Maxim, sadly, has become utter garbage. It used to be a fun guy's magazine. Maybe all those free subscriptions doomed it into obscurity. I plan to let my subscription die quietly... sometime in the next decade. ;)

Ugh. I think all these free subscriptions are why Maxim sucks lately. Has anyone else noticed that the mag is mostly devoid of the guy humor that used to make it great? After my subscription runs out (in, I think, 4 years or so) I will likely not renew it. If it even lasts that long...

Hmm. It didn't ask me for my SSN, and I didn't have a problem with the age check. I'm 35 IRL, so I guess it wasn't an issue. Now I'll just have to wait and see if I get it.

True to a point. Playboy has several things going for it,though. I especially enjoy when they get celebrities to pose in their magazine. You usually don't find that stuff online unless it's a paparazzi shot. Plus, I like their advisor, jokes, and cartoons.
