In for Madballs, even though I already had it on Steam. For $5 you could do much worse and though the online multiplayer is all but dead, I still think the single player is worth the admission price and if you can get a few friends together the multiplayer is neat too, with the map creation and such.

Going to check out Bugs and Lazy Raiders some more. Might get those too!

I'm still not seeing the deals active yet. I still can't find the basketball and pop-poms....

Added some stuff for 5/31

Will add the rest of June when my OXM comes in mail the next couple days

Thanks to Longshot009 for the tip on OXM

Just by playing the demos, Lazy Raiders seems to be far and away the best game out of the 3. It's a decent puzzle game which lets you rotate and flip mazes to grab treasure - the demo is real solid, and I recommend everyone try it out. It even has avatar awards!

But it's not for those with a weak stomach due to all the rotating.
I remember Madballs getting my interest somewhat in the past from videos, but never tried it. Anybody know how active the online is for it by chance?
For what it's worth, Madballs is also $5 on Steam, and I'd suggest going that route. I'll admit that I haven't played the game in a few months, but online seemed relatively active on the PC front when I picked it up for $2 around Thanksgiving. I'm willing to bet that the PC version has a better online community period, because the Steam version has gone on sale a few times since then.
PoP Classic for sure!
+1

Not sure if I'll be buying anything this week (already have Lazy Raiders, fun puzzle game), but yeah...PoP Classic will get my SpaceBucks™.

It seems like MS didn't plan for this, but since the achievements leaked and it leaked in Japan they just decided to rush it out asap. Certainly feels like it was a last minute thing to release it now.

I'm down for it! The avatar awards for it are sweet as well.
I hate multiplayer achievements for XBLA games... the community usually dies off after the first week in the majority of these games. Especially games like this where it is just shoehorned in.
You'd think developers would have gotten the message by now about how poor of an idea online achievements are for anything but AAA games, but no...

Developers want you to play their games, I don't really think they care if you get 200/200 or 1000/1000. I understand that some people will buy a game based on the ease of achievements, but they probably figure that is a pretty small number of actual people.

D'oh, looks like I'm late for Monkey Island.

The pom poms are pretty nice. especially for 80 MS pts. I use them while wearing my stormtrooper avatar. Your life is not complete until seeing a cheerleading stormtrooper. With the basketball at 80 too, I might get that as well. If there's anything that can beat a cheerleading stormtrooper, it may be a stormtrooper playing basketball.

Just tried out the demo for Band of Bugs and was pleasantly surprised. Ninjabee really does make awesome XBLA games.
Awesome. In for POP classic and the Transformers 2 pack. Just picked up TF2 on clearance and would love the classic skins.
Uhh...
How is the Lazy Raiders full game. It was a nice demo, so I may buy it this week...
I just bought the full game - if you like the demo, you will definitely like the full game since it expands on the core concepts while adding new traps like sliding blocks, spikes, and boulders that you have to manipulate.
Doom II confirmed for this Weds:

http://i.joystiq.com/2010/05/24/this-wednesday-roll-some-voodoo-dice-on-xbla/
I go nearly a year without buying anything but with Game Room and some great deals I've been spending way too much on Live. After seeing what's coming out and what's on sale this week I think I'm all set and can finally enjoy my latest purchases… NOPE! Time to buy Doom II now.

Can't be too upset about that though.

sweet! prince of persia classic 400pts nxt wk. i honestly thought they would of done it this wk to coincide with the movie hitting theaters but a wk later than i expected is fine. now if only nintendo would of released super mario world 2 on the vc to of coincided with smg 2... oh well what can i say im a dreamer. might as well of asked nintendo to release battle toads battle maniacs along with shrek.

There are some developers that understand that achievements equals sales.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind achievements that are difficult to get, but I do mind ones that are impossible to get such as online ones when the online community is dead.

The problem I have with Steam, though, is that it doesn't have the same concept of Profiles. Oh, you can have different profiles, but your license is only good for the one profile that bought it. What that means is that if my kids want to play one of the games, they can't have their own achievements set, because there's no way in hell I'm buying the game twice! For that reason I'm inclined to go with the 360 version. $5 for 3 people is a lot better then $15.

That's a legitimate reason. :)

If you're buying for yourself, though, I'd still go for the PC version.

Gonna be getting Braid, PoP Classic and maybe Gears2 All Fronts Collection if it's 800pts.

Also probably in for that basketball avatar prop >_< now I'm hoping they'll put a Celtics jersey on sale for the NBA Finals :p

Good deals for those that don't have them, but slim pickings for me considering I got most of those when they came out (like the ones on June 14th during last summers promotion) or Worms 2 already on sale.

Spolosion Man is worth $5 and should be an instabuy for those that don't have it. Same with Trials HD even though it was just cheaper as a one day sale. Actually Worms 4 is a must buy at $5 as well... all in all those are some decent sales if you have yet to get those games. I'm still waiting on stuff like Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie, though =/

If on June 14th... 'Splosion Man is 400 Microsoft Points... it will be mine! I missed out on it a few months back and am dying to get it!

The Maw needs to go on sale too!

It went on sale around Christmas.

Might finally pick up Sensible World Of Soccer at that price.
Thanks for the Ben 10 news Linkin
YW.

Doom 2 is the shit. I never really noticed how much of an upgrade it is over Doom. Level designs are better, it's harder to get lost within the levels, the super shotgun really bridges the gap between the lower end weapons and the crazy BFG/rocket launcher level of weapons.

Yeah, it'll go on sale for 400 eventually but it is worth the 800. The new episode is really pushing the Doom engine to its limit in terms of design. This isn't just a cheap cash-in on a well-known name.

Trials HD will finally be mine! :whee:

damn microsoft is working hard to get our money lol..i'll be getting prince of persia classic, band of bugs, madballs invasion, watchmen:the end is nigh. anyone know if these will be worth getting for 400 points aka $5 (Football Genius, Sensible World of Soccer, MLB Stickball)?

At first I was bummed to see Trials HD going on sale for $7 next month when I just bought it during the one-day sale for $10 on 4/29... Then I remembered how awesome the game is and how $10 is a bargain in the first place and how it's worth an extra $3 to start playing it a month and a half earlier... Cheap ego crisis averted.

Since I already have Splosion Man and Trials, nothing else coming up really excites me... except Snoopy Flying Ace next week!
