I dunno, I'd still consider Epic Game store as a "disruptive competitor" in the same way MoviePass was. Both started off with massive acclaim - I remember when EGS launched, people lauded it for it's larger share of the cut for developers, and possibly a steam competitor... but like MoviePass...

Everyone is trying to be the new Netflix or Steam. I think competition is a good thing, if only for the fact that it forces the entrenched monopoly to (usually) make changes in order to stay competitive. Whether the competitors last long is a moot point; as long as it encourages change...
