again they are part of the subscription not just a bonus, and you have no idea if others would pay for xbl for online or not, now that media apps are free I will not be renewing my sub

 
Who has played nba jam and nfl blitz . I saw it's only a few dollars. I'm thinking about getting it. I just did not want to be disappointed like what with the new r b I baseball.

Only get NFL Blitz if you want to play multiplayer since it's thin on solo content compared to NBA Jam: On Fire Edition.

Live got a $10 increase a few years back and is $60 now and really that pay increase was for NOTHING since they just made it 60 with no explanation why.

yea maybe a few years back (I think it's always been 60 since the 360 was out but whatever) but there wasn't a price increase when they introduced games with gold which was the point I was getting across. And there's been plenty of apps, dashboard updates and features added every month. At one point there wasn't even a party chat, live has made alot of improvements over the years.........

and I've never paid more than 35 for a year of live, there's constantly deals, especially on here ;)

 
Yeah, I think from 2011 - 2013 I paid $20 a year for Live (thanks, Target Halo Reach ad)

From 2013-2017 I paid probably around $15-20 a year average. (thanks Sears/Kmart clearances + Kinect Sports 2)

 My current XBL expiration date is 10/4/2017

oh ok but like I said I've never paid full price for live and again there was no increase when games with gold came out which is how this all started, arguing if games with gold are free games or not........I feel it is an added free bonus to the subscription but to each his own.

I Haven't paid for Gold in years now, but like pittsnoggle said, it use to be 50. Also apps are hardly a note worthy feature of having Gold as they can be found on other devices, if anything it's a negative considering how long Microsoft got away with charging people for using it with Gold just because they can. Though really, the subject is GWG and I just hate when people keep calling them free games. They're not, they're part of a service and Gold may have started as just a pass for playing multiplayer, it's expanded beyond that. Though the people bitching about GWG coming out next month they haven't even played and saying it sucks...yeah, those people I don't care for.

 
Commercials were running on TV and I wasn't paying too much attention to it, but my XB1 turned itself on.  I thought it was Rob Lowe saying "Hi" at the start of a DirecTV commercial that did it and wondered WTF.  Rewound the DVR and saw it was preceded by an Evolve commercial that ended with someone saying "Xbox One."  I had turned off that quick start option, but it somehow got re-enabled.

Can anyone that hasn't purchased Peggle 2 on XB1 and is currently Gold (non-trial) check the price of the Magical Masters Edition on the web site?  I'm Gold and bought the base game during the holiday sale and see $4.95 for the bundle.  Just wondering if anyone that hasn't bought it sees the $3.96 price that is shown on the EA sales page.

Someone had to bring up the netflix party app.. ugh.

Was so angry when they removed that! Never understood why!

To me GWG has to be a selling point on the 360 because more and more people are moving onto the PS4/XBox One. So they have to have decent selections for GWG for people to keep paying for XBox Live Gold *ESPECIALLY* if they move onto a PS4. With the XBox One/PS4 the games don't have to be amazing because people are most likely paying for the multiplayer portion anyways.

Thanks. Since they're giving different discounts for Silver and Gold members, I wasn't sure if something screwy might've been going on and there was a 3rd "Gold but already bought part of the bundle" price.

How is the Magical Masters Edition price displayed for Silver members on the web? Is the regular price struck through with the $6 sale price, or does it just show the $6 price as if that was the regular price? The Battlefield 4 Premium DLC is the only page I see that doesn't have a struck through price on the web.

1. Idarb looks totally up my alley for a game I would enjoy. I just wish you could play bigger online games.

2. I've been away from my xbone all week and haven't been able to keep up with news. Did they somehow reverse the free game of thrones season pass or are we good to go?

3. What specs do you think a PC would need to be able to stream xbone games? The way I look at it, if a tablet can do it almost any basic laptop should be able to.

Edit: 4th bonus thing: brothers is a great game for the 6 people who haven't bought it when it was on sale for super cheap numerous times. Great story that is super fast and easy to experience in under 5 hours. I have no skills whatsoever and it was fun and easy.

Just go to the Elgato website or a retailer's store page and look at the minimum specs. That's whatcha need. Streaming from a game that natively supports it on a tablet, and processing and then streaming captured video are not the same level of work hardware-wise.

When I go to Xbox.com and type I. Nba jam , two games show up. The regular and on fire edition.
Is the on fire the same as the regular but a download ?

No. The normal one is a full retail game that came out first, NBA Jam: On Fire is only available in digital that is more up to date than the retail version.

I haven't seen anyone else post, but I posted later in the day of the glitch that mine now showed to buy it for $20 in the store when it used to say installed and in the game itself it used to say purchased and now it says to buy it. It's still installed on my HDD but I'm pretty sure its dead/worthless since it does a dlc check whenever you start the game

Blitz is meh... not so much a good game as it's a nostalgia trip IMO. I played the demo and was unimpressed. Blitz has no aged well.

NBA Jam: OFE though is just a great game, period, and is fun for others to watch even. Lots of unlockables and playing time to be sunk into it. Were it not for Games With Gold swelling my library, I'd still be playing a lot of NBA Jam honestly.

 
Wish MS would pick up more steam with the XB1 GwG. PS+ has three highly regarded games for PS4 next month. This one title a month thing kinda sucks.

I have been sitting this month thinking I would not re-up my PS+ yet (two 1 year cards sitting in drawer) because I just do not have time to play all the games but now I am thinking I will to grab this month since I would like to play First Light? and then next month looks good. Need a PS4 though which is on the backburner right now. Actually would someone lend me a few million so I can just retire and work on this backlog?

 
Anybody here have the season pass for Trials Fusion on the Xbone? I do but when I went to download the DLC that just released it was trying to charge me $5. Not sure what's up with that...

Okay, enjoy your media box bro. For people that actually play video games, like myself, they would be purchasing xbl regardless of whether or not MS offered the free games. I think buying xbl for the games is worthless, since you're not going to get anything of real value. Of all the free games MS has given away for xbone, I have only played Max.

same here i went to twitter and let them kno and they said they were looking into it i even uninstalled the game lol glad its not only me going crazy

Yeah it's a known issue and redlynx is working with MS to resolve it.

I can't put my finger on what's different about cag. Different font? Smaller? I dunno but I like it.

That's the main thing a lot of us don't like so far. A lot of the other little tweaks are decent though.

I've only looked at it from my phone and the differences are minimal. Everything just looks smaller and more compact. Is the desktop version much different?

On topic: I picked up NFS:Rivals today and only played for a few minutes but it's pretty fun. I'm sure (hoping) things pick up a lot more after the tutorial.

I'll probably pick up NHL this week too, mainly just so I have a sports game that isn't Fifa.

I got it early on Twitter so I was farting a long time ago. Haven't touched the game much after the first week because of needing a bunch of controllers to really have fun.
