiplayer over the internet games like SS 2 it would be worth buying. I'll stick with the original thanks.
