Capcom vs. SNK just gets brought up alot because arguably it's the best crossover title Capcom has done. That and seems the toughest to rerelease because of SNK not giving permission to use those characters.
Yeah, people need to remember that Capcom would have to get SNK's permission again to use their characters for a re-release, I assume the same way they had to get Marvel's permission to use their characters for the Marvel fighting games on XBLA/PSN. Granted, it'd be awesome if this happened, but it's up to SNK.
Ya know...I was just looking through the arcade releases from the past year or so, and there are SO many games that I've been waiting on sales on. This is the basic list I've got:

Sonic 4: Episode II (too new...won't hold it against them yet)
Trials Evo (too new...won't hold it against them yet)
Diabolical Pitch
South Park: Tenorman's Revenge
I Am Alive
Alan Wake's American Nightmare
The Simpson's Arcade Game
Amy
NFL Blitz
Apples to Apples
Scene It? Movie Night
War of the Worlds
MLB Bobblehead Pros
Dead Block
Deadliest Warrior Legends
Backbreaker Vengeance

All these damn games that have never seen a sale (plus others that I'm sure many of you have been waiting on) and yet we see the same rehashed deals over and over again. It's funny, once I go a little further past those games, it seems like almost every game has been on sale. Is it just me or are sales on XBLA games not as common as they used to be?
i love blitz, but i wouldn't particularly recommend buying it now (or whenever it goes on sale eventually). It's the kind of game that's only fun in multiplayer, so if you have local people to play with that's fine, but as far as playing online, it was a blast the first two months it was out, but now the online scene is sort of lame, it's hard to find matches at lots of times and beyond that most of the online players are experts by now, i can hang with people but that's only because i played dozens and dozens of games when it came out. i imagine anyone getting into the game now or in the future would just get frustrated and not really have a fun time playing online.

that kind of competitive multiplayer game is something you need to buy when it comes out if you really want to enjoy the game to its fullest, i wouldn't enjoy it if i just bought it today. but if you have no intention of playing online then go ahead, just a heads up. i like these daily deals but i wish they were listed ahead of time. i don't want to check this thread/xbox every single day, but i love GOD when they aren't an extreme ripoff (which is what all the standard prices are sans a few like EDF2017, NFS most wanted, jurassic park, that's p much all i can come up with) so i guess ill have to. but i hope this continues indefinitely for sure, they still aren't 'good' prices but if i can get a game for one hours worth of work then id rather have a digi copy then something filling up an extra box when i move

So happy about the NiGHTS news! And that Capcom collection isn't bad either.
I don't know if this question has been answered, but are there any licensing issues out there that are preventing Sega from rereleasing Panzer Dragoon Saga?
They say SEGA lost the source code to Panzer Dragoon Saga, which has to be the greatest gaming blunder ever, from an artistic standpoint. Such a wonderful game that deserves to be enjoyed by modern audiences.
Interesting list.
LOL @ Zombie Driver. If that game holds anyone interest for more than 20 minutes then they really need to question the contents of their Xbox software library.
Hush, you. Zombie Driver has tons of fans in the Steam thread. It's a simplistic game, but surprisingly addictive and fun. Hell, I actually beat it twice, which I virtually never do with games.

xbldb just found Darksiders at $13 (1040 msp). It's showing at full price ($20) on xbox.com right now so either xbldb is broken (unlikely) or maybe it dropped briefly and went back up. Tomorrow's GoD deal perhaps?

Wasn't South Park: Tenorman's Revenge just on sale last week through the new "Sales and Specials" app? Or am I just remembering wrong?
Wasn't South Park: Tenorman's Revenge just on sale last week through the new "Sales and Specials" app? Or am I just remembering wrong?
I think that was the tower defense game, not the new one.
I think that was the tower defense game, not the new one.
Shit you're right. I forgot that Tenorman's Revenge was the second one released on XBL.

I own some of those, here are my recommendations:

Trials Evo -- Tons of content. Well worth full price

The Simpson's Arcade Game -- It's nowhere near as fun as you remember. Worse than Xmen and TMNT. Skip it.

NFL Blitz -- Online multiplayer community is dead. Single player modes suck. Buy only if you have people to play against locally, because it is fun to play with people in person.

MLB Bobblehead Pros -- Awesome gameplay and the season mode is real fun. You will need friends though to play multiplayer since online is a ghost town.

Backbreaker Vengeance -- Very unique game with great physics and a lot of challenge. Also good in multiplayer, though you'll need friends to play with you.
Nobody used the SNK characters anyway. Just release it as Capcom V Capcom
Lies.

Haohmaru, Rock and Terry are some of my favorite guys.
Alright. This seems nice nd all, but in the website I found out about this release, people kept bringing up capcom vs SNK. See Im not yound, but im not too old so I dont recall much of those games.
CvSNK2 = best crossover fighter of all time. Great roster, a color editor, and all the different -isms added gameplay variety.

Ooh, NiGHTS is coming back? I'm one of the five people who liked the Wii version (really, it was pretty good if you got over the Sonic Adventure 2 syndrome of only half of the game being amazing), so I've been meaning to play the original.

SNK is not in a position were they can afford to turn down potential income from licensing. They're pretty much making ends meet thanks to the modest success of KOF XIII & continual re-releases of their older games. If would seem like it would primarily be Capcom's call at this point.

I enjoyed the first Trials, but I'm not a fiend for that kind of gameplay, so I can wait for a sale (as I did with the first game). Really, I'm more confident in that game getting a sale than some of the others I mentioned. Honestly, why Alan Wake hasn't had a sale yet is almost inexcusable. A game like Dead Block is another one I would have expected a sale on by now. And neither I Am Alive nor Amy did very well, so you'd think they'd want to boost their numbers a bit.

For the others, regardless of whether or not they're "good games", a sale would at least get people thinking about them again. We all have those games that we say "I wouldn't buy that at 800 points...but at 400, I'd be curious enough." That's basically how I feel about War of the Worlds and a few of the others. My free time is limited and my backlog is big enough that I don't need any of these games at full price. I was just surprised at how big my "eventually list" had gotten. It's just kinda staggering when you look at the games that have never been on sale, and then consider all the rehashes we get.

Hello fellow Nashvillian! (Or would you rather be a Nash-Villain?) Too bad you weren't chillin' at my dope-ass pad when I played the demo for Amy, 'cause you would've noticed that shit is TERRIBLE. I don't think you want to buy it. I mean, if you enjoyed the demo, I'm happy for you, but as soon as I saw that name on your list I felt the need to publish an emergency response.

i am alive is selling extremely well on psn, i imagine it is on xbla too

amy was among the top psn downloads too

Haha, me too dude. I'm not saying that I thought the gameplay was amazing or anything, but I found it fun and I enjoyed the "feel" of the Nights world if that makes sense. And the music. I'm glad that I'll get to play the original now.

Tenorman's Revenge, Amy, Dead Block, The War of the Worlds? I doubt more than 3 people are interested in these. Probably that's why MS didn't bother with them.

Don't expect Trials EVO to go on sale before the end of the year. The game sales really good.

Its was a THQ sale when they had apples to apples on sale it was a couple months ago..

Where do you go to download both mw3 map packs because when I go to the Deal of the Week section then click on the map packs its a really small kilobytes download. What are the steps I need to take?

Download that 108 KB, then load up the game. Goto mulitpayer and goto to store, from there it will say dowload all maps that are available. The one's in yellow are the maps you can download.

Terminal from MW2 is going to be released for free on July 18.

Walking Dead Episode 3 has a August Release Date.
Good price. Is it available new on disc for less anywhere at the moment?
BB, with a preorder of darksiders 2, $10. Thing is, finding a store with a copy of it. Its alos $5 used at bb, but still, the promblem lies in finding a copy.

Used at BBY is available for $5 and available for shipping this morning. It goes in and out of stock fast though. Combined with B2G1 you can get a few cheap games for $10.

Dammit. So I guess the episode per month is thrown out the window?

Thanks fellas. Don't usually buy used, but can't resist the price.

Well I'm one of those 3 people interested in Dead Block...in fact it's the top game on my list to get on sale. Love the whole Night of the living dead theme and BLOPS zombie mode is just too hard for me.
Just saw the video for Darksiders. Does this have a Devil May Cry feel to it for gameplay?
No, it's more like God of War combat in a Legend of Zelda-style game.
Just saw the video for Darksiders. Does this have a Devil May Cry feel to it for gameplay?
Game play is very Zelda-ish. Nothing like DMC.

This is a little off topic, but is anyone else having problems connecting to xbox live?

Mines down and when going to xbox.com for support it says the support site doesn't exit, xbox.com itself errors says the glitch shouldn't happen.

Yes, its down. Xboxlive support on twitter can't just say YES WE'RE DOWN they're just telling everyone twitter its their routers for some reason
If the games didn't cost as much as current system games that would be awesome, but all the good ones are $30 & up so no thanks, I'll just wait for ports.
The good thing about Saturn games is you can buy them & sell them for usually about what you paid, so while there's a slight risk on that end, the amount of solid games makes it worth it.

Saturns can be had for about $30-50 used if you look around.

Game that people need to play for it/Sega needs to put on XBLA

Dragon Force
Magic Knight Rayearth
Panzer D. Saga & PD I&II
Shining Force 3 (all 3 parts!!)
Psychic Killer Taromaru
Astral
Mr Bones
Policenauts
Shining Holy Ark
Legend of Oasis

On topic, I will seriously consider getting that Marvel/Capcom collection, although I DO wish they had that original X-men fighting game in there.

does anyone have the escalation pack for Call of Duty Black Ops? I'm new to this zombie mode. Can you kill the director or are you just supposed to avoid him while killing everyone else?

Thanks to all of you talking about Dead Block. The game was never on my radar, but I checked out the trial and am impressed. Not 800 points impressed, but I will definitely pick it up when/if it goes on sale.

You can but it is difficult and takes A LOT of ammo. Plus he just shows back up the next round anyways.
Mr Bones
Seriously?
I only have 4 games for my Saturn, that is one of them. ;)
The other 3 are: Nights, Virtua Fighter (don't remember which one) and Panzer Dragoon Saga.

MR. BONES!!!!! I loved this game as a kid and would love to get a chance to play it again without buying a Saturn and trying to track it down. The fact that Nights is coming out gives me hope for some more Saturn ports. Dragon Force too please!!!!

Well, 3 people in this thread have said that they're waiting on a sale on Dead Block...so you must be exactly right. Come on, guy. I freaking acknowledged that not all of them were great games...but that's kind of the point of a sale. The first Deadliest Warrior game was discounted to what? 200 points? And everybody and their cousin bought it. Same thing with X-Men. It's revenue that would not be there otherwise. Amy is a bad game...so what? For 400 points or less...the concept intrigues me enough that I might give it a whirl.
I forget when, but Apples to Apples was on sale at some point a few months ago.
Unless I'm looking at something wrong, it's not showing up on XBLDB as having a price drop.
they just announced a walking dead fps game. so looks like there will plenty of walking dead for us all
It is based on darryl and merle which is pretty cool hopefully it wont be cod with zombies
