If they are sealed ones from Japan, then they are blind box. I picked some up the last time I was there as gifts, and they really are tiny. I think I paid $1.50 each for them, but at $5.99, I would strongly encourage anyone on the fence to consider spending their money on something else.

I build tiny stereo systems. Seriously. I only have picture of one, but I spent hours using acrylic paints to get that wonderful early 80's faux-wood look.

None of that is really out of place for screenings. I've had everything from the obvious no cellphones, to even not being allowed to have my car alarm remote in the theatre with me. NDA's aren't too common for screenings, since the point of it is to generate buzz, but since this is (hopefully)...

This may be more work than you're looking for, but the way with the least amount of new equipment to buy, would be to get a PC capture card or USB, then use a normal VCR to play to your PC and capture what you want. That way, you can dump it to DVD and add whatever codecs your player might...
