Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.

It's so funny that we are all so anxious for a summer sale that will have the same recycled pricing of the last 10 sales. My favorite part is when I see that one new thing on sale or that's finally at my "buy" price so I hurriedly purchase it and put it in my backlog and forget it about it until the next 10 sales when it's the same recycled price again...and then, of course, complain when it's free on GWG or Gamepass which i'm also paying for.
Summer Sale Simulator, coming to kickstarter soon. (tm)

Winning numbers are 46 and 15!

So evful you get 1st choice

and tribalnoise you get sloppy seconds.

Remember the caveat, let's hear something truly inspirational!
Dear Starmask,

No matter how self-serving or irrelevant your questions and complaints seem to others, you're bound to get an honest response once in a while. Never change!

That covers both quests? 3 hours a day 3 straight days is kinda steep requirements.

Any activity requirements? I got that best buy deal a while back, but only anticipate playing every now and then.
Sadly, as long as you play at least every once in a while you'll be more active than a good chunk of the clan. We'd love to have you!

AWP you get your code from last week?

and remember,

A day without a friend, is like a pot without a single drop of honey inside.
Thanks PatFortenbaugh,

These are always fun. I'll nab Energy Cycle.

As for the nice thing to say:

praxus07: I think I said something snarky to you once a long while back and then ignored you because I thought you only hated things. Of course I always hit see post anyway so I unignored you a while back. I saw you don't hate things as much as you really like the things you like. It's almost, inspirational or something. Plus you are sometimes right about when the sales suck and have kept me from making a rash purchase here or there.

I really need to play Resident Evil especially since I got that Super deluxe bundle last year when all RE was like $20...lol
You don’t really need to play re1 to enjoy re2. It will add to the game but not much.

Still you should play re1remake because it is a fantastic game and still looks great to this day

Seriously...I'm right there with you. Felt like a champion buying that and haven't played a single game yet :O

That Super Bundle is going to legitimately be down to $20 before we know it.

don't have time to look, but I think the only game that qualifies both Live & Game Pass quests is Elder Scrolls Online....maybe PayDay 2 if time counts while ur in the multiplayer menu or a something like Knight Squad if u plug in a 2nd controller & let them idle lol.

I'm guessing they just want some more time to pass from the E3 sale. My guess is by the end of July we'll see it. Here's hoping, after that PSN sale. Oof.

Excited to see EA Access, GWG, and Game Pass tabs. I've had the Game Pass tab appear before, but it always vanishes a few days later.
Yeah that PSN sale really got me good but I did just pick up the PS4, so far only nabbed exclusives and still have awhile to see if I have to go back for some other stuff. Your move MS

Well, since Summer doesn't end until September 22, there's still time. And actually, it wouldn't surprise me if MS does a big sale once the one on PSN ends.

Can't wait for date night tonight and oh...yeah, bullshit 4th of July on a Wednesday yesterday.

This is all I've been thinking today.

Me too. But also glad we’ve only got one more day until the weekend!

I wonder if the 4th falling on a Wednesday might be why we didn’t get the summer sale this week. Might have screwed with the MS vacation schedules. Bring it on next week then!

It doesn't seem all that good. I guess some off the reward bonuses for buying games are exclusive? If not the only real benefit seems to be an easy way to redeem points from your console.
Yup, has been in it's current form since the first time I launched it. But it'll be good to check in on it when the random good sale pops up and maybe snag a few extra points. Different games/movies get highlighted pretty regularly so their at least paying some attention to it.

YO! A BIG fuckING SHOUT OUT ONE OF MY FAV CAGS, IF NOT MY FAVORITE, Darthziggy. Locally called DZ cause dudes my boy. My bro has donated 2 game codes to everyone! I get so pumped when codes are donated. DZ sincerely from my heart to yours, Thank you. It's CAGs like you that make me excited to be part of this. Waiting for the what was supposed to be the independence day racing sale for forza that didn't happen lol. Oh well, I hope to get it before the $5 promo credit expires.

Is there a way to find my entire purchase history for Xbox Live games and such dating all the way to the launch of the Xbox 360? The Microsoft account order history I have only goes back to 2010 and even then, it's just showing when I purchased points to buy XBLA games, not the specific games I purchased. The new Groups feature has resurfaced the way that Microsoft kind of hides what you own through purchase or code redemption and what comes from Games with Gold, Game Pass, and EA Access that is temporarily owned in a way that I don't like.

and yeah Xbox 360 still doesn't work on there for me on that link, the only reliable way I've found is to go on an actual xbox 360 console and do download history, and that's still not great for demos and trials and what not and slow scrolling

Spamming F5 gave me a list of results once in the past but it doesn't seem to be working now.

Also keep in mind the browser list will not list certain games, especially those delisted because Outrun didn't show for me last time.

My 360 is kept around for buying 360 games with credit and checking my history, as well as for the rare non-BC game I want to play. But It's been years since I played a non-BC game so I just wait for BC at this point.

Edit: just clicked refresh a million times then let it go... it worked. no idea why

Yeah can't get it to work. I did an inventory this summer and even delisted stuff still showed up if you choose "download history" on an Xbox 360 don't choose "purchase history" letting it scroll down for 5 minutes or so I can still install Cyberball 2072, Smash TV, and Mortal Kombat II and they've been delisted for years. A lot of demos and stuff I didn't actually buy are listed as "Content not available" but if you bought it you can still get it off download history. I think the only exception is the ill-fated Xbox attempt at doing an Avatar arcade, you can still download the gamepaks but nothing works. Sucks cause that's the only time I've been aware of that Konami's Super Basketball has been released anywhere beside an actual Arcade cabinet.

The Kill la Kill game has an actual trailer now. I'm guessing it's pretty early since they chose a weird location for a trailer, definitely should be Honnoji Academy if they're showing Ryuko and Satsuki fighting like this. It looks like it will be good if you like the show but probably have the same basic combat that gets old fairly fast that many shonen anime games have. Playable at EVO.
Ps4 and Steam only :(

Probably NSFW

Looks like standard 3D anime brawler to me.

Looks superb, thought. I guess arc is out to corner the quality anime games market.
The animations don't look smooth, especially the clash at the end of it. It's too stiff and canned, which is the complete opposite of the fight scenes in the anime. They got lots of time to polish it though.

I'm looking more for a list of actual purchases like a history of receipts for things I own. That just tells me the games tied to my account and that includes GWG games that I don't actually own.
https://live.xbox.com/en-US/Download/History

That used to show your 360 downloads in order of purchase, but now it just redirects to My Games.

https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders?fref=home.card.payment-and-billing

This one only shows items you paid cash money or redeemed a code for, but nothing purchased with credit. Well, it does show purchases made with credit for gifts, so I suppose you could gift yourself purchases from now on to keep it tracked there.

Thanks, but neither of those really do it for me. The first just seems to show all games with no way to really tell which ones I own or got via GWG. The second only goes back to 2010 and even then, it just tells me when I bought points to buy XBLA games, not the actual items purchase. I'll have to turn on my Xbox 360 and see what it has for a purchase history on there.

I don't know about that, this is only their second licensed anime game and they're just publishing it. Bandai Namco is probably the top anime game maker if only because they have Shonen Jump and Gundam rights and make a ton of stuff, good and bad.

The only other major company that gets decent western releases is Koei Tecmo, all of which are by Omega Force with virtually the same gameplay, except when they had to move a bit outside of their box with Attack on Titan.

I looked back quite a few pages and didn't see it: neogames on Ebay is selling 12 months of gold for 43.99. Link Looks like they mail the cards out.

Just discovered Amazon has been charging me for a Music Unlimited subscription since January, for a total of $47.94. Got them to reimburse the entire thing, I never subscribed or used it. So maybe check your credit cards?

Also, Assault Android Cactus is good, dumb fun.

Just a heads up if anyone is still thinking about picking up this years TLC TVs. They should be on sale tomorrow only 10% off at Amazon and BestBuy as well as other retailers.

https://www.cnet.com/news/save-ten-percent-on-4k-tcl-roku-tvs-this-saturday/
That’s really surprising. Thought they were already low on stock.

Also just tried the Shining Resonance Refrain demo. Not bad. Pretty standard action JRPG but the combat is fun. Since it’s sort of a “budget” title, tempted to pick it up to support more JRPGs on the One.
