hey guys i bought the batman AC on GoD and it offers you the catwoman dlc for free , its a steal at this price with the dlc, plus its the first GoD ive bought, im so happy with this game, there is no lag running off the Hard drive, its a really sweet deal.
The GOTY disc version can also be installed to the HDD ... and it's only $29.99 @ GameStop between Tues, Oct 24th - Mon, Oct. 30th. Don't say the OP didn't warn you!

Otherwise, if you wanted a great "1st GoD purchase", then "Crysis" would've been better @ only $9.99 / 800pts a couple of weeks back. Otherwise I'll hint it's VERY to find download codes for "Crysis 2", "Halo Reach", or "GunStringer" for $10-$15 each on eBay or CAG's own trading thread. Canadians also have access to downloadable "Gears of War 2", "Halo Wars", and "Alan Wake", so those are out there if you look hard enough.
So who's excited for Artorias of the Abyss today, and Guilty Gear Wednesday?
I'm really excited about Artorias of the Abyss. I was going to order Prepare to Die edition, but turns out the console version do not include the cool 150 pages artbook, poster and post cards, which were in PC one, So yeah, will download the dlc then.
Looks like Resident Evil 4 is 800 points like I had hoped according to the dashboard.
awesomeeee

Hell yeah. Re4 and Ugly AMericans for 1200 points, SOLD! ALan Wake AN is also 600 points btw. Doesnt look like the other things listed are sale items, but we'll find out later.

It shows RE4, Dead Rising 2, Alan Wake: American Nightmare, and Ugly Americans on the 50% off screen ("Tricks and Treats").

Then under the next tab ("Grave Arcade"), it shows I Am Alive, Deadlight, Castlevania HD, Haunt, All Zombies Must Die, DR2: Case Zero, and Zombie Apocalypse: NDA. I'm not sure if those will be discounted (hope so!) or if they're just featured as part of the "here's some scary stuff" list since there are other tabs as well for Games on Demand, Add-Ons, Video, and Avatar Items.

I really hope everything on the list is on sale, rather than just the select few. I'm very happy about RE4, of course, but the rest is stuff that most people already have (especially since Alan Wake: AN was just on sale a couple of weeks ago).
Metacritic 45 :cold:
Eh, worry less about numbers and more whether you like that type of game or not. There aren't too many 4-player co-op twin-stick shooters with easy Achievements and a free Avatar Award (demon baby prop) out there. Fans of the show will probably enjoy it since it has exclusive animation and a decent amount of humor.
RE4 is now $9.99/800MSP. I had to go into the "Purchase" screen to get it to refresh, but there it is!
Purchased. Was kind of bummed when I missed out on the pre-order/1st week deal that PS+ had when it first came out last year, but this more than makes up for that. Now I can finally see what I've been missing out on all these years.

RE4 is finally 800 MSP on Xbox.com, and the prices for Ugly Americans, Dead Rising 2 ($15/1200 Microsoft Points) & the Bioshock DotW stuff is also updated.

Just waiting on Alan Wake: AN to update, unless they're putting more on sale. Which is doubtful considering the format of the "sale" last year and the fact that the "Grave Arcade" list is separate from the Tricks & Treats list (which already has TWO arcade titles in it). Also, there's no way Telltale would approve any of the Walking Dead episodes being on sale with the complete disk release coming out right around the corner, since those already have a high chance of bombing in sales.

So yeah, 2 3 GoD sales & 2 XBLA sales, bleh. No wonder they're being sneaky and including Bioshock 1 & 2 in the dashboard tab. I mean I'm glad RE4 & Ugly Americans are finally seeing a sale, but it would have been nice to have some repeats from last year at least, like Castlevania or something, or put the DR2 DLC on sale. Guess Microsoft burnt itself out with all the good sales the past few weeks.

The worst part we won't have any new deals 'till THURSDAY next week either.

Personally, my wallet needed a break this week anyways, just gonna pick up RE4 & Ugly Americans and call it a day. DR2's disk can be picked up around that price since Off the Record came out. Kinda wish I had waited on buying Alan Wake: AN during the Back 2 School sale (would have gotten something else at the time) if a sale is going to be this likely for it (which is surprising, guess it didn't sell well), but at least it's the same sale price as of right now.

I'm hoping that my Metro 2033 purchase combined with my RE4 purchase and possibly Darksiders, will put me at the 2000 point mark. Does anyone know if Metro 2033 or Darksiders was confirmed for the promotion?

Where did you hear / read that?
Where did you hear / read that?
Well, according to Major Nelson, this DotW & the Shocktober stuff's last day of sales is the 31st (Halloween) which is a WEDNESDAY. So unless they're going to run an extra DotW or something, it seems that's the case, yes? If the DotW ended on Monday as it normally does, I would just assume the Shocktober sale was extra long.

Copypasta from Majornelson.com -> Bioshock 23-Oct To 31-Oct
Bioshock 1 Varies By Region
Bioshock 2 Varies By Region
Minerva’s Den 400 (50% Off)
The Protector Trials 200 (50% Off)
Rapture Metro 400 (50% Off)
Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack 200 (50% Off)

Given that Bioshock is somewhat of a horror/sci-fi game (and the fact that it's in the Shocktober tab) this makes sense. I will say that since the Kinect Central sale this week ends on Monday as usual, there's a chance that a new Kinect title may be on sale as of next Tuesday.

Edit: Leedmees just had its price updated, so now we're just waiting for XBLDB to update to see if anything extra was discounted (unlikely).

@Post below, if the dash doesn't work, try buying it from the website. Which you may even be able to do off of the Internet Explorer app on the actual Xbox. Ironic?

You know, if they were going to mostly put GoD titles on demand, they could have at least put the L4D ones on sale since both of them were finally released as GoDs a month or two back, which is 3 years after the games came out on disk, lol.

Edit 2: Got bored waiting on Spylon's site to update so I started looking at the prices for the games in the Dead Arcade & Eerie Add-ons section. All full-price. I mean the fact that Dawnguard's in the list is a dead giveaway as well, Bethesda would never allow such a popular (and expensive) add-on to go on sale so soon.

For those of you who are struggling to hit that 2000 MSP mark for the 300 MSP back, don't forget that Sleeping Dogs' first meaty add-on, Nightmare in North Point, comes out on the 30th (next Tuesday) for 800 MSP, and considering the whole thing is horror-themed, it may qualify. It also has 125 GS of achievements (that were just posted to X360Achievements.org).

Looks like another lackluster Shocktober. I already have Bioshock 1 and 2 on disc and bought Alan Wake AN on sale last time. The only temptation is RE4 which I've always wanted to play but I want to get all the RE games on PS3 eventually. Hmmm...

I know it's been on sale about 6 times, but if there is anyone who enjoyed Bioshock who still hasn't played Minerva's Den, let me remind you that it is AWESOME. Probably the best single-player DLC add-on I've ever played. Highest recommendation.

S&S+ deals:

I hate to buy stuff from this app, but i'm interested in Gripshift...Hmm

Edit: OH. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record is ALSO half-off. It's $20/1600 MSP now.
Off the Record has been $20 on GoD for some time now. A buddy and I both bought it and beat it together back in August, and it was that price then. Best Dead Rising game, by far.

Oh, my bad. I'll edit the post. Doesn't make any sense to have the DR2 GoD @ $30 then, but whatever, lol. I was just guessing because Spylon's site is really behind today for some reason.

http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_rewards_support/f/29/t/361429.aspx

That has to be the worst list I've ever seen, how is Metro 2033 not on there?

So I'll only be 800 (maybe 1200, I forget when All Zombies Must Die! was on sale) of the way there to the 2000? Now I really wish I had waited on getting Alan Wake: AN.

I don't think I'm gonna be able to resist RE4 at $10. fuck. After the Saints Row 3 Season Pass, Artorias of the Abyss, Guilty Gear, and RE4, I'll be spending $50 on MSP this week alone. ;_;

wish redeem codes for resident evil counted for the october rewards promo. i was in a hurry at trying to get them from here that i could of waited.

Thanks for that Paul. I know it got pretty bad reviews, but I'm still pretty interested because of a lot of the things you mentioned. I'll be reading your review here in a few minutes. Nice to see it on sale, it's been out so long I was starting to think it was never gonna drop.
S&S+ deals:

- Geon 400 MSP (1/2 off)
- Ikaruga 400 MSP (1/2 off)
Thanks for posting these. I have actually never heard of Gripshift or Geon, so I'll look them up. As for Ikaruga, I could have sworn I bought it when it was 30% off a couple months ago, but I looked at my download and billing history and it's not there. Works out great because now I'll save 2 more bucks.

Minerva's Den is definitely excellent, I really enjoyed it as well! I'd say Undead Nightmare is my all time favorite DLC add-on, but Minerva's Den is way up there on my list.
wish redeem codes for resident evil counted for the october rewards promo. i was in a hurry at trying to get them from here that i could of waited.
Yeah, I stupidly traded for an RE4 code from a CAG for $12 just a couple weeks ago. Only out a couple bucks there, but with Halloween being so close I should have waited.

Apparently Geon and Gripshift are both action-puzzle games, which is a favorite genre of mine, and they both reviewed fairly well.

I really love when they put the really old XBLA games on sale, it feels like one last chance to pick up a decent game at a good price. I'll probably be buying everything from the S&S App this week, assuming both demos are ok. Nice job S&S app! :applause:

Well I batcaved in at the last minute and bought the Arkham Bundle anyway. So the weekly streak continued again this week after all (this is what the 5th or 6th week in a row of good stuff that I ended up buying something from?). From the sound of it I might get Geon and Gripshift this week as well. Don't know anything about them but I'll check them out when I get home tonight. I got excited when I saw Deadlight on the list but it's probably just being advertised with no actual discount. I hated when they did that last year...

Does anyone know if RE4HD is missing any of the extras that were included on the PS2 version of the game?

edit:

Never mind... this claims all the extras are included.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/xbox360/625523-resident-evil-4-hd/answers

Im a die hard RE fan... because of 4 i only keep up with the storyline now, maybe this will help me jump back into the series. Honestly though, RE has been letting me down for a while.

I wouldnt mind CVX to go on sale, but i heard its no where near as polished as 4HD is.

Ikaruga for 400 is awesome too, i cant believe im gonna spend money on that game again, i wouldnt bite at 600 a few months back, but i got 5 on ikaruga anytime, takes more than 5 bucks worth of quarters to beat it if youre rusty

RE4 HD includes all of the PS2 bonus content - Assignment Ada, Separate Ways, bonus weapons and costumes. :)

I'm not very impressed with this weeks deals..but that might be because I already own RE4 (bought it Day 1 and haven't started it yet..same for Veronica ugh)

Neither the sales on the S&S+ are appealing...

I would be all over RE4 if I didn't just get it from RE6 Archives. Might bite on Bioshock, even though I still have Crysis, Metro 2033, and YDKJ that I haven't really played yet...

RE4 is just a port of the gamecube version its not like its polished as well.

CVX is fun if you like the older style RE games.

RE4!: I have never been more excited about buying a last-gen game that I currently own and have already beaten. Perfect Dark came close but I was highly disappointed after buying it seeing the realization that I'm too old for FPS competitive multiplayer.

not polished well? What are you smoking? Isnt RE4HD supposed to be considered an "HD Port done right?"
