I bought State of Decay for full price and it was very much worth it

it made me forget about skyrim when i was playing it so 10 dollars is a steal in my opinion

even though it kinda sucks if they dont put the DLC cheaper though

For those unsure, I can definitely recommend Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate (it's still on sale as I'm writing this). I suck at fighting games, but there's so many difficulty settings to choose from that it's ideal for anyone. Tons of content, loads of lovely skins to unlock, many gamemodes. It's especially fun if you've got friends playing with you - I've got a friend who also bought it and we probably played like 60-70 matches already.

Oh, and for the achievement hunters: it's all pretty feasible. Some are timeconsuming (finishing the hundreds of steps of the tutorial, playing 100 matches online, etc.), but none are based on the difficulty you're playing at, and not many require actual proper skills at the game. 13$ for a game that come out in September with a still alive multiplayer community too - can't really go wrong with this one guys.
Only reason I'm not getting it is because I don't want to pay for live. Would rather get it for PS3, but it is a great price.

I'm confused. Are you mad at me or something? I was just making a suggestion for people. Maybe he knows how the sales are decided. It was just a thought.
What? No, merely saying he just doesn't respond to anything on twitter or his site unless it's him just reposting something you love about XBox. Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like I'm coming at you, just poking fun at how Major Nelson's twitter is constantly being bombarded by people attacking the product or making demands more than anything.

Lol, oh okay man, now that I reread it, I see what you're saying. I never really read his tweets, or watch anything with him, he creeps me out. Why in the hell is a unlikeable middle aged dude the PR guy for a company aimed towards a younger crowd?

I Don't find him creepy at all to be honest. Like I think he's trying his best to be a good face of the XBox brand, but with it you get the immature people that follow. You can see him also taking in the stress of being the face of XBox by watching his earliest videos and compare it to now, meaning that job has to suck. Also, to be fair, when the 360 first started there was alot of community people on the XBox brand that did videos and twitter and everything else. As the years went by Microsoft began firing each one until really all that's left is Major Nelson.

I should have most likely tried the demo but for $10 I bit on State of Decay. I have not spent much over this sale and it is on my "list".

I am on the fence with State of Decay. Anyone know the lowest price it's been across all platforms?
I think right around the $10 point. If you're gonna bite, i'd say it's well worth it - I am only hesitant because I have grabbed so much from the sale already, that I need honestly consider how much time I would put into it before the next round of sales comes around, and for me that's just not much.

I remember those videos, especially that cute redhead :3

I don't find him creepy either. He looks more like a dad trying to be cool. Silly, but respectable.

I'm pretty sure this is the cheapest. It might be the best zombie game I've ever played (Dead Rising 3 might have taken that spot though).

I still have backlogs from when they started selling the GoDs in bulk two years ago or so.

I like Major Nelson. He just seems like a normal guy. I like that he's a little older and lower-key than the usual pitchman who's trying to be all hyper and EXTREEEME. Anyone remember those embarrassing "All I want for Christmas is a PSP" dudes? Better Major Nelson than something like that.

Can someone please tell my why everyone keeps saying AC4 season pass is going to be on sale Monday? Where are they getting this information from?
This is what I've been wanting to know.

Also. Does ANYONE know if the Ass Creed 4 Pass works on X1ike Battlefield 4 and CoD?

I USED to hate him at first. But now that he's been cool and laid back over the last few years, I like him. He's still Major Nerdson to me though, lol.

Sometimes he can be a bit.....crazy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2lR_Mc8Xz8

(that one kind of sucks. can't find the better videos)

10-15 pages back or so someone found an image saying Trials on sale for the 28th and what looks to be Assassin's Creed IV season pass for sale as well on the 30th. The fact Trials was proven correct means ACIV season pass will be the case for the 30th.

State of Decay was fun, but the graphics could have been better. $10 is good but I'm waiting on something lower.

I liked How to Survive more than Zombie Apocalypse. It's like an overhead version of Dead Island meets Zombie Nation. I also like the funny instructional videos.

My hard drive is full.  None of the local stores have any old fat external hard drives more than 60gb.  Can anybody sell me on non-Microsoft branded hard drives?  I fear power issues/RRoD and I'm already aware that none of the off brand/generic drives allow emulation of original Xbox games.

Hoe would one transfer it? I don't have the game on X1 or 360. But I plan on getting it so grabbing yhr season pass on sale would be beneficial. So would I NEED a copy of the game now?
You just buy it on 360 then in the X1 marketplace it will be ready for you to install. I see no reason you would need a copy of the game now. I downloaded my COD Ghosts season pass on my X1 before I owned the game on X1. However you have a certain cutoff date you must download it on an X1 (March I believe) or it will no longer transfer. I'm really hoping that pic from many pages back was correct and the AC4 season pass is going on sale. I've got it on X1 and have been holding out on buying the season pass waiting for this sale.

If you don't want your Xbox banned, don't do it.

Is GS the best place to buy specific amount of MS dollars besides just putting my card on the marketplace? Want to buy Brothers, but not much else because I bought the One at launch and honestly just want to retire my 360 but can't. So yeah, just want to buy that one, want to continue to be upset about lack of TWAU and TWD on next-gens/having to commit to my 360 for TWD probably but I'll hold off on that for a while, and after tax I probably only need like $6-$7.

Unfortunately the way they're sold is in predetermined values. 5,10,15,20,25,50,and 100 as far as I know. Because of this, you cannot simply transfer $7-8 "real money" to Microsoft credits. Yeah, it's incredibly dumb, and in my opinion it's a broken system overall but it's a functioning one. I'd recommend grabbing the lowest value card that covers what ya need, and when it comes time to make another purchase, it'll apply the difference towards that item.

That said, GameStop gives you the code upon checkout, while Amazon emails it. Both nearly instant, so it's a matter of preference.

The local GS sold me a $3 code. They will sell $1-$100 codes. No tax here either.

You can format any hdd to FAT.

That's awesome. Must be a local thing, mine only offers prepaid cards.

They do actually say that using a third party HDD can result in bans, but I have never had a single issue with mine, nor has anyone I've personally spoken to.
I've had this same old random offbrand 120gb external drive I've been using for just in case items and a Staples brand flashdrive I use frequently and no directly related ban.

Boo State of Decay.  I won a code for it and still haven't redeemed it.  I guess it's time to pounce on the other weekly sale games I was on the fence about.

Oh and count me as one that would have bought Phantom Breaker Battlegrounds...

How to survive is 7.49, state of decay is now 9.99, zombie apocolypse is 2.49, as is zombie apocolypse: never die alone.
Is the 2nd Zombie Apocalypse game not any good? I remember hearing bad things.

I'd get State of Decay if it didn't have the Animal Crossing mechanic of everything still going even when you don't play it.

What happened?
I have funds on my MS account, but they charged my CC instead.
(And I never added my CC to xbox.)
Well first, if you got charged on your CC it was added to it at some point (maybe just for Gold). If you bought it on the website, you should have paid attention. If you bought it on console, and have funds, and confirmed that the selected payment method was "account" and it showed a balance on screen as well as the cost of the item, then contact Microsoft immediately and let them sort it out on their end.

how to survive, yay or nay?  ill probably pass it on at the current price anyway.  just hadnt heard much about it
