[Dead] Bayonetta (360/PS3) $9.98 with free shipping at Amazon
Glad I jumped on the PS3 version, though I have the better 360 version, this game is so legit

The only negative about this game is that Bayonetta shares Sarah Palin's glasses. Really, aside from the glasses, there really is no resemblance between Bayonetta and Palin (thank goodness).

Politics aside, an awesome game. This made me want to pick up Vanquish (hope to when it drops to $10-15) and I hope Platinum gives us a sequel.

It arrived already. Amazon rocks with free shipping

Time to snuggle up with future prez Sarah and sum blazin guns!

A Christmas Miracle. I'm off for 10 days.

Ho Ho Ho who wouldn't game

If everyone waits until their games hit $10-15, they won't be making any more games, let alone sequels. They were lucky to form Platinum Games when Clover Studio (Okami, Viewtiful Joe) went under - lightning isn't about to strike twice. All their current titles to date have sold shit. Having said that, they still have at least one more game in the pipeline with Sega.

This game was very fun. To me the fast pace and over the top battles are very reminiscent of Devil May Cry. But the action and speed of the battles are much faster. It's a cross between DMC and GoW 3. For $10 or anything near it's well worth the price. As for the difference between 360 and PS3 the 360 is whole lot clearer and the PS3 load times (before install) are horrendous in comparison. Also the PS3 version appeared darker in most scenes, even with a brightness, contrast and backlighting adjustment on my HDTV. If you own a 360 and PS3 go with the 360 version even if a little higher.

Absolutely agree. I bought Bayonetta for full and recently did the same for Enslaved. And I'm probably one of the few people who bought all of Clover's games last gen.

I realize that new IPs need our support, and I wish I could give the same to Vanquish (poor law student that I am), but I can't always carry the ship. New IP developers really need to do a better job of advertising their games. Okami barely got any advertising and -- well -- it sold like crap. On the other hand, I recall PN03 getting a lot of ads, and even I will admit that Mikami game sucked hard.

I've barely seen anything for Vanquish (which, given it's published and promoted by Sega, doesn't amaze me one bit). It's almost as if publishers want new IP to fail so they can keep small developers chained to low fees.

Anyways, amazing games such as Bayonetta still get the attention they deserve through word-of-mouth. And even though it never gets the crazy sales numbers of a Halo or Killzone, publishers do take notice and that's how we get sequels (Viewtiful Joe 2, baby!).
Has there been talk of a sequel for this gem? I hope so.

This game was really a blast to play.
Yes, there has been talk of a sequel, or at least a spin-off. This article talks about the quote from Game Informer:

I may be one of the few people here that actually liked PN03. Yes, the recycled enemies and corridors got old, but the gameplay was solid enough.

Then again, I got it new for $5 at Circuit City, so I couldn't complain at the price.

I will surely raise a glass of Guinness to that! Cheers!:applause::beer:

I tried out this game when it was 18$ at Gamestop and then returned it two days later. Horrible game just like the first Devil May Cry. I laughed at all the parts when Bayonetta was trying to be sexy.

that's what you're SUPPOSED to do. It's not supposed to be porn dude. It's a tongue in cheek laugher built on top of a fantastic action game.

As for this game being horrible, I guess you can't please everyone.

Wow, talk about taking things to seriously.

I found it to be better then God of War 3.

That would save me a lot of money, even though I buy most games for $10, LOL.

I know it's not porn, I never said it was I was just laughing at what has already been done in the DMC series. So it was nothing surprising. I played and beat Devil May cry in 2 days the combat was fun and in Bayonetta but that was about it. (And don't get me started on the film strips)
Oh and the Awful British Voice Overs. I'm sorry but even if it is tongue in cheek comedy I don't find it the least bit funny.

All I have to say is to me Devil May Cry 2 was much better then 1 on Lucia's disc that is.

Deal is not dead, look towards the More Buying Options column under the Add to Shopping List link and the option to buy 9.98 direct from Amazon with Prime will be there. This is for both the 360 and the PS3.

noobeffect is right , the deal is still alive. Seriously, you need to get this game if you don't have it. This is probably the only time I felt sad getting 1000 Achievement points on a game because I knew with my heavy backlog of games I probably wouldn't have much time to replay it.

Thanks for pointing it out! Would have missed it otherwise.
Usually ships in 1 to 2 months

Interesting, never seen that one before but yes the deal seems to still be there
That's so they can be safe. The more realistic number is probably a couple weeks, or even less.

How hard is this game? I'm generally pretty bad at beat 'em type action games, and I'm trying to decide what difficulty level I should play this on.

I ordered it and waiting a month or two for this game is no big deal for me, I'm in no rush to play it. I enjoyed the demo a lot other then the awful hand cramps it gave me, thanks for the heads up.

I don't see it for PS3 (I don't have a 360, ohterwise I'd get that version). The price is only listed as $9.98 when looking at the 360 version. Am I missing something?

I hardly think a month would matter to most people. It's not like this game is gonna drop below $10 (unless Amazon Warehouse gets used copies in for $8 or less) so misewell grab it for the price and play your other backlog games in the meantime.

^^ Exactly. For paying ten bucks, the price of an overpriced arcade title i can get a full game of somehting I have wanted and heard is great and is only a year old to surprise me in the mail next month :p

Deal is NOT dead. Check the far right side of the page under "More Buying Choices". Game is still going for deal price.

Then why do I have a copy from amazon in my cart for $9.98 even after refreshing the cart several times?

Use your eyes, people.
