Anyone know how well COH works via Steam? I have the DVD version but never ended up playing it because the patch system is so brutal and terrible. If Steam handles the patching and does it well, I'd pay three bucks to finally get to play it.

I missed the Forza deal. I like the racers, so I couldn't resist forza, even at full price...so, I gave in and picked it up at CC yesterday. I was happily surprised to get a $10 GC out of it. :)
The jury is still out on steam for me...it certainly is a pain in the ass--that said, it IS nice to not have to play patch bingo at the LAN party. The game itself is terrific...probably under-rated by most reviewers.

CC Deal is for Platinum Hits, Players Choice and Greatest Hits, so I don't believe this would apply--and with people taking advantage of their system problems earlier in the week to the extent they did, I would expect the clerks to be on their toes.
I don't think the lack of clearance has anything to do with employees buying stuff, I think it is seasonal. The big blitz is before the holiday items are out. Expect some dead time for a while...
