God damn I finally decided to break down and buy map pack 3 and looks what happens the map pack bundle goes on sale.

Thought of the Day: I find it ironic that people use the phrase "internet is serious business" in a sarcastic sense, when in fact, it is a pretty serious business. This board is a business and CheapyD is relatively serious about it. Facebook is a pretty serious business, pulling in millions of dollars, that's pretty serious. I'm sure there's other examples.

i will be done with a few tests and midterms and a research paper by then. After that, perfect dark time!

they couldn't pick a better day to release it :D
 
Horrible, don't tell me they've moved from bad to worse: from discounting old as hell DLC and arcade games to overpriced avatar marketplace content.
 
Most of them are MSRP. Midnight Club LA is $30 and sells elsewhere from $25-$30 new. I thought Bioshock was $20. I know that Mass Effect is $20 which I think is actually cheaper than retail. Fallout 3 just released for $30, I believe that's what it is in retail.

I really like the Games On Demand idea.

I've bought one game and will likely get another, since I have points. I can say my purchase of Midnight Club was a good one and I do enjoy the game; however, I don't like that I can't trade it in because at first I didn't even think I liked it. Another thing is I wanted to play the game right away late at night, but it took a very long time to download. (over an hour) One more bad thing is that I only have a 60gb HDD which at the time was the biggest one. I now have 6gb's off the limited space on my HDD from videos and game installs. If I delete that game, it will take forever to re-download.

Things I like is being able to launch it without playing or changing a disc. Competitive pricing. I somehow like that make you keep the game for the price you pay.

I don't know how it is. All I've of the seen of the WaW DLC is my brother playing one of the map packs. The included Nazi Zombie level, Der Riese (which, may I add, oddly resembles my name), looked and played way cooler than the one default level, Nacht der Untoten.
But, yeah, I do plan to buy it. I have three 1600 point cards, so I might as well. If I ever wanted to complete all the achievements for this game one day, I'll have the map packs to do it. Plus, my friend who plays WaW on my account all the time only plays Nazi Zombies, so he'll be happy to have three more maps.
 
Rawr...I want the zombie maps but have zero desire for the other maps. Why can't they just be sensible & make a zombie only map pack?

Oh, wait...that would make sense and the game is from Activision. Never mind...:bomb:

The Xbox original? The one that doesn't have the extra expansion pack of Fable Lost Chapters???

..and for $10 too! The game is going for $1 to $5 on ebay for a complete version of the game fyi.
 
Got a lot of nerve putting an XBox Originals game on DOTW when they're shutting the original servers down anytime now. Whether the game's got Live support or not, the fact that MS has abandoned the original box and now expect us to buy into it is baffling. If you really want it, go get a hard copy at GS or eBay for under $5. Waste of a week. Just my two cents...
 
Like I said before. With the Block Party going on, MS wants you to spend all your points on the new XBLA releases. They want to be able to say, if you put your game in our ____ promotion it will represent ___% of total sales versus this week.

I would be really pissed if the code was one time use.
 
If you got a eBay account I would still go the disc route for the original XBox games.

Max Payne 2 can be had for under $5 shipped for a complete copy. Hell, a brand new sealed copy just went for $5ish shipped.

San Andreas goes for a bit more, but with some looking you can still get it for under $10 shipped.

Fable 1 lost chapters also goes for $10 or less complete.

Then worst comes to worst you can't re-download your stuff you still have a actual copy in your hand, plus you can always re-sell it down the road for whatever reason you may have.

It's why It's hard to recommend any of the XBox Originals over 400 pts. Even if they hit 400pts I'd still recommend a disc version.

The only good thing about XBO is that you don't have to put the disc in to play. I've bought two XBO's, Burnout 3 and SCCT. Burnout is great to have as an XBO if you only have a few minutes to kill. I wouldn't have bought SCCT if I had known that xbox 1 live support was going down.

But the usual cost of $15 is way too much. Finding the disc version is a much better alternative.

Yes, when you d/l the arcade game, the code appears in the Game Marketplace tab/bar/whatever.
