Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Burnout sounded cool, but I'm so sick of publishers calling up-rezzed ports 'remasters.' It just looks like the PC version from 10 years ago, running at 1080p.

Skyrim and Bioshock were remasters. Bioshock is almost the same age as Burnout Paradise, and they redid the textures for HD in the former. BP clearly didn't get the same kind of attention.

I’ve actially wanted to try Brave for fun (and some easy achievement points) since watching this video years ago. The girl is adorable.

https://youtu.be/f7tb9t0ijIU

Thanks for sharing the info. Looking forward to the new freebies.

So I got Microsoft to refund Monster Hunter, I just couldn't get into it. I think the next step Microsoft should take in becoming a full fledged media center is either have trials for every game or some kind of rental service where you could try the game and if you want to buy it, discount the rental fee from it.

Hey if anyone is a GameStop elite member they have a 4/$10 going online which comes out to $1.50 for games that are $4.99 or less. If you snag 8 it qualiffies for free shipping so 8/$12.
Anyways my point is Vanquish is there along with all Mass Effects, and a slew of games that are or will be backwards compatible......
$1.50, is my math off or are you getting an additional discount somewhere?

Pat on the back:

Finished my third game this year - Lego Star Wars the Force Awakens (in Jan finished Marlow Briggs and Deadfall Adventures). I've beaten more games this year than prob each of the last 5 years. This is also the first game I've completed 100% and unlocked all the Achievements in the past 8 years.

I've burned out on Lego games, just couldn't get past the first level in Pirates, but for some reason, the Lego Star Wars game never gets old. I would highly recommend it giving it a 9.5/10 only because there was no direction to get a handful of the gold bricks. I look forward to the Last Jedi if they make one.

Yeah I'm oddly intrigued and after doing a little research would probably go with this over The Sims when it comes to a change of pace style of game.
I just can't shake the mentality that I would essentially be playing a job simulator, and I tell myself I don't want to pretend to work when I'm not working.

And then I sit there think that I just want to spend 5 hours straight driving farm equipment

Trails of the Blood Dragon, Super Hot, Brave, Quantum Conundrum.

...That moment when you're excited that GWG features four games you don't own....but also don't like any of the games you're getting.

Oh hell, just watched the Burnout Paradise Remastered trailer. 4K, 60 FPS. I’m going to have to get it.

Might even go digital since it should be 10% off with EA Access.

Of course, I really should restrain myself and wait for it to hit the Vault. But being $36, I might splurge.

Thanks to Cornelius for the heads up on he Platinum hits version of Mafia II. I got one on Ebay shipped out of Canada. It's CIB; discs are in great shape, case is a little dirty, but some goo-gone should clean it up.

SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT.

Reminder about "Halo Wars 2" ... the physical disc of the "Ultimate" edition (in stores) only includes the Season Pass & HW1 for just XB1 (not Win10) ... and that Season Pass in the box doesn't include "Awakening" DLC either.  By purchasing the Complete Edition as a digital redemption (just $10 more than the digital barebones game), you'll get a dual XB1/Win10 license, the Season Pass, AND the Awakening DLC.

I've heard that the Lego Pirates game is on the lower end of the Lego games. To the point I may not even start it as I'd rather play Hobbit or Jurassic Park.

Hobbit was one of my least favorite. There was so many collectibles and crafting it seemed mind numbing. Pirates was fun but I played it when it came out so my opinion was before so many improvements to Lego games. I remember it being a lot shorter than Hobbit.

I thought about until I watched some gameplay vids. You’d have to be a real farmer to know what half the shit you need was. I was lost after a few minutes. Closed the video and decided never to buy Farming Simulator ever.

I think it’s the worst one by a lot. I’m a bit bummed I even started it, because it being a lego game I now feel compelled to 1k it :(

Yeah, common sense is kicking in for me too. The reality is that MLB The Show is my most anticipated and played game every year hands down, so while I love my XB1/S/X and all the games I already have for them, everything else is going to take a back seat to that in about a month. Well that and maybe Burnout Paradise.

The Game Pass tab has shown up in my Games/App menu, every game that isn't installed is listed there as a separate 'ready to install' list. It's really simple and intuitive, I like it.

Seems like this feature is slowly rolling out. I've had this for a week now and I'm not in the preview program.

The only thing I don't like about how they implemented this feature is that if you hide a game in the Game Pass tab, it also hides it from your Ready to Install list if it's a game you own. I cleaned up my GP list by hiding games I've already completed, games I've already tried, and games I have no intentions of playing.

I also wanted to hide the ones I already owned. Like why would I waste my GP subscription time to play something I already owned (via GwG, for example)? But I noticed that if I hide one of those games in GP, they also get hidden in my Ready to Install list. So every time I scan through for new GP games to try out, I have to check Google to make sure the game is not already a GwG.

Even if you don't play the multiplayer, you should 100% get Titanfall 2. The campaign is one of the best in an FPS. Effects and Cause blew my GD mind

Also all the achievements are single player if you're into that

When you're playing mlb the show do you play all nine innings and all 162 games or simulate a few? Thats a lot of hours invested if so.

It's been a couple of years since I played a full season straight through, but a few years ago they implemented a "quick counts" option that starts each at bat with a random count so games takes a lot less time. My weakness is the Road to the Show mode where I've carried over the same player since 2014 and am in the 2027 season I think right now. But you can set it to just play your at-bats which again significantly reduces the amount of time it takes.

Now that's dedication must be a great game for you to be in the 2027 season.Last mlb game I played was snes ken griffey jrs baseball man the time does fly.

Two JRPGS announced today for X1. Y's Origins (Falcom) and Shining Resonance (Sega).

I'm guessing between Phil's visit and the Monster Hunter sales they are feeling a bit frisky to get cheap ports done to the X1.

If Nintendo could make it happen they should totally reboot Ken Griffey Jr's baseball on the Switch. That would certainly make me break down and finally get one. But I think I'm going to start a new career with this game. I've broken every offensive record so I should see if anything cool happens when I retire and get elected to the Hall of Fame lol.

Surprised they aren’t porting the newer Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana over Origins. It’s also probably the most accessible Ys game (though they all are pretty accessible).

Pink Phantom Gnasher and Hammerburst will be available in tonight's Gears live stream, scheduled to begin at 6pm Eastern.

Year of the Dog Longshot is the daily login reward.

I think it was All Star Baseball 2000 on the N64 where I was playing through a full season and the game stopped tracking RBIs at 255 for one of my players. Ah, the storage limits of the old days ...

Will take any JRPGS coming to the Xbone...the genre is really lacking on this platform....wish they could get Atlus Stuff (Shin Megami Tensai Series including the Persona Games...not that battle arena stuff even though it wasn't that bad...)

Also need more "Tales of" Games (Namco)
