Forza Horizon

Club is updated as of a few hours ago...

I need a favor, and I'm hoping that someone in this thread can help...

Is there anyone in this thread who is also a member of the Forza 4 CAG Car Club? If so can you boot up Forza 4 and look and see if it tells you who is the club leader... I've been trying to get access for awhile now and have had no luck. (I've even bumped the rather dead Forza 4 thread too.)
 
Alright I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a video that I made that was uploaded to the Forza site from in-game... Does anyone know exactly where you are supposed to go?

Yea, if you are in free drive, when you hit Y to rewind, there is an option to view replay. From there you can create a movie. I made the movie, and it said it was uploaded, but now I can't find it. It was just a pretty odd flip that somehow happened in my Vette. I was just driving down a dirt road all of a sudden the left side just launched in the air and barrel rolled the car one time and back onto its tires. It was weird/funny as hell.
 
I never really do the rival challenges to be honest, but it was pretty fun seeing CheapyD's name pop up for me to challenge. Of course I had to do it just so I could say I beat him at something... lol
 
I felt like getting competitive after seeing all of the messages saying someone beat my speed at different locations and felt the need to at least attempt some of them. Since I joined the club, it is really nice to be able to see the friend and club leaderboard filled with people who enjoy this game as much as I do.

Anyone want to get a game night set up? We could do some racing or free roam or something.

I'll have to send a join request to the car club... I've only been playing single player and am halfway through the pink wristband. I'm really enjoying it. Kind of wishing I would have also picked this up for $15 in addition to the NFS:MW. I like both games, and had came across this at the library so I figured it was a no-brainer for a 3 week rental at no cost. Then I'll get back to Most Wanted.

It's crazy because I had tried the demo for this and hated it. The controls and handling seemed a lot more arcade-like.

You'll know my cars in the club... All are painted the same way and have my initials on them lol.

I'm pretty sure the controls are exactly the same... The real issue with the demo is the first race. Its not suppose to be winnable (though it is) and the AI rubber bands really bad.

Pretty sure I got you added to the club yesterday... (I was online goofy of on one of the monthly rival events and got myself rated in the mid 200s overall) If not I'll do so today.

That sounds awesome but I am determined to wait and see if there is a sale of some sort on the season pass as well. I just can't convince myself to pay 4000 msp for it.
 
OMG! that trailer looks sick!

does this mean the free roam world is bigger now with the addition (assuming you get the addition)?

1600 points. that would push me over the 2000 point mark for the Xbox Rewards December thing... then again, I'm not even close to finishing the game. So the sane part of me says to hold off because by the time I finish, it'll probably be on sale.

I believe I read somewhere that the rally addition will be a separate part of the game and not included in the free roam portion of the single player. There will be a menu option to access the new content on the main menu.
 
aww. that's a major bummer. i guess it's another factor to consider.

I think they should've done it like Burnout Paradise (a game I despise) where you could add Big Surf Island to your world.

I still think it will be a great addition but I know what you mean, it would have been cool to add the new races to the current map. I tried looking for where I read that information from but couldn't find the article. I just hope they put the season pass on sale at some point so I can play the expansion and the new cars.
 
Hi, I finally played Forza Horizon today for the first time. I heard there was a car club from a friend on here. I would love to join. My GT is the same: TrinityQiTrance. :)

Along with the other two people... I did not look at the club totals but I'm simply amazed at how big the club is... I thought it would max out around 20 or so... and we have at least 60! :D

Speaking of clubs... I started a new CAG club for Forza 4 the day since the CAGs who started it don't maintain it anymore. (Its called CAG3. Please fill free to join it.)
 
Can't stop playing mp just to see which car I unlock next. I now have an extra mercedes code for BB pre-order for trade. I'd prefer the amestop ferrari, but am open to other trades. LMK.

Just about finished up with the SP. I'm about halfway through the Purple Wristband and an overall ranking of 11 I think. Oddly enough one of my favorite cars so far for racking up points is the 2006 Audi. That car fully tuned is a monster, largely in part to being AWD and being very easy to drift.
 
Check your file depot for gifts from Turn 10. A RUF Yellowbird for non-VIPs and a unicorn fiesta as well as the RUF for VIP. FM4 also got a pair of gift cars. All with special liveries.

Popped in my copy that I got yesterday and am enjoying myself so far. Hopefully this time I actually try to make liveries but we shall see if time permits.

Regardless, sent a request to join the cag car club to JDawg. Not sure if I have to do anything else on my end regarding that or not.

I'm not a club leader, so I don't know if I can invite members, but I'll look tonight.

Next car pack is out on January 1St. Free car is a 95 mustang. Season pass car is Zonda cirque.
 
I just got into playing it today after playing a few minutes when it came from the $15 MS Store sale last month.

Anyway, the Javelin AMX is insane for burnouts. I put maybe 10k credit into tuning it up (new transmission and the weight reduction) and I just found a little parking lot and I can get the ultimate burnout in a few seconds. I only have to do a quick tap for a turn and it does at least a 180.

I did go back to the car club in the central hub and tried sending a request in that way although it said "you already have a request pending". Hard to say.
 
Having never played a Forza game before, knowing this one is quite different eyed me to get it for cheap during the holidays from the Microsoft store. Having said that...I'm REALLY enjoying this so far. It's like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, except...what it should've been.

I like being able to tailor the game to me so I find it enjoyable. It gives it a very nice, chill atmosphere to the whole premise. Something I sorely miss out of my racing games, which have just been 'we're going to push you as hard as humanly possible in order to beat it' as of late.

Hi guys! Just bought Forza Horizon the other day! Its brilliant put about 6 or 7 hours into it now and I'm on the orange band! I also got quite a nice selection of cars! I put an request for the CAG car club today so could you accept me in? My GT is WkdBlackTrauma
 
Really debating getting the season pass. Have a $25 giftcard coming so that would cover half. Then I have a $10 coupon...so $15 for the season pass seems like a no brainer, but idk. haha So indecisive.
 
I'd be down for that. Can't say I'd be the most competitive with not having a whole lot of cars unlocked though.

Well, working graveyard has me at a disadvantage as my nights are very limited... Sundays and Mondays are pretty much it for me. You guys (gals) can always do it without me but I would be willing to do it either night, this week (though holiday weekend) or a week in the future. Just let me know. :)

Anyhow, the club is up to date again. I'm really sorry to the five or so people who had to wait far too long to get in. (I got busy, though not with anything important, and just kept running out of time to add you all. I'm a bad person.)

I'm pretty happy with it... Though it was really difficult to get the McLaren to behave badly like that. It doesn't lose traction easily.
 
Has anybody figured out what happens to your movies after you upload them? I'm looking in the "My Forza" tab on the website, but I only see a section for photos. I've got two hilarious videos that I uploaded and I'll be pissed if I lose them.

EDIT - Ok, I think I figured it out. It's just a horribly designed interface. Once you go into your gallery, there's a little sidebar that talks about "big shots" and videos...with a link below to download whichever one you uploaded (of which there's only space for one thing). In addition, it's only stored on their server for 24 hours. So, you basically need to download it immediately if you want to keep it. I guess I'll be uploading the video to Youtube here in a second. Here's a sneak peak of what happened though, lol.

I've gotten up to Orange rank recently, and I'm almost at purple where I just discovered that the red dots on my map are the Discount signs I need to destroy. Pretty cool. All you have to do is drive on the road and it appears, so if you miss it there's no worries. This game has so many good design choices like that.

But I did fail one Challenge mission against a Helicopter. I felt like the game just wouldn't let me win that one for some reason. It was frustrating, but I'll try it again at some point.

There's one thing I can't figure out though, and that's how to do Stunt Runs. I can never get anywhere near enough points to pass it.

Funny you mention stunt runs, since for the longest time I didn't know how to do the PR stunts. Didn't realize you actually had to enter the outposts, since I was thinking you only used those for fast travel.

As far as getting points, it depends on the route. There's a highway route where the only way to get points mostly is via speed and near misses, but a lot of times you can do a combo. The above, running over streets signs and "landscaping", or a potential big gainer in drifting. A mix of those and I think I only failed a stunt run once. And I consider myself pretty average.

Edit: While I think about it, have any of you guys done any custom paints? I've not yet myself since I was still focused on the main game (only recently got pink wristbands), but was thinking of seeing what I could whip up. Granted, my artistic skills are...lacking to put it nicely.
