A reboot of my computer didn't seem to help Gmail. (Had my doubts, but figured I'd try it.) And I'm able to login to another Gmail account from this computer. Damn, I hope this is just some sort of temp problem. Has anyone heard of a Gmail account getting FUBARed?

Good question. Try emailing them and see what they can find out.

Whew, got in with the 'basic html view'. (Even that wasn't working for me up until about a minute ago.) I hope this was a one time fluke.

Hmm, well I'm sort of in. It's still throwing me errors. I think I'll give it until tomorrow morning and if it's still crapping on itself I'll contact them. I'm not even doing anything borderline shady with this account. (Such as using Gmail drive to store files.)
No thanks man, an ADT scares away a crackhead, but a pro thief looks at it like a challenge.
exactly. some punk or crackhead sees the sign and moves on to the next bigger house without a "security system" it's not worth the risk. a pro takes a look around, doesn't see any sensors and laughs as he drives away in your benz filled with your stuff.
Is there any easy way to get my share ratio up on oink? Should I just download a few of the more popular cd's on there?
No, you should put something up yourself.
Anyone buying God of War II this week?
I want it, but there's so much basketball to watch this week.
No, you should put something up yourself.
Hmmm... I don't have anything that's not already on there.
Anyone buying God of War II this week?
I'm hoping one of my friends, who's on spring break, will pick it up. And then I'll just borrow it. Unfortunately I just loaned him a stack of books so he may not have time for it right now. :wall: :wall: :wall:
Anyone buying God of War II this week?
I pre-ordered it from EB to pick up the demo, and will burn off some credit to pick it up.

I'm grabbing the guide from BB, if I can get them do the PM to CC. If it's like the previous GoW guide, it's well worth the money.
Oh please, we know you're the cheap one around here.
Wait. The mods have a price-list for all of us now?
That must make for interesting reading.

I'm gonna buy it at Circuit City so I can get the tshirt. Here's to hoping it's an XL.
Anyone buying God of War II this week?
Unless it's on a huge sale somewhere, no.
I've not even taken the time to beat the first one.
My backlog is ungodly, really.

It's a tie in promo for a videogame. In the US. Of course it's going to be XL. :)

No dice on the t-shirt for me.

I was very impressed with the Gears of War tshirt that Best Buy had available.

Only ten dollars for a Gears of War tshirt, 1600 Microsoft Points ($19.99) and an empty Xbox 360 DVD case -- $5 if you were bold enough to get a refund on your preorder.

Damn. Now I'm all self-concious. I just hope I'm like top 25%.
I don't want to be the board equivalent of a crackwhore.

The Tick is sublime. I imagine if it were to come out now, it would ride the success of other recent comic book adaptations. Plus it's truly hilarious.

I love how the Tick can't get to the city dam because "there's no more roofs!"

Also I love the Punisher rip-off, who is named Bigshot, who shoots everything in sight and then cries about his childhood. "Guns and superheroes don't mix!" remarks the Tick.

And one of my favorite exchanges:

Clerk@Diner> You can't be the tick.
The Tick> Why not?
Clerk> Well first of all, ticks are arachnids. You don't have eight legs.
The Tick> .......How do you know I don't?

I remember that little situation. And how some people went nuts with trying to stiff BB on the ordering.

Only time will tell. :whistle2:#

I wish that The Tick cartoon weren't so neutered. It was alright, and all... but they took an adult comic book and turned it into a FOX Kids show.

Granted, it was a show that both children and adults could enjoy... but I couldn't help but notice it lost some of its magic.

Were The Chainsaw Vigilante, District Manager, Red Eye or The Red Scare ever in the cartoon?

Not sure right now. I remember watching it as a kid, but a lot of it went over my head.

It does, however, have the Idea Men, whose helmets muffle everything that they attempt to say. Which is such a brilliant idea, I wish I'd thought of it first, and then proceeded to use it.

I'll have to figure out a way to find the Tick comics for cheap.

If you ever saw the Mystery Men movie, then read the comics... you'd be in awe of how much of a travesty the film adaptation was.

The Mystery Men comic was just brilliant and completely surreal. (Done by the man who wrote Flaming Carrot.)

I was just looking at the Flaming Carrot issue that had a special guest appearance by Christopher Walken:

I'm coloring (by hand [paintbrush tool, since I have no idea how to do vector shit]) a Slowbro drawing I did last week:

I erased the original mouth, and I'm going to add a mindless little mouth in its place once I finish coloring it.

When I first saw that I read it as Apathetic Alfred, which is a genius idea. "Yeah, whatever, Master Wayne is Batman, big deal. Oh, you want me to show you the Batcave? Sure, whatever, Joker. Not like I care."

That's awesome. fuck you, and your artistic talent though.

That's kind of the idea.

I think originally it was meant to be a kid working for a superhero, and he throws parties and stuff in his HQ when he's off battling crime.

So the guy comes back and he's like "Jimmy threw another party while I was gone..."
Not sure right now. I remember watching it as a kid, but a lot of it went over my head.
QFT.

I tried watching it as a kid, didn't get it, was kind of bored by it.

Caught it in syndication on Comedy Central when I was in High School and thought it was brilliant.
What is everyone having for dinner tonight?
G-ma made pork roast, baked potatos, green beans and sweet yellow corn. Was pretty good.

I got home from school today, ate lunch, took a nap. Woke up 4 hours later and ate dinner. Doesn't get much better than that.

i haven't made porkchops in forever cuz lionhart doesnt eat any part of a pig. not even bacon. blasphamy.

I started a new game of Dead Rising so I can get the zombie killing achievements. I'm at about 13,000, so I should have Zombie Genocider by the end of this week, assuming I actually spend time playing it.

Also, about free promo shirts, it would be nice if they offered a range of sizes. Or just medium.

Pork isn't my favorite food, but I'll eat it. Bacon is fantastic though unless you go to some crappy breakfast place and you get a 50/50 mix of bacon and rubber. Lionhart needs to man up and eat a BLT.

Wow. On the local news they reported that some lady jumped out of a van going 55mph on Rt. 58 here and the dude driving stopped the van and then backed over her, and then drove away. Surprisingly, she lived.

Wow. This has to be a first. Not only did my Circuit City actually have the games that were on sale, they had the two I wanted. Now I own Xenosaga III and Contact.

he used to, but they're best with mayo and he *hates* mayo. he decided to stop eating pork and now he'll occasionally eat a "LT" or a "TLT" (turkey lettuce tomato)

I'll give him props, yeah that's right, props, on hating mayo. I can deal with it if they accidentally put it on a burger or sandwich of mine, but I prefer to have none.
