XBLA - Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 - 400pts

I agree with the dpad, I can't play kabal at all cuz all my back forward moves NEVER work. =(

I really hate how the leaderboards are, like how is a guy who is 14-19 ranked higher then me who is 300-37?

Well for me, the complaint isn't so much with the 360 d-pad as it is with d-pad's in general. It's hard as hell for me to pick this game back up after 10 years and try to relearn the moves with a d-pad.

Joysticks ftw.
 
My main complaint is connection issues as well as my records not being saved. I played a bunch of games last night whenever I could get a connection, But my records never updated.

It always says 6 points 3W 2L. I know I won more and lost more than that.
 
yea im actually looking into getting a different controller for this game.. i never had this prob on snes,64, or even psx

any recommendations for a 3rd party controller?

there are definitely some weird bugs, think this got released early with known bugs, and I hope they update it soon.

Ever been in a multi-player game and just kicked back to the player match screen in mid fight?

I have heard the Hori 360 controller has an excellent D-pad. You would have to import it for around $40. It also has turbo buttons. I am thinking of picking that one up.

Yeah I feel like I suck too.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like the time alloted to do a fatality seems shorter than it was in the arcade?

And man it's frustrating pulling those fatalities off with the d-pad that quickly.
 
yea i never knew how bad the dpad was till playing this... it would be awesome if the vison cam worked for this. .imagine seeing you oppenents face getting wooped or something...

and ill definitely will have to look into that controller... is there anything stateside worth checking out
 
I've found the analog stick is good for fatalities and certain special moves.
 
Playing this more, I am liking this game more than I ever did

I was 1-9 on Saturday compared to about 10-4 on Sunday... woohoo, that means I'll go 21-0 today

i'm ranked #4 on the ranked leaderboard and it seems i get more points when i lose to people above me than when i beat them

The DOA joystick is the only thing I can think of stateside.

I love when bosses totally break all the rules to a game. I forgot how cheap the MK bosses were.

I used the jump and low kick strategy, but I got really lucky and beat him in one try... I barely missed his tail whip which would have got me

I'm getting in alot of work on Scorpion combos, at least.

That was fucking awesome, he punched me, teleported, grabbed me as I was getting up, punched me, and just repeated it until I was dead.

Ugh, finally, womped his ass with a flawless.
 
Shao Khan was easy as hell... just spammed Scorpion's spear and I beat him on my first try.

It's official, I suck, because Noob Saibot owned me.

I beat him in round 2, and almost won round 3 against Noob. I just don't wanna fucking play through single player again to try and fight him for the achievement. Argh!
 
Sorry Trakan, I had my notices turned off because I was watching a movie before, and now I gotta get to school... we'll play tonight sometime when I get back, definitely, I'll be back on around 10 pm.

Do you have 2 controllers? Go through an 8 player tourney and pick prize 4 again and repeat til you beat him... although I never will

Are you getting gears of war? You can return all the payback on me that way cuz im terrible at pretty much anything else besides fighting games :p
 
Um...is anyone else having trouble playing 2 players? I have the second controller push start and it just brings up the live blade and wants me to sign in.

Smoke has got a real easy combo I figured out that does 40% damage, and all you have to do is land the first hit and the opponent is stunned for the rest.

Don't count on MK II, apparently MS only wants one version of a series on the Marketplace.

if you wanna be ghetto with smoke and you hit a teleport just do jump kick, air throw

does a lot of damage and requires no skill
