Anyways, Fox News exposed Mass Effect for what it truly is, "Luke Skywalker meets Debbie Does Dallas", tonight. The sheer stupidity they showed really cannot be explained, you need to just watch it for yourself.

Highlights:

"If you look at the statistics, who's playing video games but adolescent males, not their dads."

"I'm not sure why it didn't get an Adult Only rating."

"What happened to Atari and pinball and Pac Man?"

Saw it says Fox News and just didn't care. A bunch of retards trying to reports the news supposedly in an "object fair and balanced way" when they are clearly, clearly the most biased news anywhere.

I have a new found respect for Geoff Keighley. Good job, dude!

I liked it when he asked the chick in blue if she had played Mass Effect and she said, “Uh, NO!" It absolutely sucks that people who only have some statistics (which are totally made up 52% of the time) can get on TV and have diarrhea of the mouth about something they know nothing about and someone who has an excellent knowledge of a subject (but an opposing viewpoint) can be cut off and only get about 20-25 seconds of a 6.5 minute spot on TV

Yeah, unfortunately we live in a country where many people have fought and died for our right to express ourselves freely. Unfortunately the government doesn't completely censor all media for "objectionable" content so that some slob of a parent can leave little Johnny unsupervised for hours on end without fear that he will be emotionally assaulted by the vile sight of a woman's naked breast. What a cruel, immoral, unjust world!
 
Is it just me or did all those idiots keep saying "lets face it" and "statistics" while rambling on and on. That dude Geoff Keighley came off great, as he actually spoke with some dignity vs the chick where they showed her book first.

The other side lost argument when the commentator said "it cracks me up that companies bring up controls and timers, kids will find a way to see this on the internet." So a 12 year old kid would rather see digital nudity over real nudity? Instead of googling "Mass Effect porn" why not just "real hot porn?" Not only that but whos to say that the parents who put controls and timers on their Xbox don't do so on the internet? And adolescent males being the predominant players? I thought most statistics showed the opposite, that the average player was in their early to late 20s.

I'm tired of everyone blaming video games and saying this and that, Mass Effect is M rated, meaning a kid cannot even buy it, if Mass Effect was E10+ then maybe I could see the outcry being legit, once again its the video games fault and not the parents who are supposed to monitor their kids. If you can't watch your children, maybe you aren't ready to be having them.

And full frontal suddenly becomes a blue ass, which I've seen just as much on Cartoon Network, etc. But no outcry there folks. Its sad that a multibillion dollar industry still has little to no credibility to anyone not informed or in the industry.
 
Someday, decades from now, everyone will look back on this and laugh. If this were a movie, it would be no news.

Keighley really came off well. He handled the situation very professionally. It was hilarious how he pretty much exposed that chick as a moron.

But yeah, this was total BS. Apparently you can control what happens in the scene? I wish I had known that. I would of course opted for the back door shennanigans.

What really ticks me off the most is how that bitch was saying Mass Effect objectifies women. If there's anything I love BioWare for, it's for their consistently positive representation of all genders, races and sexual orientations. From Knights of the Old Republic women were strong, intelligent, varied, individual, heroic. Knights of the Old Republic even represented homosexual relationships positively, with loving, strong, non stereotypical characters. In Jade Empire you build some very important and strong bonds with strong female leads in the game (ignoring the fact that 50% of the characters you can play are females themselves.)
 
Truth be told, anytime something other than an actual video game or tech show gives me info about game I tune it out. It doesn't matter if they lean left or right, most of the people from CNN, Foxnews or anywhere else don't know anything about games.
 
I can't wait until GTA4 comes out and all the little bitches start whining about how all our kids are going to be cop killers, violent,etc. Games aren't just for kids anymore and they haven't been for a long while. The people in the media are just so out of touch with reality.
 
It shocks and bothers me how shit like this is considered investigative reporting. Also how is it that the woman that's against the game has a longer chance to talk than Geoff who was there to defend and offer further understanding for it....and the table panel...what a joke...that last guy who spoke made more sense, stating that its the parents responsibility and there should be no censorship on them.
 
Assuming Bethesda doesn't chicken out, I think Jack Thompson, FOX News, etc. are going have an ABSOLUTE field day with Fallout 3.
